The best available hotels & places to stay near Montecatini Terme

The largest and most famous of Tuscany’s spa towns, Montecatini Terme has been revered for its curative waters since at least the 16th century, when the first baths were built here. Two centuries later, neighborhood royalty began to take note after the opening of the town’s first grand spas, putting Montecatini Terme firmly on the aristocracy's radar. Beyond the array of fine spas featuring treatments old and new, today’s visitors come for the shopping, dining and sporting offerings, as well.

Good but noisy

Reviewed By chazer59

We stayed here for a week as part of a group tour. Montecatini Terme is a good base for visiting Tuscany. The good: The hotel is very clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is OK but they tend to run out of things when they’re very busy. Our room was spacious and well appointed. The not so good: We found it very noisy. Our room was at the front of the building overlooking a restaurant next door. Even with windows closed and the a/c running we could hear every loud conversation (hey, it’s Italy) until late at night. Very early in the morning we were awakened by loud garbage collection, bottles being dumped into a bin etc. The wifi is not too bad in the lobby but useless in the rooms. We found the floor of our shower dangerously slippery.

Very accommodating staff!

The staff at this hotel were wonderful. They did their best to make this feel like a home away from home. We enjoyed our lovely breakfast and cocktails on the patio. They were very helpful when our flight was canceled and we needed to stay another two days. We were able to stay in our same rooms and they treated us nicely. The owner was on site and available. She took pride in saying "hello" and made sure everyone was taken care of. Thank You!

Great staff, great restaurant view and great food. Also, the food is a lot, is masterchef made and is cheap compared with other locations. The wine is cheap for such a great location. The rooms were cleaned every day. All was great.

VERY SATISFIED!

Everything was good. Clean rooms, very good location near the central square of the town, very good service. One star less because of some minor details (the doors of the shower didn't close properly, breakfast didn't satisfy me because there wasn't big variety).

Grand Hotel Tamerici & Principe

From a big Art Nouveau villa the architect has obtained a modern building and the previous motives embellish the large and bright halls which are enriched with carpets of great value, draperies, Murano crystalware, ancient bronzes and nineteenth century Italian-style paintings. Relaxing and peaceful areas of semi-darkness interchange with the halls brightness and the brillant vivacity of colours. The hotel is happily located, in a quiet area in the middle of the green Spa parks, 2 Top Suites, 25 apartments and 130 bedrooms. 10 Meters from the Montecatini Congress and Exhibition Center.

Great location

Lovely hotel, even though rooms are a bit dated although they are very large. The bathrooms look as if they have been updated recently & are good but rooms look very tired, could do with a brighter fresher look, the walls were very dull colour & needed painting. I had a lovely balcony even if view wasn’t fantastic, there did seem to be a big difference in room sizes. the staff were excellent nothing was ever a problem they all worked very hard. The swimming pool was an added bonus & very pleasant. Good central location

Fantastic hotel with fantastic staff! quite a quirky one but very comfortable. Excellent position and clean as a whistle. Our room was cleaned daily to a very high standard. The breakfast was varied an comprehensive and the evening meal was very good too. The staff couldn't do enough for you and especial thanks to Sasha, Rosa, Marco, Erica, Patricia and others whose name I didn't get. If we go back to Montecatini again we would definitely hope to stay there again.

LHP Hotel Montecatini Palace & Spa

Have you ever wondered how one might style for wellness? We imagine sensuality, luminosity too. Modern and sophisticated, like the Montecatini Palace Hotel - Montecatini Terme's first 5-star designer hotel. Unprecedented. The very essence of design and wellbeing. The Hotel Montecatini Palace offers luxury beyond definition. Here we don't settle for extreme elegance. Here we play with bold contrasts. With pure white and definitive black. With soft leather sofas juxtaposed with chrome trimmed furniture. Another level of luxury.

5 Star quality all the way !

I’m surprised at some of the negative reviews as I thought this hotel was awesome. It’s very modern, the rooms are immaculate and the breakfast was fantastic, the biggest spread I’ve seen in an Italian hotel but then again it is a 5star. The rooftop pool was a wonderful bonus as was the spa area , the spa really had everything you could want (although staff should show you where all the facilities are as they are spread out here and there and you wouldn’t immediately find the hydro massage pool ) and I had a really great and professional massage by Valentina , who was lovely and spoke English. The front of house staff were very helpful, Raneiro and Marianna (hope that’s her name) we’re welcoming and assisted in any way they could.
