Conrad Chia Laguna Sardinia

Conrad Chia Laguna Sardinia is a testament to Italian hospitality and charm. The beautifully appointed 5 star hotel resort offers breath-taking view of sea and lagoon, and promises guests the relaxation and calm they've been craving. The energy and vibrance of the surrounding nature encompasses you, and this feeling carries to each of the rooms as well, with their spacious interiors and elegant décor.

Not worth it.

Reviewed By Freedom12019803053

Having stayed at countless Conrad’s across the world (Hilton Honors Diamond member)- this is FAR from being reflective of the Conrad brand. They have a LONG way to go to bring this up to par and lots of kinks to work out still. My suggestion would be to hold off, as it’s simply not worth the price they are charging and lacking in several areas. I usually don’t even write reviews , but we were so disappointed by this I felt obligated to. 1) Unfriendly staff. Not really rude, but not really friendly. Nor do most of them speak English. 2) While they market this as new hotel, it’s far from it. Old hotel that was simply renovated (sub par) and slapped the Conrad brand on it. Shotty finishes in the rooms and overall weird layouts. 3) Service is lacking in all areas. Poor communication, poor check in process, lots of work needed. Asked for many things that were never delivered. 4) Massive hotel (100+ rooms) that’s very spread out, and while there are golf carts, they won’t take you to your room and can be a long walk. Not common for a Conrad. 5) Mosquitos everywhere - even in our room. Can’t blame them really, but unsure if hotel is doing anything to reduce mosquitos (spraying). 6) The beach IS NOT PRIVATE. They advertise a private beach , which it is not. They have their own section of loungers, but looks like anyone can also rent one. One of the beaches are shared with another Hilton nearby. Long downhill/uphill walk to get to (even with their ‘shuttle service’). The other beach is basically a public beach with no feeling of privacy- vendors everywhere that will walk right up to you and try to sell things. Not relaxing nor private. We were looking to experience the advertised privacy that Conrad is known for at their beach resorts, and this was nothing close to it. 7) One beach is about a 5 minute shuttle plus a 5 minute walk (which is not enjoyable uphill). The other is a longer shuttle. They say the shuttles run regularly - but they do not. Yesterday, we waited for nearly 30 minutes for the shuttle but never came so we decided to walk - without clear directions pointing back to hotel - ended up missing our dinner reservations because of this delay. Overall, this is a fairly poor hotel and you’re simply paying for the Conrad name - which isn’t really reflective of this property. We were not impressed. And we travel about 6-8 months out of the year, staying in hotels. Lots of other constructive criticism that I will save, for brevity, but if I were thinking about booking this I’d hold off. Honestly it was a 1 star experience for what we were expecting, but I’ll give it 2 stars simply because.

Hotel Village Chia Laguna Resort

The vivid colours of the Mediterranean invite you to experience an adventure beyond anything you've imagined. Enjoy the comfort and luxury of our Hotel Village in Chia, a true gem in heart of Sardinia. The recently renovated cottage rooms are the resort's most popular attraction, and offer exclusive amenities that have been designed for families with children in mind, such as a mini club, a variety of restaurants, a shuttle train to the beach, a central pool.

Hotel Village

Reviewed By Franci9371

Chia Laguna is composed of several different accommodation possibilities. This review regards the Village accommodation. The Village has accommodation in cottages and buffet service meals. It has a huge pool and a train that brings you to the beach. All in all our holiday was good but there were some points that we did not like. The rooms are very small : for three persons they are really tiny and with very little storage space. There were no kleenex in the room and despite being refurbished you can see they have an old concept (bathroom with no ventilation, tiny walls - you can hear all from upstairs...). The sea is beautiful BUT the beach is not well managed : the life guard is never there, always talking on the phone and never finding any solutions to whatever question you may have. You need the lifeguard to collet towels but he is never around.... the animation team is not much present (probably due to the covid emergency) nevertheless the evening shows are very nice. Food is nice BUT the service is very disorganized. Both at the restaurant on the beach and at the buffet. Waiters are not organized : they do all sorts of things (they dress up the table, take the orders for the rinks, clean up the table, etc) so nobody knows exactly what to do and as a consequence there are queues and tables are never cleaned up. This was a major issue at dinner. Also the prices of the drinks are ridiculously high : 4 euros for a bottle of water and no less that 45 euros for a bottle of wine. They overcharge too much. Last note : the tea quality was very low and really undrinkable... If the management could redress the service problem it would be a good start.

Faro Capo Spartivento

The Capo Spartivento Lighthouse was built in 1856 by the Italian Navy. During the last war it was machine-gunned by American planes and, later on, it functioned as the lighthouse keepers residence until the late 80s. It has lit the way for seamen for over 150 years, slicing the darkness like a sword with its welcoming beam of light, is now fully restored and works as a luxury hotel without losing its original function.

We were here last in 2014 & had to return. There are 6 rooms in the converted lighthouse. The last time we had the sun rise room & this time the sunset room. Both are fantastic. They both have views of the Mediterranean & the infinity pool. The food is excellent & the staff outstanding. Leonardo & Daniele two of the waiters were exceptional, to say the least. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Quiet, relaxing & a wonderful place to just relax & enjoy Sardinia.

Bare essentials for Luna rooms

Reviewed By Leelium

Don't expect anything from this place. The photos look nice but in reality all you get are your beds and an air conditioned room. When we arrived everything including the AC was off. The fridge was also off so we had to wait an hour or so to put our food and drinks. There is a fridge outside with what looks like a breakfast and snacks, but it's locked and there's no indication of how to unlock it. Another thing it lacks is rules and indications. Everything is in Italian but I wouldn't imagine a foreigner to understand much of it. There is a garden outside, but it's too hot to stay there until 8pm. After that it's dark and there is not a single light outside so eating there required candles and our lights from the phones. There are no essentials apart from the bed linens and some towels so bring your own soap, hair dryer and shower gel/shampoo. There are better places around using airbnb which look more like a bnb than this.

Charming and relaxing hotel. Great location at Chia's bay

Reviewed By ricardomiralles75

We spent six nights at the Hotel Spartivento and everything was perfect! Fantastic accommodation, very cozy, beautiful sea views and the friendliest staff. Always ready to help you with anything and everything in any way possible to make your stay wonderful. The swimming pool was very nice and the views to the bay were amazing. Our room was a little small but comfortable, the furniture seems a bit outdated. The bathroom is not big, it has a narrow shower and the shower curtain was dirty all along the bottom, and the bottom of the bathroom door had cracks. Definitely the bathroom needs an upgrade The breakfast was good, and the two nights we had dinner we really enjoyed the food. Overall the location, the place and the staff are fantastic but in my opinion the price is a little high for a three star hotel and the condition our room was in. But at least we had a nice sea view because the rooms in the back of the property had no view at all. We would definitely recommend it!
