Reviewed By johannam330Rooms are ok. Even some has seaview. Beds are really hard as they tend to be all in Italy. But the noise is disturbing. From outside you will hear constantly trains passing by and inside you can hear when the doors are closing, when people are speaking. There is no soundproof at all.

All essentials (WiFi, air conditioning, fenced car parking, lift, very clean ) no frills. Good for families and couples looking for relax). Here a view from a room on the backyard.

Reviewed By lamusiThe hotel is frozen to how it must have looked in the 70s, especially in terms of rooms. Dated furniture, minuscule bathroom, no A/C and so on. Said this, the place is clean and the mangers friendly. Acceptable breakfast on a pleasant terrace, sadly without sea view. It might appeal a young, low budget clientele.

Modest, but ok
Reviewed By VesnaTodMy family and I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights (half-board). The location is good for those who want to visit other cities nearby (Sestri Levante, Chiavari, Rapallo etc) or who want to spend the day on the beach. However, it was pretty noisy during the night since there is a railway in front of the hotel and trains pass by very often. The staff were very kind and helpful. We had booked this stay for the beginning of september, However, we had a problem, so we had to ask the hotel management to change the dates. They did it without any problems so we were able to enjoy our stay in Liguria. Breakfast was ok but not abundant. Dinner was very delicious and one could choose between 2 starters and 2 main dishes. Both times I chose fish, and it was very good and fresh. We didn't have problems finding a parking space. Every time we came to the hotel, there were at least 2-3 spaces available. The room was clean enough. It had everything we needed for our short stay. Beds were comfortable and they guaranteed a good night's sleep. The view was really beautiful. I could hear the sound of waves when there were no cars/trains passing. All in all, good value for money.

Charming palazzo in need of an upgrade
Reviewed By TheNorgeOn the lower end of 3 stars by international standard. Staff were very nice and friendly but you could tell that the hotel was run on a bit of a shoe string. The building is very nice and charming but because of being a historic palazzo the sound insulation was not the greatest.

Reviewed By 430sheilarIt was so easy to find the hotel after getting off the train, a few minutes away. The hotel is dated but kept clean. The best part was to have a balcony to watch the sunset and the trains come and go.I would eat some meals that I purchased in the markets on the balcony.The dining room in the hotel was closed in September. On one side of the hotel is the beach and promenade and the other side is the old town, so there are many places to explore..

Reviewed By kellygoudGreat experience! Very clean hotel, perfect air conditioning. Breakfast very good (does not change at all from day to day so slightly repetitive). Fresh and sparkling water available every day. If you want to visit the cinque terre and portofino/genoa, the train station is 5 min walk from the hotel, so very convenient. The only small problem was that there were a lot of dogs in the hotel who barked but the hotel offered us the parking (70€) for the inconvenience caused by the dog in the room next door. Thank you !

While the drive up the hills isn’t easy, it’s well worth it. A little piece of paradise. Make sure to eat breakfast because it’s so good. They grow their own vegetables and fruits, so everything is very fresh. I left my sunglasses and Michael called me and said he will send them to me at my next stop. This is testament to the great service. Thank you Olivenere! We will be back and recommend to everyone!
