My family, friends and I just spent a week at this beautiful resort and had the most amazing time. The facilities were great and most staff really attentive, especially James in the restaurants and Humphrey in the bar. Humphrey serves by far the best cocktails!! The accommodation was okay and as expected for Kenya but could do with brightening up and in some of the rooms not all the facilities were working, These were mainly minor things though to be honest. For anyone venturing on the beach you will be mobbed by the locals who absolutely need your business following covid. Not all are honest so please do ask for Stefan if you are interested in doing trips or jet skis, visit Moses to buy your gifts and lastly I would thoroughly recommend a massage by Mercy.

Amazing Every time!

I've lost count of how many times I've been a visitor at Diani Sea Lodge and I keep returning simply because of the amazing customer service I receive each visit. The rooms are clean and comfortable though you'll find you won't spend much time indoors. It is a lovely beach front hotel with plenty of sunbeds and outside seating areas. It has two pools, one is for children. Food is tasty and there is always variety! You can request a seafood platter at a very pocket friendly cost. The bar will have all your favourites and the snack bar will keep you well fed if you don't want to go to the main restaurant. It's exactly the place you want to be for a relaxing, stress free holiday.

Amazing Lodge and Staff

We stayed for 5 nights and there are not enough words to describe what an amazing time we had at WaterLovers! The location is magical and the rooms amazing, but not enough can be said about the outstanding service provided by each and every staff member that go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Valentina the manager made sure we had everything we needed and also helped including airport pick up, local Tuk Tuk transport, outside restaurante recommendations, PCR tests and tours. Truly felt like royalty every step of the way. The food was excellent, we had breakfast every day as part of the stay, had lunches from the snack menu and stayed for dinner on two occasions. Everything was fresh, local and delicious! We also greatly appreciated the fact that the lodge is built and run in an eco friendly manner hiring and sourcing all its products locally. The property is located right on the beach, with sunbeds in a private setting so you do not get bothered by vendors. The room (we stayed in Lion) has a balcony and views onto the ocean, comfortable king bed with mosquito net and great local decor, AC, safe and a day bed by the window to relax and enjoy the sea view. I have stayed at many highend tropical locations, this by far exceeded all expectations. My wife and I both agreed that WaterLovers is a perfect location for our romantic getaway/late honeymoon. We both like small luxury boutique lodges and we felt like we were on a desert island with full service. We would come back here on holiday without a second thought. Thank you very much Valentina and team for such a magical stay! We will be back soon. Oksana and Thomas

Southern Palms Beach Resort

This dramatic hotel with its fantastic pools and beautiful beach is the perfect spot to relax after a safari… or simply visit to relax! The warm and very African feel of the hotel with comfortable rooms, well appointed bathrooms and selection of restaurants offers guests plenty of places to lounge in the sun and almost as many shady spots to enjoy a bit of a breeze and a good book. All rooms have quiet, split unit air conditioners, televisions, mini fridges and coffee and tea making facilities. There is a safe (chargeable) in each room and a business center located in the main building with internet or wifi access in public areas. The drama of the huge, traditional makuti (thatched) roof in the main restaurant offers the Chef a terrific showcase for a varied selection of local and international dishes on the buffet or you could indulge at one of the a la carte restaurants (chargeable) for a special occasion or just a quiet evening for two.

Good facility

Reviewed By rv0106

This resort is a vast one with spacious rooms, well laid out amenities, good spread of culinary dishes (native, continental, asian etc.) and evening entertainment. The beach is clean with soft white sand. The massage in the spa was worth its value. The service was overall good. Things we felt need to be done differently or better are: charging for safety locker in the room, water and the rigid process needed for reserving table in the restaurants (these are separate from the buffet offered in the common dining hall).

Our worst nightmare!

Reviewed By salster122

After an amazing safari we went to chill on white sandy beaches... not! Green and smelly! Room had a coat of paint! Rusty/mouldy bathroom! Off white robe with stains in a wardrobe with no doors! Reception rude, food overwhelmed with flies. Most staff were nice. We got upgraded to what they said was the vip suite?! Windows rattled noisely in the wind every night. A/C didn't work properly. Jacuzzi bath leaked and didn't work. Do umbrellas supplied when it was raining so missed breakfast. I could go on and on. If it wasn't going to cost £1500 for flights home we'd of left ASAP.

A Hidden Gem

I chose Asha Boutique Hotel from the online reviews. However what I saw and experienced was beyond my expectations. It had everything to make this holiday one to remember and return back. Starting with Jeff who arranged a taxi pick up. Jeff shared a touching story regarding the origin of the name of the hotel. All the staff are exceptional who look after all the comforts. The rooms are tastefully decorated, reminded me of Zanzibar. The Bed was very comfortable. The room had many windows to let the breeze in. The beach is only steps away. Being a solo traveller, I felt safe here. Asha Bistro offers delicious a la carte choices, including the ones I sampled: Ugali and spinach, chicken curry, grilled fish and pumpkin soup.

Relaxing, delightful stay

Reviewed By hcb81

I came here for a couple of nights alone to relax and it was everything I wanted it to be. The service here really stands out for me, the staff - all of them without exception - were brilliant. So helpful, so kind and really made the effort to make you feel like you were being looked after. The food was fantastic and I really liked that it wasn't a restaurant area that it was served around the garden area, it just made it feel really homely. I really like the boutique feel to it overall. The setting, right on the beach was also really lovely. My only suggestion would be that the tables/chairs around the pool area could be modernised a little. The beds on the beach were fab though. I would return.
