Reviewed By Viaggiatore0607I lost my sign on and password - we traveled in October 2019. This hotel in this small town was a charming place. This is a charming town with old world cultures. Simple rooms which were clean. A lovely breakfast was served. Parking was close by.

We booked last minute and were warmly welcomed by Lorenzo with a huge smile and a list of recommended restaurants, bars and attractions which were all fantastic. The rooms are modern, spotlessly clean, fully equipped and quiet. We couldn’t ask for anything more. Our best stay in Italy by far. It’s a great location for a 5 minute walk to the main area. We loved Reggio Calabria too, one of the most authentic and reasonably priced cities in Italy. It’s not touristic, it’s s proper Italy. Cannot recommended this hotel and city enough. I’ll be coming back next year. Thank you to all the lovely staff who looked after us so well.

Large windows with a panoramic view. Windows open wide or or can be opened only a few inches for a breeze. Awesome shower that's very small.

Not a resort - few amenities - more of a banquet hall with hotel rooms
Reviewed By amguest954This is my second time at this hotel and although it is very pretty, would not stay again. Spent a week here recently and had a genuine chance to explore the premises. Calling this hotel a 5-star resort is not accurate - this is a banquet hall with hotel rooms. There are very few amenities and certainly not reflective of a 5-star premises. I believe there is a spa but there was no info in our room about it. I don't understand other reviewers' comments regarding the amenities because we were unable to find many. There is no room service and no ability to obtain food or drinks during the day. Only continental breakfast (included with the room charge) and dinner is available (expensive but good). Get to the breakfast room early as they stop replenishing about an hour before they close the dining room. Service is very good, however. Staff are friendly and very pleasant. Rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Be warned - this hotel has various events but they won't tell you about them. We suffered through an ALL-NIGHT discotecque event with a SCREAMING DJ and ear-shattering techno music until 5 AM. We were not told of this event when we checked in and only when we specifically asked what the equipment set-up was for, were we told what was happening. IT WAS AWFUL - no sleep for the entire night - at a hotel! There were 3 other wedding events that same week but they were quiet. We booked the shuttle to use the beach facilities in Roccello which was great, however, the driver failed to show up at the pre-arranged time to pick us up. They did send the driver for the Italian party that booked slightly later than we did so we were able to use their shuttle. This is typical of Italy so we weren't surprised but really annoyed. The staff try to please but there's so little to offer at this place, they are limited. If you are touring the area and don't need anything during the day, this hotel is great but not if you want to hang around the "resort" all day.

A MAGICAL PLACE IN A BEAUTIFUL TOWN
Reviewed By SeattleBinniScilla is a charming and picturesque spot, and B&B La Veduta is the perfect base to enjoy it from. As others have said, this is a spotlessly clean small accommodation with just three rooms, one atop the other above a ground floor kitchen and breakfast area. All three rooms have the same floor plan, with comfortable balconies directly above the water affording a stunning view out to the sea and up and down the coast…nice chairs with cushions. The sound of the water lapping at the shore as we went to sleep was wonderful! Each room has a spacious private bath across the hall…the stairwell bisects the building. We were on the top floor which featured a lovely wooden ceiling that angled upwards making the room feel quite spacious. But any of the rooms would be lovely. What really made our three-night stay special was our hosts. Nella is a warm and engaging person who is clearly proud of her business and town. She claims her English is not good, but she loves to chat and manages to communicate a lot in a charming combination of Italian, English, and French. The breakfast served here is the best: a nice assortment of meat, cheese, and breads plus lovely fresh fruit and wonderful home-made tarts and cakes. Nella is a great baker! They went the extra mile for us: on our last night, when we asked if a cab could be ordered to take us in the morning to nearby Villa San Giovanni to catch a passenger ferry to Messina in Sicily, Nella insisted Michelle take us. So nice! In the town, we loved both wine bars that are just down the street from La Veduta and there’s a lot of great seafood to be had in the restaurants all along the water. We also enjoyed a meat-centric meal in the “upstairs” part of the town at a restaurant called Osteria del Centro. We shared the vitello tonnato as a first course and it was perfectly prepared.

Tall ceilings, chandeliers, balcony overlooking the Olympic-sized swimming pool, and manicured grounds, with a backdrop of mountains and the Mediterranean Sea. The breakfast was wonderful and dinner at the restaurant was delicious. It was also too fun to walk under the road through the tunnel (right to the side of the hotel) and emerge on a beautiful beach. Well-suited for families, the hotel can accommodate everyone - it's huge! Even the inside stairways are glamorous!

The structure is also provided with address a fantastic terrace complete with every comfort for the guests.

Reviewed By RobertFGCarterWe didn't stay but had a snack lunch in the bar. Lovely panini caprese. Great coffee and delectable canolli. The staff (there was a shift change whilst there) were both very good making sure we were happy with our food and doing their bit to communicate with limited Italian on our side. Close to the station. Ideal if you have a wait for a connection.
