It is a traditional residential building, in the picturesque green sunny village of Pinakates, dating back approximately to the 18th century, whose renovation ended up in 2007. It offers four nice decorated, self-contained apartments, each one consisting of a living room, a bedroom, a kitchen and a bathroom and can accommodate up to 4 or 5 people.

My girlfriend and I recently spent a weekend in this marvelous traditional bed and breakfast, and having travelled thoroughly throughout Greece over many years, I must rank this as one of the best places I have visited. The house is a marvelously renovated traditional stone dwelling, and the care and craftsmanship show in every touch: from tasteful antique furnishings to the gorgeous wood floors and ceilings, the rooms conjure a very special atmosphere while still being very comfortable and convenient, with a clean, modern bathroom and good appliances. Surrounding the room are beautiful vistas of Pelion's mountains, running down to the sea below, and a gushing spring and nearby apple orchard. The house is also perfectly situated for visiting Pelion, by both foot and car. Walking paths run from Pinakates to the nearby must-see villages of Vizitsa and Milies, while it's an equally easy drive to both the magnificent sea-side beaches of Tsagarada and Milopotamos, and the bay-side towns of Chorto, Milina and beyond. And at the end of the day, I cannot image a more magical and peaceful place to retreat to than Efipoi, tucked in the mountainside and looking out onto the sea. I also have to mention the village of Pinakates, which I think must be the most charming I have seen—tremendously preserved, witch picturesque little waterways guiding streams of spring-water along meandering walking paths through the old stone town— and yet it's not oversold to tourism or visitation, making it a truly rare and beautiful experience!

Reviewed By Vasiliz MWe booked this place after searching for any sort of accommodation on mt. Pelion on early August. It seemed cozy and cheap enough to try it. It turned out to be even better than expected! Beautiful place, easy to find (its entrance is literally next to the road - with a small parking lot next to it), traditionally styled and with an amazing view! We got a room on its ground floor with a wide balcony overlooking the village, mountains and sea. It was beautifully decorated, clean and quiet. The view was magnificent, the nights hanging out at the balcony were the perfect ending to our full days. Extra bonus, a rich, homemade breakfast offered by the superbly friendly hostess. The only issue was poor Wi-Fi reception, but it is to be expected, since Greece does not have a strong network in most rural aeras. However, it was not an actual problem, as the beautiful atmosphere was enough to keep us off the internet for the duration of our stay there. Totally recommended!

Reviewed By DuplicariusThis is a lovely traditional guest house in a delightful spot right in the middle of a quiet village . You have to park a little distance away and walk down cobbled streets for a few metres but this just adds to the experience. We had a very warm welcome and our hostess even managed to rustle up a breakfast even though we hadn’t booked one The accommodation was plain but spotlessly clean and we really enjoyed our stay. We would most definitely stay again if we had the opportunity.

Riga's Pinakoti lodge is situated in Pinakates village in the central Greece’s mountain Pelion. Book your room or the whole biulding which accomodates 10 people in 5 double rooms. Join us for a yoga class or seminar which is arranged upon request or organise your own seminar at Pinakoti Lodge. Contact us if you wish us to arrange organised hikes for you! The building is a Pelion mansion, built in 1910 and belongs to Riga's family since 1979. During the period 2010-2013 the building was fully renovated and a new building has been built according to both the tradition and the architectural style of Pelion. It consists of two independent buildings that are linked together with an interior staircase. The first building hosts the reception area, a living room with a fireplace and the breakfast area, the kitchen and a hall for seminars. The second building hosts five double bedrooms with en-suite facilities, a living room with a fireplace alongside a kitchenette and a dining area. Paved court wards surround the buildings, all situated inside a three- acre estate. These characteristics alongside with the magnificent Pagasitikos gulf view from throughout the property, make Pinakoti an ideal holiday destination that will relax you and revitalize you.

'Ολοι οι χώροι άνετοι κ διακοσμημένοι με φροντίδα και υψηλή αισθητική, τα κρεβάτια πολύ αναπαυτικά, οι αυλές με εκπληκτική θέα και σε απόλυτη επαφή με τη φύση... Δέντρα όλων των ειδών, αγριολούλουδα, ήχοι πουλιών, μας θύμισαν πώς είναι να ζεις σε ησυχία, κοντά στη φύση, αλλά και στον -πιο ήσυχο- εαυτό σου : ) Η Δώρα Ρήγα, η ιδιοκτήτρια, σε συντονισμό με την ενέργεια του μαγικού αυτού τόπου, μας πρόσφερε απλόχερα τη γνώση της για διαδρομές σε μονοπάτια, κ ήταν πρόθυμη να μας εξυπηρετήσει, ο ορισμός της ευγένειας και φιλοξενίας. Θα επιστρέψουμε στην Πινακωτή Ρήγα, αυτό είναι βέβαιο, γιατί είναι κάτι πολύ παραπάνω από μια ικανοποιητική διαμονή, είναι μια εμπειρία ηρεμίας, χαλάρωσης κ απόλαυσης : )
