Reviewed By Bob_DianeWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay, Paolo and Sirpa are incredible hosts and the staff are lovely, nothing was too much trouble and at times they are mind readers with, for example, cold water being provided pool side just as you think you could do with one! We enjoyed being in a B&B rather than a larger hotel. The pool is glorious and it was fabulous to be able to nip in and out of the water straight from your room. I also enjoyed a couple of excellent massages pool side at a very reasonable price (600bht) arranged through the B&B. We spent a full week at the Villa and once we got used to braving the no pavement streets and the crazy traffic on the main road, there were decent restaurants to walk to. I also enjoyed the nearby Smile yoga studio; classes were tough but very rewarding. The bedroom and bathroom at the Villa were huge and well appointed with a large comfortable bed. We paid a little extra for the larger suite and it was in a great position at one end of the pool. The aircon was effective and quiet, an essential in Thailand! Our favourite restaurant within walking distance was Suay (see separate review). We also had an excellent Italian meal at L’Opera in Boat Avenue (owned by Paolo) and we even got lift back to the Villa. We also really enjoyed the Gallery Cafe (nice meals and lunches) and Neopolian for a great coffee (both walking distance). Our favourite night was a wonderful meal at the Villa, delicious food and great company. We were delighted to be invited and to share a special night with returning guests and Paolo and Sirpa. There was a variety of food at breakfast including a wide choice of quality fruit, bread and pastries served at a chilled poolside setting. We had a car for the week but with hindsight would have preferred to have been picked up at the airport (the Villa was very difficult to find on day one without a sat nav or GPS; very simple to find after that). A hire car for say 3 days would have been ideal. Blue Tree Lagoon was worth a visit for a day and was a very short drive from the Villa. Paolo was so well organised and arranged lifts to a wonderful beach in the day and into Boat Avenue in the evening. We also took the car to the beach intending to leave earlier but ended up there until near 4pm anyway. Sirpa was on a professional cocktail course during our stay and we tried some stunners!

Under karantänen på rummet beställde vi middag och dricka samt kaffe till familjen för ca 500 kr. Mycket prisvärt! Själva rummen och frukosten var också prisvärda, ca 1000 kr för två rum för fem personer. Sammanfattningsvis ett mycket bra hotell första natten. Dock hade man nog inte valt det om man vill ha sol och bad.

Peaceful and Relaxation at a hideaway Resort
Reviewed By PatchWellingWe stayed here for seven nights and wished we booked more time here. But, we didn’t know what the Resort would be like from Goggle search. I loved it here and will be coming back for sure! The Kiri Resort is tucked away in Amphoe Thalang and away from the main road. We were in Canal 5 and looking around the Resort there were only 10 or so. There are some permanent residences here in the gated section. Plus the Red Room Suites has about 12 rooms, so, not a big resort which suited us. It is set in local rural Phuket and you will need a vehicle to get to places. The nearest 7/11, mini Tesco Lotus and Super Cheap are about 2km, turning right out of the Resort. But, do go into the local stores near the Resort, you can beers and all sort at local prices. Our pool villa is awesome and clean. We spent 4/7 days by the pool and an occasional trips to the beaches. Our two bedrooms suite is fully equipped for self-catering. There was a full set of kitchen equipment and condiments for use. There was even washing up liquid and sponge which were often neglected in other self-catering Resort. In your room, there is a red disc thing with plug, it is a mosquito ? destroyer, which works like a treat! The villa was equipped with air-con and fan. Internet was amazing as we’d logged in to work on our laptops. TV reception was a bit poor but we had our HDMI cable and watch films on our phones. However, the bedrooms was missing TV, nightstand and lamp shades which give you no option to read in bed. Our pool was lovely and we used it every day. It gets cleaned every other day of leaves and debris. The pool is about 1.5m depth all the way round. It is not heated but trust me you welcome the cool water on a hot day. We had do not disturbed sign on the door and only remove when we wandered outside for food. Our room was always cleaned very well by friendly maids. You can do your own clothes washing too and it dried overnight. But laundry service is available. We did not use the restaurant service at all because I’d cooked everything. The menu offers looked amazing though. There is a Restaurant here but it is for the Red Room Suites and guest. You ordered breakfast, lunch, dinner for an In-room service but it stopped at 8pm, same time as reception. The price is reasonable. The Resort is manned 24 hours by security but you cannot get 24 hours services because reception closes at 8pm. You have to be organised and either ordered your own cab if you want to go out. To the left of the Resort, there is not much around except a big market about 2km away, which is for locals. It opens on Friday night only but we didn’t know until driving past. We traveled around using the free shuttle service. It was not busy at this time, so we able to ask the driver for an earlier pick up. The shuttle services goes to a large shopping complex with a Tesco Lotus daily at 13.00-15.30 and to Surin beach at 11.00-16.30. There might be more services at summer months. We were lucky to have gone to Layan beach which was nicer than Surin beach using the shuttle. The driver ran us around outside these shuttle service schedule. Speak to him nicely ? All the staff were friendly and helpful, which added to the great stay! Thanks to the team!! I’d highly recommend this resort for value for money, friendliness, cleanliness and peacefulness. A recommendation to the Resort is adding more routes for guests, perhaps to Porte de Phuket, which opened on 12th December. Or some more literature on local areas and where to eat out. We only saw this on the way to Layan beach. We’d like to see more of the neighbours especially as we didn’t rent a vehicle and don’t know what’s around. There were no local buses that we could have used to get to the main road to have a walk or look around either. Perhaps as the areas become busier with other projects there will be more services available. I would still come back here for the peace and tranquility of the resort.

Great villa with 5 star service!
Reviewed By James NThe staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the stay - I would like to give a special thanks to the manager and bell boy (cart driver) who especially went above and beyond. Having said that, all the front office staff were extremely helpful and really took the time to make our stay one to remember! The restaurant is amazing too as they served a wide verity of fantastic food and the service was phenomenal. This is without doubt one of our favourite villas we stayed in during our time in Thailand because of the service! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the front office staff and the manager. We checked in to the rooms which were very clean and also had amazing sea view. This is a great villa with a 5 star atmosphere - a true sample of excellent hospitality! Thank you everyone!

Looks better on the pictures
Reviewed By sunburn15Only booked 1 night here the place looks much better on the pictures than in real life. Our room was big and clean, the bed was comfy with good quality pillows and towels. The air con and wi fi worked well. The property is old and tired and in need of refurbishment, the pool is very small and looked dirty we did not use it. Breakfast was usual Thai standard.

However bus loads of Chinese tourists arrive late every evening making excessive noise, smoking and generally being unrully until late into the night which we found rather annoying. Recommend another location if you’d like a good nights rest.
