We had never stayed in a period property before and we weren't disappointed! Our room (Henley) was very spacious and really comfortable and had a fabulous sea view. Breakfast was delicious with a wide choice, we enjoyed a different one every day. Fiona & Rob were very welcoming and not only do they serve a good breakfast, they bake a mean chocolate cookie too!

Beaches Bungalow

5* accommodation on a low budget

Reviewed By rhirhi18

I cannot advise this bungalow enough. From the minute we booked Lynne (the owner) kept in touch with suggestions and ideas to do whilst in Dawlish, information regarding the bungalow and what was on at the welcome club house during our stay. The bungalow was spotless! We were greeted buy a beautiful cream tea, biscuits and milk, perfect after a long journey. The bungalow has 2 generous size bedrooms, one double which was extremely comfy and 2 full size single beds. The modern shower room was high end and powerful, not like your typical caravan shower. I would definitely recommend this bungalow for anyone who enjoys a British holiday park stay but wants a bit more luxury rather than a caravan. The passes cost us £3 per adult for the week. The passes allowed us entry to all facilities on the campus including the lovely swimming pool.

Pleasantly surprised

I booked my stay at Oceans before I had read some awful reviews and once I had, it was with trepidation that I checked in for my three night stay. Without doubt, the hotel is in need of an up to date makeover, but I found the wall mural and the eclectic collection of wallpapers charming. The staff are friendly and helpful, the room was clean, bright and a good size, with a sea view and a properly opening window! Breakfast is continental but there’s a large choice from cereal to boiled eggs to cheese and ham to yoghurt and toast. You can mix and match whatever you’d like and can have all of it if you wish.( I tried that but I was too full when I got to the yoghurts!). I say that this hotel is good value for the price paid and I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.
