Casa Tierra Viva is located 2 minutes from El Rinconcito beach, has bungalows for 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 people, with kitchenette, and also rooms for two with terrace, refrigerator, water gallon and coffee maker . Each bungalow has ceiling fans, refrigerator, stove, coffee maker, blender, microwave, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils, mosquito nets on doors and windows, bathroom with shower and hot water. As a plus they are given sugar, salt, oil and coffee during the stay of the guests. Free parking and WIFI are also available. It is in a strategic location, surrounded by restaurants, grocery stores, bakery and bars. Punta Cometa and the beaches of San Agustinillo and Zipolite are 15 minutes away. Also the Mexican Turtle Center and eco-tourist rides that are offered in the zone
Great stay in Mazunte
Reviewed By OilerFansGreat Accommodation We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Tierra Viva. Patti and her husband were great hosts who were very welcoming and intent on making our stay comfortable. The room was very clean and comfortable with 2 great beds and pillows. The air conditioning was a great asset. We were pleased to have access to a full sized firdge and a fully equipped kitchen and fresh coffee each morning. This little gem is only 100 metres from the beach and a short walk to restaurants, and stores for groceries etc and very close to a great bakery! We would definitely stay there again. Mazunte is a great place to chill and have a relaxing beach holiday with a great variety of restaurants and good food! We would choose one of the 5 or 6 different beach restaurants each day, and order drinks and breakfast or lunch right on the beach. No need to rents chairs or umbrellas. Now that is what I call a holiday. The boat tour to see whales and dolphins and turtles was definitely worthwhile but be sure to apply lots of sunscreen.

WORST hotel experience of my life
Reviewed By RakshiSix cabanas on a hill overlooking the ocean. No onsite management, just a surly caretaker. We had booked 2 nights on Expedia. We liked Mazunte and wanted to stay one more night. Our cabana was available online but we could not book it because of a 2-night minimum. So we asked the caretaker. He checked, and told us okay. We returned from the beach after sunset in wet swimsuits, looking forward to a shower, to relax, and then go to dinner. Instead, we found that the caretaker had crammed all our things into our suitcases and removed them from the room, and he was barring the door! He said it was rented to someone else. I suspect he failed to note it as occupied, and someone else booked it online. We had a very difficult time finding another room because the town was completely full. My companion searched online while I tramped the neighborhood. I finally found something by sheer persistence - I returned to a place that had already turned me down and they dug up a little room they don’t usually rent. And you can bet the surly caretaker did not help carry our suitcases down the 135 steps to the street. AVOID this hotel!

"Una Posada Mas" is located 78 meters from the beach. The house is covered by tropical plants, providing a cool breeze to its relaxing spaces. There are 7 private rooms total all with en-suite full bathrooms. La Posada is meant to provide a home away from home for the traveller. It has a big garden, a barbeque and a wood fire oven were sometimes we prepare special dinners, wi-fi conection, hamacas and several sitting areas where to enjoy the friendly atmosphere. Una Posada Mas has an excellent central location in "Calle del Rinconcito", the main entrance to the beach. It is close to all restaurants, shops, bakery and other commercial services in Mazunte. Wi-Fi in all the rooms The Posada is very easy to find. Arriving to Mazunte, you take "Rinconcito" street, main entrance to the beach, 200 meters ahead on the left side, next to the bakery "La Baguet" you'll find "Una Posada mas"

Reviewed By 921indiesWow what a nice experience we had in Una posada Mas. It's pretty, green, clean and comfy ! Martin and Irene the owners are very welcoming and answered all our questions. It's like literally 3 minutes walk to the Beach and all the best restaurants of Mazunte. I 100% recommend this place to anyone going there !

Reviewed By scotlivinginlisbonGreat place! This is such good value for money if you share for two people, as Mazunte is pricier than you think. The views are just incredible, well worth being so far uphill. The pool is always clean and the staff are just so friendly and will help you with anything. Speaking Spanish will help as they do not speak much English. Fully recommend to stay here. Also close to Punta Cometa where you can see the most amazing sunset.

Hello we have an excellent place for a holiday of rest in contact with nature surrounded by tropical plants, we have access to paya Rinconcito from bungalos.Podemos accommodate groups of up to 45 people comfortably and the prices are more than bolciLlos accessible to all, you can bring your pet without any problems and our bar service will leave you more than happy and satisfied ..! come and see our facilities and service which make you come back as you get a chance.

Reviewed By arzklhyes it's a bit run-down or may be it's just laid-back depend how you feel but the view is stupendous, the staff is very kind and helpfull, it's a good value compare with what you can get next to it and you can pay with credit card without extra charge as they do around there it's very quiet; specially near the beach. wifi only near the lobby, swimming pool and restaurant not in the rooms.

Se puede poner un futon que permite recibir 2 personas extras, con previo aviso y costo extra. Queremos que vuestra estancia con nosotros sea el mas placentera posible.
A 5 star vacation on a 2 star budget
Reviewed By 450lorrainehWe had a wonderful stay at the Villa Luna de Miel. Don't get me wrong, this is not a fancy hotel but we had a great experience. The staff was very helpful and aimed to please. We got clean towels and house cleaning daily and clean linens every 3 days. I suggest bringing a face cloth and small hand towel as they only provide bath towels. There is a 20L bottle of drinking water in the room for $20 pesos and a mini fridge to cool down your drinks. There is a portable fan and no air conditioning or screens. The mosquitoes and bugs are active at dawn and dusk so don't forget to apply insect repellent. Also ear plugs are necessary to drown out the roosters, dogs and party music and drums. A headlamp or flashlight is also necessary after dark. The beach is just a short walk down the street and the town is lovely and loaded with about 50 restaurants and bars and juice stops and cafes all within 5 minutes. The beach is fabulous, and you only need to buy a few beverages to get use of the beach umbrellas and chairs provided by the many restaurants on the beach. If you prefer, you can purchase an umbrella and blanket and there is tons of room on the beach. Mazunte is a lovely town to spend your vacation. There is a lovely walk to the ridge to enjoy the sunset . The view from the room is fabulous and worth the flight of 80 stairs to get there.

We had plenty of privacy and enjoyed several breakfasts taking in the majestic view from our balcony. Salomon is a superb host. I would highly recommend a visit to anyone!

The host family is warm and helpful. Location is perfect. If you choose to order breakfast, it's delicious. Can't wait to return. HIGHLY recommend!
