Reviewed By 490alanfThe Albatros Beach Hotel is a smart, clean and modern place to stay, where the staff are always keen to help with a smile. It stands out a bit from the rest of Letojanni, which is a traditional coastal town, where the majority of the shops and restaurants are a bit uninspiring. This contrasts sharply with Taormina, on the hillside above Letojanni, which is filled with stylish shops, bars and eateries. The hotel runs a shuttle bus to and from there, though the day and evening. We found one member of staff particularly helpful, Bernadetta on the front desk. She re-organised car hire and an excursion at very short notice when we were away from the hotel, a real credit to them. The hotel provided a perfect balance between beach holiday and a base to enjoy Sicily.

Phone Hacked and Theft/Fruad on Bank account whilst logged into Hotel Wifi

I have owned a mobile phone for 25 years, never been hacked.During the 4 night stay the only Wifi we ever logged into was the Hotel Wifi. At 0300 hours on the morning of departure my phone was hacked and over £2 grand taken from my bank account via Pay Pal. Access had been gained in my opinion from the Hotel Wifi.( no other Wifi was on not even 4G) . Never been hacked before Im I,T Literate and an Ex Cop so I know of these things. Whats worse has been the post holiday communication with the hotel. They simply do not accept any responsibility or any negligence on their part..there remarks were....the problem is not due to our Wifi but is to be found elsewhere. You judge for yourselves based on the above. It took me 12 emails sent to all manner of addresses to get that response ! Belting view from the Hotel & Cracking Weather, just a sad end and poor customer service expirence. KInd Regards

Reviewed By GemmarooniesWe stayed here for 2 nights and it was excellent. Our room was very spacious with the most fantastic view from the balcony. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, particularly in the restaurant. We were sceptical at first about being so high up but Letojanni and the beach is so easily accessible with the cable car and lifts. Parking was 5 euros a day. Breakfast was good with a good selection. We had dinner in the hotel one night. It was ok but I wouldn’t want to eat there every night. We stayed in October so it was a bit quieter. We didn’t use a lot of the facilities but everything looked very good. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to stay again in summer.

Very nice hotel with great atmosphere
Reviewed By joannaj2809i recommend this place. it is a sweet lovely hotel, our room was small but clean, quiet with view to the sea. beach right next to the hotel with free sun beds. the weak point was the breakfasts, really little choice and nothing hot to eat. But in front of the hotel is a cafeteria with delicious coffee. Hotel offers very tasty dinners with the possibility of exchanging for other types of food. Restaurant is by the see. if we come back in Sicily, we will choose this hotel again because of the atmosphere and the beach.

Reviewed By F6568MAericmWe spent a night in a ItalyHotel high on the hill in Letojanni and it was a little nightmare in COVID-19 time. Much too crowded and the next morning we went to the promenade along the beach looking for a better place to stay and we met the owner of the B&B who offered us to have a look in his B&B. We immediately loved room 101 with balcony nice bed, ok bathroom with high water pressure shower and airco. Also small minibar to fill for yourself. No breakfast but you can have espresso or cappuccino with cornetto everywhere for a few euro. We enjoyed our two nights and we able to park our car almost in front of the door.

Reviewed By digbo1234567890When i arrived at the hotel San pietro, i did not expect the horrors that awaited me. The food was raw and made me ill, i found hair and other substances in my shower and to top it all of we had loud Russian neighbours fornicating in the early hours

Reviewed By Chloe123456889This place has the best views you could ever imagine. Lovely waiters and waitresses especially Pepe made us laugh every time he saw us. Rooms are very nice and have a mini fridge. The mini fridge is money to have drinks from. Definitely worth the money.

Service? What service?
Reviewed By Nina S"20m to the closest market, 40m to the sea, big apartments, 45-50 m2 with separate bedroom, kitchen and living room". Oh yes, I expected much of our stay. Reception open only in the morning, cleaning once a week - yes, that's ok. But it wasn't. We arrived very late in the evening. A totally unhelpful and irritated looking young guy showed us our room but did not help with the luggage. When I asked about the air conditioning he answered that there is none, but I found the remote control myself and got it to work. There were seldom anyone at the reception, not in the morning nor any other time. An older nice lady (don't know if she was cleaning staff or what) told us in good English that the reception lady is having coffee and will be back in an hour or so.. Cleaning once a week - well... that's a big joke! After the 4th day I asked about the cleaning and got the answer that the room was clean when you arrived right? Yes, of course, no one comes to a dirty hotel room, right? But cleaning once a week means in this hotel that if you stay for "only" one week, no one will ever clean anything or bring you new towels or linen. They clean after you have left, there you go, once a week! I have always thought that once a week means during your stay. Of course the room must be clean when you arrive, that is common sense. But not at this hotel. Well, now I was happy I met the reception staff only twice, since we were the only ones that did not pay the horrible 100 euro deposit - because no one told us to. But that was not only a good thing, because when we wanted to check out, the cleaning lady (not the nice old lady but another) told us to come with her back to the apartment and forced us to take the garbage out. We had left the last garbage - not much, because we had no more plastic bags to use and I thought well, they can make the final cleaning when they haven't done anything during the whole week. It was quite embarrassing to carry out the garbage bin in front of all people (tourists) at the reception. Fortunately we had kept the apartment otherwise tidy, so the garbage was the only problem for them - we had taken garbage out many times earlier that week. I have stayed at lots of apartments in many different countries, but never ever have I experienced this kind of "cleaning". I have always been provided with linen and towels at least once a week and the cleaning lady has visited 1-3 times/week providing toilet paper and taking the garbage out, sometimes even washed the dishes even if that is not agreed! So do I recommend this apartment hotel? If you don't mind the total lack of cleaning and the totally unfriendly staff (except the old lady, let's call her grandma), sure, why not. The apartment was big, the terrace was big with a washing machine (you can wash your towels and linen yourself, ehe), the air conditioning worked just fine. But don't expect anything of the staff. It is a pity really, that the staff ruins everything, because with friendly staff and a little cleaning I really could recommend this hotel.
