We are located in an old coffee farm on the hill side of the San Cristobal Fort in the center of the colonial city of Gracias. Nice rooms, lush gardens, good food and great views. We manage a great source of information in order to help you to explore the region. Hotel Guancascos operates eco friendly and promotes sustainable tourism.

Reviewed By 807keniamI believe this was one of the first hotels in gracias and in my opinion it's still the best. The gardens are beautiful and the rooms are traditional to give you the real Gracias experience. The restaurant has a great view and they serve good coffee.

Good option in the center of Gracias
Reviewed By Airman_blue1At arrival we were told that there is no reservation, even as I showed my reservation on the phone. I had to fight hard to get the room, as I insisted to stay there (pre-paid with Expedia). We spent only one night there. Unfortunately the road in front of the hotel was under renovation and it was very loud until about 5 PM. Our room was on the ground level, there is no fan in the bathroom, so all the moisture accumulates there and you cannot get rid of it. The furniture is basic, the window faces to a patio where people pass by.

Cozy and clean + friendly staff
Reviewed By 807keniamWe spent two days in Santa Rosa. The hotel is in a nice neighborhood. We experienced excellent customer service. It was easy to make the reservation, we even choose a room facing the garden. The rooms were cozy and clean. The price included a full breakfast. The Staff was really friendly and professional.

Reviewed By tarekmR9388GMI was visiting Gracias, Honduras, during the holy week (Semana Santa) in April, 2022. Before my trip to Honduras I had looked up several hotels and read all reviews. This hotel, to my great astonishment later on, had excellent reviews. Therefore, I booked my entire stay (about 8 days) and paid upfront for 4 days (non-refundable). The bathroom was dirty and smelled of urine, and the toilet seat was broke. There were large ants crawling all around the bathroom fixtures and on the bathroom floor. And I am talking about big ants, not the small ones you commonly see. But the last straw what made me leave was the hotel owner claiming that I have someone else staying with me. I tried to explain in my limited Spanish ability that this was nonsense, but that I do have a large family and friends that live in Gracias. Also, that I had left with a family member on the morning of that date to a nearby town (Santa Rosa de Copan) to visit and shop. When we returned, we decided to leave everything in the room because we were going to the festival at the central park and then later on to the local circus. When the circus was finished we returned to the room, where the family members took their things and left to their house, and I remained. The Lady owner then told me, in a very rude manner, that my family can not visit me at the hotel. This is utterly ridiculous. The next morning, I simply left to another hotel, even with two more days of paid stay at the Jardin Cafe. I do not recommend this hotel and I am quite surprised at the reviews. The hotel is located in an industrial part of town, a bit far from central park, and not quite as clean as people have written. My advise is that there are much better hotels in Gracias to consider, with comparable prices, if not cheaper. I stayed in one that is much more cleaner and have much better location and garage parking. For me, and going forward, I will look first for availability at the Tierra Lenca Hotel. And never at the Jardin Cafe.

Villa Ada is a nature reserve in western Honduras. a special place to relax and share with family, you can relax and do your activities in communion with nature and enjoy typical dishes and the house specialty, the fish harvested red tilapia in their own lagoons, very hygienic rooms offer most important services such as wifi, TV, hot water, A / C, private bathroom, a large green area. We contribute to the environment by sorting rubbish, with campaigns to save energy and water use. It's a beautiful place.
Much More Than A Hotel
Reviewed By nitzieWe spent a week in late November visiting my daughter in Gracias,Lempira. Based on her recommendation we chose to stay at Hotel Villa de Ada. It's really not accurate to call this property a hotel. It's more like a resort. It's set on a huge property that is very well maintained (thanks to Gabriel, as well as many others). There are 3 single story buildings each with 4 units. The rooms are air conditioned, have 2 double beds, a TV, a bath with a shower and a hammock out front for relaxing. The hammock is great for reading a book and having a cold cerveza (Salva Vida is my choice). There is a large soccer field as well as 2 full size swimming pools and 3 smaller pools all in a very nice setting. There are 2 large lakes containing Red Tillapia that you can order from the restaurant. Speaking of the restaurant, your room comes with a free fresh breakfast every day. We had hot coffee,bacon,eggs and juice but there are other choices. The servers are very friendly and go out of their way to make you comfortable. I should mention that no one there speaks English but it's not too hard to get your message across. In fact, very few people in Gracias speak English and if it wasn't for my daughter (who is teaching English at a local school) we would have had a much harder, if not impossible time. I have very rarely felt as welcome during my travels as I have at Villa de Ada. If you're planning on a visit to Gracias you can't go wrong by choosing Villa de Ada.

Most Beautiful Part of Honduras
Reviewed By kayyyyblaGracias is quickly becoming my favorite part of Honduras. And Villa Verde Hotel makes for a GREAT place to stay while my friends and I visited. We were able to visit the Canopy Tour, Aguas Termales and Fort San Cristobal easily from here. There are many beautiful restaurants in the town nearby. The staff and owners at the Hotel are helpful and accommodating and quick to respond. The hotel is beautiful, has a great view, and is clean and neat. We love staying here!

Reviewed By eabat17My wife and I have stayed here many, many times over the past several years. We are never disappointed. We love the rooms and how they feel rustic/authentic Honduran countryside. They are very comfortable. The rooms are always clean and they have air conditioning as well as hot water showers. The garden area is always beautiful and well maintained. The breakfasts included in our stays were always very good. We love their customer service. One time we left an expensive pair of headphones in our room. We didn't realize this until we arrived home over 8 hours away from the hotel in a very remote region of Honduras. We called the hotel and they told us that they had found them. The staff was so kind. The employee we talked to drove our headphones downtown to a national shipping company and they arrived in the closest large town to our home within a couple of days. We offered to pay for the shipping of the headphones, but they wouldn't let us. We look forward to many more stays in this beautiful place.

But was I wrong, not only the hotel is of great value for what you pay, it is beautiful and comfortable. Cleanliness and customer service it's what you expect from more expensive hotels. I traveled with my wife and a six month baby, and management was very accommodating to our needs. Administracion y personal son muy agradables y profesionales. Llegue a este hotel con bajas expectativas, pero si que me había equivocado. Al mi segundo día el administrador asistió con excelencia a nuestras necesidades. Realmente merece el nombre de boutique, por su excelente mantenimiento y las maravillosas balcones con hermosas vistas verdes alas montañas. Todos los servicios son buenos y el restaurante es de alta calidad. Estoy tan fascinado que extendere mi estadía. Altamente recomendado

Noise parakeets
Reviewed By Gustavo PThis hotel is very nice for the money they ask for, it’s within a walking distance from town and the fortress entrance is right in front of it. The street noise is not that bad but the bunch a parakeets are very loud in the morning and you can’t sleep late.
