Reviewed By managerdpoa1I was visited the property during 2018 with my family consisting four members. The property was in a very good location. No restaurant is here. But we will get tasty food at the near by building. This is situated near to needle rock view point.

Reviewed By rash_1485Good tidy place, with a beautiful view of the tea gardens and a small water park within. Staff is courteous and friendly. Good veg food. Non-veg was not well cooked. Overall a good weekend getaway. Kids will enjoy here as they have pool and kids play area.

Capturing the best of the natural elements in its accommodation, the property has an estate bungalow where with the setting of a complete home, is the suite, which comes with a living room, a kitchenette, two bedrooms and a sit-out area. Ideal and large enough to accommodate a family, is the Super Deluxe room with a sitting area to enjoy the vast greens around. In the annexure of the main bungalow, you have the Deluxe room, which is spacious and overlook the forests. For the typical jungle camp feel is the tent, which has a common sit-out and a dining area. Whichever room you choose to stay in you can be assured of creature comfort and modern amenities. You would feel the warmth of the ambience which helps you nestle in with ease. And refreshing you with rigour would be the cooing calls of the birds that shelter in this region. You will buckle up in no time, tuck into a hearty breakfast provided at the resort and head out to try out the host of activities in store for you. As much as walking through the lush plantations is an enlightening affair, trekking through the forests and wilderness would be as much a tingle of excitement, where the shutterbug in you would be thrilled for the picturesque surroundings that you get to witness. With the avifauna that abounds in this region, you can go for bird-watching to capture amazing snapshots of the rare and the exotic. If you want to bait a prize catch while fishing then you have the channel to do that as well. Far and beyond, you can go sightseeing the other tourist attractions in Mudumalai such as Pykara Waterfalls, Pykara boathouse, Needle rock viewpoint, Mudumalai tiger Reserve and Bandipur Tiger Reserve.

Reviewed By smadimanTo put it simple words, it’s a homestay in the middle of nature right near the fringes of the Mudumalai tiger reserve. The rooms aren’t permanent structures but are decently appointed. But can tend to get very hot due to lack of air conditioners, in hot and humid weather conditions. The food needs to be informed prior and is prepared by the caretakers themselves. Decent place to go and unwind from city life and spend quite and peaceful time with family and friends. Just don’t expect too much like a resort.

Hotel with FANTASTIC Potential BUT Very Poorly Managed.
Reviewed By Matthew JAs a Passionate Hotelier and Intrepid Traveler, I have come to the conclusion that the often PATHETIC Hospitality Service Quality in India is NOT due to the Skills Shortage OR The Skills Gap BUT ENTIRELY due to Poor Leadership, Management & Employee Engagement. This Hotel is an Epitome of the above contention. EXCELLENT Location and Good Physical Product - BOTH of which ENTIRELY NULLIFIED by Very Poor Leadership, Ownership & Management. I paid Rs 2000 for a Non AC Room in Gudalur - I may have as well stayed in a LOUSY Oyo Room for HALF the price because : (1) The TV did not work (2) The Bathroom Drainage was CLOGGED and a whole host of LITTLE things that matter ( all of which brought PERSONALLY to the attention of the Hotel Manager - Respectfully & Courteously) . The ROOT cause of the PROBLEM: Very Poor Employee ENGAGEMENT. A NICE Bunch of People ( Who SMILE & GREET ) but who are clearly not SERVICE ORIENTED NOR TRAINED & Managed to perform even the BASIC of Service-Related Tasks. I suggested in fact to the Manager that if ONLY he could improve his Product & Service Quality - Customers would pay an ADDITIONAL Rs 500 Per Room Night. As a Hotelier - it PAINS me to see how the Indian Hospitality Industry is evolving. All FLUFF and No STUFF !!! Very Disappointed. GREAT VALUE Food Pricing though - Not that the Food is Great BUT it is EDIBLE ( ANOTHER Great Opportunity to improve and attract PAYING Custom). I am reminded OFTEN by what Jeff Bezos often states - " Obsessive-Compulsive FOCUS on the CUSTOMER" is why AMAZON is One of the 4 Most Valuable Enterprises in the World.

Reviewed By drvalliappanOne of the very few decent hotels, in Rs. 1000 per double room Non- A/C with Gudalur main town. Basic needs are met..convenient to stay for a night, site seeing, buy some spices in nearby wholesale spots and pack up. No attached restaurant and limited parking.
