Cascina Rosengana Bed&Charme

Romantic farmhouse with lovely mini-apartments, a unique atmosphere, a pleasant dip in the Piedmont gastronomy thanks to the particular attention in the raw materials research

Great place to visit! A must have to see in Asti.

I have been in Italy with my motor to tour around. The intention was to stay here 1 night, but I stayed even three nights! I really can recommend this place. Best food and wonderfull "Tuscany" view! If you stay longer, I can advise to visit the restaurant in Cocconato "Cantina Ponte" as well. Great wines and pasta's. Great addiction to your stay or holiday! La vite e bella!

Locanda Martelletti

Locanda Martelletti is a restored 18th building in the heart of the little town of Cocconato. It has a cheerful simplicity, with balconies and some classical details on its yellow stucco facade. Cocconato has the nickname Monferrato's Riviera, thanks to his unusual micro-climate.The rooms are comfortably furnished, with stone floors, modern iron bedsteads, plain colours. A paved garden has fine views and in the historical square, in a large dehors, guests can take breakfast, dinner or an aperitif. The restaurant serves fine Piedmontese food.Locanda Martelletti with its ownwer Franca,is friendly, hands-on, unpretentious and welcoming.

Total relaxation

Ironically , the village name is fro m the Latin expression for fatigue given that it's hard work getting anywhere within the village on foot. It's on climb after another. However, that means once one has arrived. There is isolation and peace from the hustle and bustle of the surrounding world. Franca runs the B&B with a little help from her daughters. She provided ideal breakfasts including her youngest's delicious home-made marmalade . The structure is a maze of antique but delightful, clean and very spacious rooms. She and her girls are very friendly and helpful and gave us all the tips we needed to see the best of the surrounding areas on daytrips from their B&B as a base. The village itself has all the essentials but it's best to lunch in one of the many very interesting larger towns within easy reach by car. We strongly recommend Locanda Martelletti for a relaxing break. The quality of the air in the area is exceptional. We slept like logs without any artificial cooling even though down on the surrounding plains , it was hot and stuffy.

We stayed two nights at this b&b and found it warm, cosy, relaxing and the owners were really easy going. They have also a bar and cook all the breakfast's delicatessen by themselves! Great, clean and well equipped double room for a convenient price. Would definitively recommend it.

Here Again, Beautiful

This is our second time staying at Sotto La Luna Bruna. We stayed here 4 years ago and nothing has changed. The hosts, Benedetta and Paolo, are simply the best and the house and room are cozy and comfy and the breakfast is delicious. Sitting on the balcony of our room with a glass of wine and a good book or on the patio is sooooo.... relaxing. The B&B is near many wonderful restaurants, wineries and attractions yet in a very peaceful valley. Benedetta is a wealth of information about the area and can place reservations for you at restaurants and many other attractions. This place is a must stay if you want peace and quiet yet still have access to many fine attractions and restaurants.

Charming small guesthouse very close to the center of Cocconato

Spacious and comfortable guesthouse in Cocconato, just a short walk from the city centre. The room I stayed in was a ground floor apartment with bedroom, living room / kitchen and bathroom - spacious and clean. As it's quite high on the hill there are great views over the surrounding countryside. Cocconato is a gorgeous medieval village and very fun to visit for a day or two. The owners of Casa Brina also own two high quality wineries in Cocconato - Bava Wines and Giulio Cocchi. If you're interested in local produce then ask for a winery tour!

Non andateci Durante le festività!

Reviewed By Maps49142274936
