The `Goldene Rose´ (Golden Rose) is a family-run hotel with a lot of tradition but new ideas in the heart of the village of Welsberg in the Pustervalley in the Dolomites. The restaurant offers traditional, refined Tyrolean four course specialities in the evening along with an assorted salad and vegetable buffet. Most of the hotel rooms are furnished in the Alpine style and provide comfort and cosiness. Free access to the spa ensures tranquillity and wellbeing.

Reviewed By Denis DWe stayed for 3 nights. The hotel is nice, located in center town. We had half board and it was ok, nothing special but just the way it should be. The rooms are clean and our bathroom was huge. The only problem is you get a 20e coupon for massage, but you can spend it just from 9.00 to 12.30. But in winter we all ski and it will be Better to have massage from 15.00 to 19.00. But all in all great hotel with freundly staff.

Too overpriced and rude service
Reviewed By globetrotter11131This place is set in the most stunning setting and really is a beautiful house but unfortunately that’s where our positive experience stopped. We stayed in a superior suite and Although costing us 300 euro for one night there are no coffee or tea facilities in the rooms. When we asked to get some coffee and tea as we had to get up early we got told that breakfast is only 8.30am. So we had to go and work (we are photographers) without coffee as there is nothing else open in the middle of the mountains. When we got back in the morning we were looking forward to warming our cold bodies in the Sauna that they advertise online, just to be told by the owner that the sauna is only open from 5pm - 8pm. When we pointed out that this is a little misleading as the website doesn’t mention this restriction she continued with a very unfriendly manor explaining only a crazy person would try and go into the sauna in the morning. We didn’t discuss it further and somewhat disappointed went to our room to have at least a hot shower. The shower wasn’t working at all when other people had a shower at the same time and when pointing that out they finally went and switched the line open so we could have a shower. Check out is at 10 but the cleaner was waiting in front of our door at 9.30am as she wanted to clean the room. I travel a lot for work and never had to leave a bad review but due to the reactions and rudeness of the staff I just felt the need to say something as I would not have booked this expensive hotel had i known that there is no coffee and tea facility in the room, Sauna access only 3 hours of the day and no hot shower in the rooms unless asked for.

Always great coming back
Reviewed By Christophe MWe have been coming here for years now to go skiing in Kronplatz, 3 Zinnen and Sella Ronda. All easily reachable with the train that stops at a 5 min walk from the hotel. Since this year the speed of the wifi internet is like at home, superfast and very reliable. Rooms, food, price and friendliness are always great !!! We’ll be back next year again!

Reviewed By 61matejvGood place, for a overnight stay. Nice ambinet, good rooms. Breakfast was typical, but still delicious. Bed was comfy with nice blankets. Would recomend to anyone that need a place to spend a night or two.

Reviewed By paoloaZ7586WBSiamo ritornati in questo angolo meraviglioso incastonato tra i boschi a poca distanza da Monguelfo almeno in 6 o 7 occasioni. Sempre ottima accoglienza, camere super spaziose e pulitissime, colazione e cena ottimamente servite con prodotti di qualità sapientemente preparati dal titolare. Ambiente dove si pranza che ha la vista diretta sui boschi ed arredato con gusto e semplicità dove ci si sente coccolati. Se proprio si vuol trovare la nota negativa o meglio stonata questa è il prezzo eccessivo di un litro di minerale (5€).
