Reviewed By breedth7The hotel is situated in an amazing area - one drives through little villages on small roads, getting the feel for the country side, when suddenly arrise this gem. Beautiful architecture combined with nature makes this hotel unique from others. The view from the pool is breathtaking - the white tempel in the distance took my breath away the first time I saw it. It is definitely worth visiting, but be aware: 990 steps is a lot! LOL Pace yourself as it is hot and humid. Every step worth it when you get to the top.

If you are looking for a small paradise in a village near Chiang Mai you came to the right place. Our boutique resort consists of only 7 teakwood bungalows built on stilts in traditional Thai style. Relax on the huge private balcony with a view of our swimming pool (not chlorine but the newest system without any eye irritation) and our lush garden.
Great Tropical laid back home stay
Reviewed By merijn dHans and his wife will take care of you, no worries. When Hans gives advise or book( half) day trips, for sure you will have a fantastic time. The food is great and the atmosphere in the village is very laid back. We were here in august , 3 adults and 3 kids and had 2 bungalows. The kids had a fantastic time and never a boring moment. For the dutch and Belgian travellers, Hans is Dutch so no miscommunication:) His wife is a fantastic cook. Hans communicates fast and clear by email and he does exactly what he promisses!

Reviewed By CO589KXKWill never again make the mistake of pre-paying for 3 nights when booking a Thai resort or hotel. This place is far from anywhere, the pool villas are in terrible condition. After checking in we had to call reception to send someone to sweep up dead bugs in the bedroom and remove the leaves from the pool. Be careful of the pool villas here, the pool is a joke, about 2 feet deep and the water is so freezing cold you cannot use it, maybe 'paddling pool villas' is a more appropriate name. The plugs do not even suit Thai appliances, had to ask for an adapter. The place is beyond rustic, its obviously old, not kept up well at all. Only suitable for very low budget travellers and people that appreciate an extremely laid back attitude. We had lunch when we arrived and the food was ok, i' ve had much better cheaper Thai food. Will never understand why people choose to manage and maintain resorts like this? The surroundings (although not the fault of the hotel) is very dry and not much green as summer is here. Na! Sorry, this is not going to be the kind of stay i was hoping for! Can't wait until dark, to discover what light bulbs don't work! Oh, did i mention the bed is hard as rock.

Amazing Chiang Mai
Reviewed By Stay501946This hotel was great for a week of relaxing in the outdoors but still close enough to the city. Staff were very friendly and so helpful. Shuttle busses and drivers went out of their way to accommodate our requests. Self catering two bedroom apartment was great but could do with more cooking facilities. Plenty of crockery etc with tea, coffee and water supplied every day. Restaurant at Belle Villa was disappointing but pool area good for much needed swims. Within walking distance of small villages and other good eating options. Elephants 500m up the road are well worth visiting at 9h30 each morning.

Feel like home, place so quiet and room very clean, the room facing to the mountains view. The Local market near by to the hotel walked for 10 minutes. Relaxed, countryside hospitality in a well-appointed cottage inn with modern comforts
Reviewed By Shawn CI was looking to be situated near the natural and adventure sites of Chiang Mai, and came across Foresta Villa. It is a simple cottage with 4 rooms surrounding a garden square, and my well-appointed room had a king-sized bed with ample space around it to move around and place my things, accompanied by a good wifi connection and a clean, proper bathroom. Beyond the charm of the accommodation, Villa's outstanding proposition is the owner, Ak. He was an exemplar of Thai hospitality, acceding to my request for special transport for my luggage (which included a large bicycle bag), and while I was there, he made sure I felt at home, was comfortable and had the knowledge and access to the necessary amenities I needed to get around. I was very impressed with his willingness to help as much as he could, to make my stay as wonderful as it was. The surrounding area is rustic, with wonderful food and coffee options within a short bicycle ride, and it was thanks to Ak and his staff that I was able to go to and enjoy these places.

Это двухэтажный домик, на первом этаже большой зал со столом и стульями, шкафом и диваном. Есть кухня с холодильником и чайником, стаканы были, а вот чашек нет, думаю можно было попросить на ресепшн, он в трёх шагах от домика. Туалет и душ тоже на первом этаже, с бесплатными шапочками для душа, шампунем и гелем для душа. Винтовая деревянная лестница ведет на второй этаж, там есть шкаф, две кровати квин сайз и одна односпальная, а так же письменный стол и балкон. Везде чисто, без нареканий. Матрасы и подушки удобные. В домике приглушённый свет, что создает еще большее ощущение сказки. Снаружи домик выглядит как глиняный, вообще территория очень красивая и красочная, как будто ты в мультике, фотки получаются фантастические. Бассейн чистый, но для нас холодный, другие гости купались, нас на долго не хватило. На завтрак подавали заварной кофе, детям горячий шоколад, тосты, масло, джем и по тарелке американского завтрака, угощали тайским чаем, все было очень вкусно ! Персонал очень приветлив и учтив. Могу сказать с уверенностью, если вернемся в Чиангмай, одну ноль точно остановимся здесь ! Существенных минусов нет. Скользкие полы, в носках на лестнице подскользнулась и поранила руку о стену, будьте осторожны, ходите босиком или в тапочках. Наш домик был у дороги, очень шумно, слышно каждую проезжающую машину. Но для нас это не было проблемой, мы и так планировали ранний подъем.

Fantastic Experience so close to Chiang Mai city

The balcony of our room overlooked the tea plants, plus a view into the mountains. The infinity pool also provides a dramatic view into the surrounding hills, while having one of the signature drinks as you relax. The spa was sooo relaxing. With a private "cottage" approach, there was privacy while still enjoying the open sky. I really enjoyed the steam shower, something new to me, while the sunken tub was luxurious in which to just be unperturbed. I understand the lotions used are derived from the staff, and I have to say the scents and feel were quite delightful. I had some tightness in my shoulders and lower back, and my masseuse was quite adept at rubbing those spots until I was relaxed. If you are looking for a unique place to enjoy yourselves, then I highly recommend the Veranda. This is not a location for evening dancing, rather a spot to fully relax and feel pampered. With beautiful cuisine preparations, soothing spa massage, and an enjoyable evening swim in the pool, you will restore your inner energies! It is even a photographic place, with many locations to take great photos! I'm already missing their specialty drinks!

Reviewed By Christian BThis hotel offers walk-in use of the swimming pool. It is salt water and very nice. Long enough for swimming laps and they also have a toddler pool. Very nice surroundings, friendly owners and towels are provided! Recommended!

Reviewed By CharbboonThis is a condominium converted to hotel so the room has small kitchenette and dining table which I love. We stayed in 1 bedroom suite which is spacious and clean. Too bad that the bed is not king size. The location is quite far from everything but in exchange you get good deal for large comfortable room and they have restaurant, spa and large fitness center and pool so you have everything you need. Breakfast is so so Chinese tour style but good enough to start the day.
