Great Hotel
Reviewed By CDubChinaThe Sheraton Jinzhou is probably the best hotel in Jinzhou. It is certainly the tallest hotel here. I was so surprised that several of the staff spoke English, being that Jinzhou is a small town. Janice Zhang was a very nice employee and she was so friendly to me each morning during breakfast. The rooms are nicely appointed. The review from the guy several years ago (from Yoakum) is somewhat true. The hotel isn’t in tip top shape. However, I feel that hotels in the USA have similar issues (not perfectly clean, mold, etc). I had two issues during my stay. One was that the room was way too hot. The first night, the room was 80 degrees and I couldn’t sleep at all. When I returned the next day, the room was 85 degrees. No joke. The hotel personnel swore that the heat was from the sun, but I am almost certain that the heat system was malfunctioning. The heat system is difficult to turn off (you have to hold down the power button for five to ten seconds). Had I known this little trick, I could have cut off the heat myself the first night. The second room they gave me was better and not as hot. However, the shower in that room leaked in two places and after my shower, the bathroom was flooded with water. Overall, the Sheraton Jinzhou is a great hotel.

7 Days Inn - Should be called 7 Day Sewer!
Reviewed By wildernessmdIf you look closely, all the reviews are by Chinese People, they have a slightly different idea of what is acceptable! The City of Jinzhou is probably one of the filthiest cities in the world, I have travelled all over and never seen such filth! Garbage is burned on the streets, the people are rude, people smoke EVERYWHERE and this hotel (if you dare call it that) was no better! The room had the foul odour of faeces and cigarette smoke, the sheets were dirty and there were bed bugs that you could easily see when you uncovered the bed. It was incredibly cold inside the room and I picked up my bags and walked out. Since they spoke no English (or pretended to speak no English) when I rented the room, I just gave them back the key and walked out. I took the last express train to Beijing and got into Beijing at 23:20, then had to wait until 11:00 the next morning for my flight to Moscow and then London! Don't stay here, you are better off sleeping at the Airport! If possible - avoid this city like the plague!

Reviewed By David BClean, good priced and Chinese or Western style breakfasts available for £1.80. No free wifi but paid CMCC available. Stayed with my wife's family when visiting the JinZhou World Garden Exposition. Like a high class Premier Inn in the UK.

Not a 4 stars by European Standards
Reviewed By Borto_loThis hotel is generally ok but it is by no means a 4 stars by European Standards. Some rooms have bathrooms with massive mould on the ceiling. The breakfast is basically only for Chinese. Instead of coffee they serve Nescafé Cappuccino. There is a very poor selection of jams, the bread is of low quality and there are no cakes or croissant. The restaurant/bar of the hotel is very poor. First, despite advertising it in the lift and showing it in their menu, they had no pizza at all. Secondly, one evening at 8pm I asked for a beer which was clearly not available at the bar. After waiting for a few minutes (maybe the bar tender had gone to buy a beer from a nearby shop) I left and went to buy one outside myself. Nobody among staff can speak or understand English. My suggestion for Europeans is to go to a 5-star hotel such as the Sheraton for higher standards. On a positive note, staff are very kind and try their best to make you feel happy and welcome.

Very unfriendly towards Westerners- Avoid at all costs
Reviewed By pbbmw12If you must stay overnight in the city Jinzhou, definitely do not choose this hotel. The staff is extremely unprofessional and it is obvious the rules of courtesy do not apply to you if you do not speak Chinese. The staff has a very limited capacity of English, and if you try speaking it to them they are reduced to fits of laughter (a common occurrence with the people of Jinzhou). They are very rude and sigh and huff if you ask them to perform the simplest task, such as asking reception to print a receipt. They stared and were whispering amongst themselves and made my wife and I feel extremely uncomfortable. We asked for a manager to complain about the state of our room (description follows) upon checkout and we were met with sour looks and rude laughter. It would be best to simply list the problems with the room: sour, moldy smell, walls splotched with mold, room carpet completely stained, bathroom unclean and unsanitized, no shower door (water from the shower collected on the floor and drained through a hole in the middle of the bathroom), and the hotel advertises free wireless internet in every room, which simply doesn't exist. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

First rate hotel
Reviewed By leisuretravel76We stayed at the Comfort Hotel for three nights and thouroughly enjoyed both the town and the hotel. We especially commend the excellent service and warm personal touch that Simon Chen, manager, and Jacky Au, chef, bring to the hotel. Both were helpful, knowledgable, English speaking, and available throughout the day and evening. They assisted us to find our way to the city's cultural sites and things to do, and to educated us on the wide range of dishes, local and Cantonese, Chef Au's kitchen turns out from breakfast to dinner. Their staffs are well-trained and reflect the same high degree of care for the hotel's guests' needs as Mr. Chen and Mr. Au. From the hotel it was a short walk to the museum, pagaoda, and night market and other sites.

酒店干净，热水很充足
Reviewed By tomyu和老同学见面之后就在酒店入住了。感觉酒店很好，因为是新开的。能感觉到。酒店周围交通很方便，购物，娱乐业都有。距离火车站走10分钟就到了。速8管理还是不错的。入住的时候发现床头灯不亮，很快酒店前台来更换台灯。还送了2个牙刷包。酒店早餐感觉不是很喜欢。
