Excellent place for photography and bird watching. A place where it's easy to feel at home.

A truly magical experience in every way
Reviewed By DrewV1987I planned for 10 days but stayed for a month. Angie, her family, and her team of gauchos are kind, attentive, and extremely accommodating. They're highly sensitive to each client's varying needs and cater to riders of all levels. Every guest is treated like an old friend. The horses are in incredible health and extremely well trained and cared for. The estancia has an extensive herd and the gauchos are happy to introduce you to many different horses over the course of your stay. Opportunities to visit the town, go fishing, embark on a wildlife safari, or get a massage are also available at your request. The food is excellent; every meal is a fully serviced experience, like eating at a five star restaurant. Rooms provide luxury level comfort and feature central air, comfortable bedding and great showers. The estancia itself is beautiful, adorned with flourishing plant life and outfitted with comfortable lounge furniture from which to read, bird watch, or witness the ethereal sunset. I highly recommend this location. I was completely spoiled and comfortable. I plan to return in a few months and bring several friends because I want to share this amazing place with others. This place provides an experience that is hard to live up to.

Reviewed By clared287La Usina Vieja is a gorgeous little place overlooking the river. We arrived super early off the BA bus and were welcomed with coffee despite the early hour. Paula and Pato could not have been kinder or more helpful. It’s like staying in a friend’s country house. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated with good air con and good showers with plenty of hot water and lovely toiletries. The pool area is lovely with plenty of shade and comfortable seating. Great breakfasts, all home made and if you are lucky Paula will cook you a delicious dinner for a very reasonable charge. We loved our short stay so much we booked to come back.

Reviewed By PeytonholdingsThe posada is very nice, owner is sweet and everything is very laid back. Country setting - town is a canoe, or nice walk(20min) away. So you can got to town(and the waterfront) or relax by the pool and do nothing. I had a great time!

Pleasant facilities in supportive family setting
Reviewed By Tim MAnna and Derrick , the proprietors , did a wonderful job making me feel at home and comfortable. . Their sons were delightful ( I even got a special bird watching trip while w them ). The facilities were modern , very clean and all systems worked well. Discussing world events with Derrick late into the evening reduced sleep hours but increased the sense of cultural exchange so valuable when you travel a huge amount as I do. I had a small but successful weekend fishing for Dorado the original objective of my trip to the region - beautiful waters , exciting fish.

Reviewed By clared287I don’t think that we saw La Rosita at it’s best as many of the lagoons had dried up in the dry weather and travel has still not recovered from the pandemic. Saying that, I can only begin to imagine how beautiful it is in normal times as even so the scenery is stunning and the bird life spectacular. Fernando was super flexible from the start, accommodated our changing dates, was willing to collect us at some ungodly hour from the bus station and catered to our every need as well as being extremely patient with our poor riding skills. The rooms were comfortable and we were made very welcome. The horses were fantastic and perfectly matched to the rider and you could do as much or as little as you liked. Fernando was an absolute pleasure to spend time with and he went out of his way to make everything perfect whilst allowing us to join in the day to day jobs of herding, dipping etc and making us feel like part of the team. The Gauchos were great and the mini Gauchos an added bonus. This is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature. We were sad to leave, thank you for a wonderful few days.

Aguai Lodge is a unique place for fly fishing lovers of our famous Dorado or simply normal fishing of our variaty of fish as pacu, surubi, pati, etc. The perfect location for bird lovers, is one of the best places in the world. Boat trips and picnics, kayaking, or simply relax at the lodge. Enjoy our traditional home made food. Special trips to get to know our Argentinian farms watch our yacares sunbathing, carpinchos, virachos, iguanas, etc. Last weekend of January and the two firsts of February we have our carnaval , comparsas shows, its really worth the experience, it is really beautifull. 1,2,3 March the National Pacu fishing competition is organized in this town together with a musical festival takes place by the river side, next to the port, every year we have different Argentine celebrities participating, really unique, aprox 400 boats depart for the competition. A sight to watch, it’s catch and release.

Reviewed By Pablo19737Empezando por la calidez de la recepción que tuvimos y siguiendo por el lugar,las instalaciones y el servicio, hemos vivido una experiencia fantástica junto con mi mujer. Tras dejar la ruta y después de transitar un camino espectacular pasando por montes nativos, lagunas, bosques de Eucaliptos se llega a este hermoso Lodge desbordado de naturaleza y muy buen gusto en todos los detalles. La atención personalizada le da el toque final a tan buen lugar. A los que les gusta viajar, a los que les gusta conocer lugares distintos y a los que les gusta las buenas cosas, este es un lugar obligado para conocer y volver. Muy recomendable!

Reviewed By rodenriHice una reserva para alojarme en este establecimiento en el mes de octubre/19, no pudiendo viajar por razones de salud. Avise con suficiente antelacion y la propietaria dijo q me iba a devolver el 50% de la misma por transf. bancaria, cosa q nunca ocurrio a pesar de varios reclamos realizados. Realmente no es la magnitud del importe ($300) sino el incumplimiento de la palabra dada, conducta q no esperaba y considero mala politica comercial.
