Beautiful Art Deco atmosphere

Reviewed By andreg892

A beautiful British Art Deco hotel and restaurant. Lovely food served hot and of high quality. We sat out in the glass area overlooking the sea . It was very bright and hot but better once the sun went down . The service was pleasant and up to price standards. The atmosphere was complete with the 1950’s music playing in the background. Toilets were clean but cheap looking compared to the rest of the dining area . Well worth a visit

Don’t do a phone booking you don’t get what your promised over the phone!!!!

Stayed here for a wedding. I rang up as soon as the rooms was released to book for the wedding day and asked for a suite. I was told on the phone I would have a suite in the new section of the building I had a look at the pictures and thought this would be perfect for me as I was bringing my little boy with us also and the rooms section off through a door. Upon arriving and checking in we was given a room which was the size of a normal room not a suite! We had paid extra money and was told we would be in the new suites to then be put into this normal sized room where it does not section off!!! This ruined our night as we had to go bed at the same time as our little boy due to it disturbing him if we stayed up in the room. If we would have got the room we booked this would not have been an issue!! I spoke to the lady at reception at the time and she really did not care and just said ‘don’t know what you want me to do there’s no where I can move you too now’. Just be careful when booking that you get what you are promised!!!

This hotel was the perfect place to stay as I attended an event in Lancaster. It was half the price of other hotels in the area, and free partking was a bonus You know what you get at a Premier In.. it was clean and comfortable. There was some noise from the busy road outside but thats because I opened the window... ! The staff were so friendly, and went out of their way to be helpful . It made all the difference to my stay.

We had a three day break with elderly parents. The hotel rooms along with the food were to a very high standard (thanks to the chef for being so obliging). All staff were great but a massive thank you to Dominic and Claudia who were just excellent, nothing was too much trouble and they were always looking to go the extra mile. I would strongly recommend a visit to this lovely hotel and we will definitely be back.

Disappointed

Arranged to meet family who had travelled up from London for a meal at the Station hotel , I recommended we eat here due to having great food on previous occasions. After a wait of an hour we were getting slightly impatient due to no food arriving it was considerably busy. A table in front of us with 4 people received there food which was dishes consisting of 2 sea bass and a lasagne but no fourth meal , we realised obviously the young lad serving had got the tables mixed up . Not a problem really , anyone can make a mistake, however I noticed one dish was taken back to the serving hatch and left under the heat lamps for awhile . When our meals arrived my sister and brother in law weren’t actually impressed with their dishes mainly the vegetables accompanying the sea bass . The lasagne arrived rather burnt with warm salad and coleslaw and bread dried and burnt . I complained and a fresh dish was brought to me . The worst really is knowing original dish was brought to me having been put in front of another customer who had breathed on it

So we knew the food was really good and nutritious, but wanted to experience eating in the restaurant and it was so welcoming with lovely friendly staff serving us really well. If your in Morecambe do book in the restaurant even if not staying in the Hotel.
