Lovely day in the nature

We had a lovely truffle hunting experience with my husband, surrounded by lovely nature, beautiful animals and warm and open people who love what they do. The team was really professional and caring about each visitor’s experience. The place is absolutely authentic and beautiful, but at the same time really comfortable. Truffle hunting was a great fun and challenge at the same time, with adorable and professional dogs we managed to find 3 truffles in its’ absolutely natural state. The place is now our must-visit to stay longer and enjoy other activities available :)

Good quality B@B. The bedrooms were very comfortable and plenty of space. The breakfast was okay but more staff required to refill and service the dining room. As we were meeting family from the airport it is very convenient to stay there.

All the hype - Absolutely deserved

Reviewed By Crewealex7

Attracted here by positive and consistent reviews. Equally impressed by the Di Stefano and Pisa itself- both charming, traditional and friendly. Staff, particularly reception, couldn’t be more helpful or knowledgeable. Room was comfortable, very clean and at this time of year - a very welcome drinks fridge and small balcony overlooking the classic red tile rooftops of the city. Breakfast traditionally continental , good choices and continually replenished. The medieval dining room very impressively restored. Visits - Florence stunning although heaving. Marina de Pisa disappointed - further investment/development needed in the stone beached local resort. Wouldn’t hesitate to use Di Stefano again as a base to explore other towns of Tuscany.

Bagni di Pisa Palace & Thermal Spa

An elegant 5-star resort affiliated with "The Leading Small Hotels of the World," prestigious brand of the luxury hotellerie, completed by a large thermal Spa. Set amid the gentle hills of Tuscany and kissed by the scented winds of the Mediterranean sea, Bagni di Pisa is a magnificent and sumptuous building of great historical value. Now lovingly restored to its original splendor, it was once owned by the Grand Duke of Tuscany and chosen by the European aristocracy as a place to spend their summer holidays. Dating back to the 18th century, the building is set in a beautiful park of olive trees and combines classical architecture with modern facilities. Accommodation ranges from well-designed comfort to elegant and spacious suites, which have separate living rooms, marble baths and original 18th-century frescoes. Groups visiting this luxurious hotel have access to modern meeting facilities, to a refined spa and thermal centre, as well as plenty of outdoor leisure activities in the natural surroundings.

Impressive, but maze- like

Reviewed By Bob J

Let me begin by saying this hotel is very impressive. It was built by the Grand Duke Francesco di Lorena and is located a few miles from Pisa. It’s well known for its thermal spas and restaurant. We only stayed one night. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was nice and well appointed. My only concern was the bathtub was tall and surrounded by glass. Getting in and out to access the shower was tricky for older folks like me. The palace is quite large and it’s easy to get lost. We finally took a staircase to get to the main floor when we couldn’t find the elevator. I’d suggest adding directional signs. Overall a very nice stay.

Comfortable, beautiful, relaxing hotel with delicious breakfast.

We stayed at Villa Rioddi in October 2019 after traveling for a few weeks. The hotel was great... very comfortable - large rooms, modern, spacious baths, friendly, helpful staff. Luca showed us a map of the area and had many suggestions for day trips. We were interested in a vineyard tour and he had several ideas. Breakfast was included and was fantastic. All food was made in house with local ingredients. There were so many choices we couldn't try them all. The hotel is in the country with beautiful grounds and a large pool. It's conveniently located to Volterra. This hotel is great for families. Two families with young children were there when we were and the kids had a great time in the pool and on the grounds. Thank you, Luca, for a wonderful stay.

Good hotel in a great location

Reviewed By SuffolkScot

We really enjoyed our one night stay at this hotel. It was a 10 minute walk from station and an easy walk to The Tower. Reception recommended a local restaurant which was good. . Our room was at the back and was quiet. It was very clean but maybe a little dated. There is an lovely outside terrace where you can take your drinks. We were planning on taking the PisaMover from station back to airport but when we checked the hotel shuttle it was the same price (€5) without the walk. Breakfast was very nice with lots of choices.

The Perfect Stay

Reviewed By geema10

My 17 year old son and I have just come back from a 4 night stay at the Hotel Bristol. After researching hotels and areas to stay we chose the Hotel Bristol based on reviews and we were not disappointed! The hotel is in a great location just 15 minutes drive from Pisa airport. We chose a superior room which is in a separate block near the swimming pool. The room was perfect, very spacious and with plenty of wardrobe space, drawers, a large bathroom with walk-in shower, complimentary toiletries, complimentary slippers, a safe and a fridge with 2 bottles of water in (which we really appreciated coming straight from the airport!) The wifi in the room was also really fast and reliable (there is also separate wifi around the pool which was also good) I took my own teabags and coffee and asked Enrico if he could supply a kettle. He immediately came back with one and 2 mugs. He also told us there was a supermarket nearby and we could put food in the fridge which was very convenient. The room was spotlessly clean and each day when we returned had been cleaned to a very high standard with fresh towels each day. We loved the pool area. It was generally very quiet as most people were out sightseeing. We would spend an hour or 2 round the pool at the end of each day but it was never crowded and although there is only 12 sunbeds there were always some free. There was also an honesty bar near the pool which looked well stocked although we didn't actually use this. The pool was nice to swim in, big enough to do lengths and also had a jacuzzi section next to it. Next to the pool there is a tennis court and also free bike hire although again we didn't use these. Breakfasts were fantastic! So much choice! Fresh fruit, cereal, pastries, cakes, nuts, biscuits, cakes, fruit juice. yoghurts, hot drinks, various teabag flavours, a toaster for toasting bread, ham and cheese. We really ate like kings each morning and Enrico and his team were always on hand to see if you wanted a hot drink or were buzzing about cleaning things up or restocking the breakfast area. We found the location perfect for sightseeing. We caught the no 10 bus to Pisa the first day (bought tickets from the tabacconist shop round the corner which Enrico told us about) The bus stop is a short walk away and it's a 25 min trip. The 2nd day we asked to book a taxi to the train station in Pisa and Enrico called the firm he uses so we wouldn't be overcharged on the fare. The driver was lovely, very friendly and the car was immaculate. He also told us to text him the time we would be back at Pisa train station and he would come and collect us (which he did, he was there waving when we emerged from the train station) That day we caught the train to Florence (about an hours journey) The last day we again caught the bus to the train station in Pisa and caught the train to Lucca. Again another fabulous day out! The location of the hotel itself in Tirrenia is perfect. It is a lovely quiet resort on the beach and feels very Italian. We found plenty of restaurants in the town to eat at and everyone was very welcoming. On our last day Enrico had again booked a driver to take us to the airport and we were extremely sad to leave. I would not hesitate to stay again at Hotel Bristol. Enrico is such a natural hotelier, he is born to do it! He is on hand constantly, genuinely cares about his guests and cares that they have a good stay. As a woman travelling with her son I felt very safe and felt that if we'd have experience any problems he would have been there to assist us. Thanks Enrico and your team for a wonderful holiday and I hope one day to visit again!

Night in Pisa

Reviewed By bananas792

We stayed in this hotel for one night during our stay in Pisa. Angela was very welcoming and friendly. In fact, all the staff were lovely! Most importantly, we had a great nights sleep here. The beds were large and comfortable and the room was exceptionally clean. The bathroom was spacious and the shutters blacked out the entire room so we had a dark room for better rest. Would recommend staying here. It is close to the main attractions and easy to get around!
