The accommodation is comfortable and beautifully styled, and dinners are a real gastronomic treat, served in a very cozy cave dining room. Patrick and Sabrine made us extremely welcome and Patrick in particular was hugely informative about the local area and indeed all things Tunisian. A very memorable stay and highly recommended, although this perhaps isn’t a place for someone with mobility issues because of the level changes / low ceiling heights, at least in our room.

Dar Fatma Toujane
Reviewed By imed_GHI was really affected once entering Toujane. A berber village where you enjoy the silent rocks and you discover the paths of the ancestors. My wife and I spent the night at "Dar Fatma", the Ben Ahmed's Hostel. We enjoyed the place, the food and the quality of service. It was well organised, very clean, and really calm. I would like to thank Fethi, the proprietor, and all the Ben Ahmed's for this magnificent moments. We well recommended this distination.

DAR AYED se compose d'un chalet avec cheminée pouvant acceuillir 6 à 8 personnes, de deux suites pouvant acceuillir 4 personnes ,d'un logement type S plus 2 pour 6 personnes, d'un autre S plus 1 pour 4 personnes et de cinq chambres indépendantes avec 1 lit double et un lit d'appoint. Notre gîte dispose d'une poscine,d'un jacuzzi, d'une salle de lecture,d'une cuisine avec table campagnarde de 14 places ,d'une bergerie et d'une petite exploitation agricole. Et dernièrement d'une piscine.

The pool looks very nice but cold in winter so we used the jacuzzi inside. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We will come back! Difficult to find something negative to write

The rooms are simple but clean and nicely decorated, there are plug sockets too. The food was delicious and very copious - some of the best food I have had in a guest house in Tunisia (and I live here). I wholeheartedly recommend this guesthouse for anyone visiting Matmata/going on to the berber towns further south. I have stayed in other guesthouses in Matmata and this is better.

Beautiful House
Reviewed By Naw WWe spend two beautiful weeks in this familiar house. Every room has a different style, all rooms are big and clean, also the bathrooms are so clean. The service was excellent and all the people who works there are so kind. The breakfast was good and always fresh. We feel like home and for sure we come back.

Quirky cave like rooms
Reviewed By Avril60We stayed as part of a tour group. Hotel is rated 4* but not sure if it deserves that. Nonetheless had a good stay in their cave like bedrooms which are big (with a double bed & 2 smaller beds at each side). Room is clean but bath & hand towels are brownish, perhaps because guests used the towels after their visits to the Sahara. Time to change new towels. The room is brightly lit & bed comfortable. Dinner & breakfast buffet style are ok. No wifi in room but strong at the reception area. Given the harsh condition of the locale, I would say that the hotel did well in providing guests with good rooms & service.
