Location: About 4 km from the historical center of Cisternino and about 7 minutes drive. Beautiful and peaceful location and we did love the small town of Cisternino. Room: We wanted to spend the night in a trulli and it was so much better then expected. The room was decorated very tastefully with lots of light, lots of space, great bed, excellent shower. They did have a great system to close the curtains at night and it worked perfectly once we figured out it worked with magnets on the door posts. Pool: Nice pool although a bit noisy due to 2 families with small children. The hotel feels more suited for adults only to me. Breakfast: Best breakfasts of our 11 day trip. They work with a menu for the hot dishes and the eggs Florentine were delicious. Great service and coffee at breakfast as well. Service: Everybody at this hotel was so genuinely friendly and helpful. It was a real joy staying there. We hope to be able to return to the hotel one day as it was the best hotel of our trip.

Gorgeous location

Reviewed By paulvI8235OT

Gorgeous location for this hotel , close to Cisternino and in the middle of the Oliver trees plantation, greeny area and very quiet place. Large Rooms entirely renovated in a modern style. Large parking space very appreciated. Very nice swiming pool. The cleaning of the rooms and the resort are perfect. However, No service offer at the hotel...for example no laundry service...Not enough storage to put the clothes in the room for a long stay. On booking, the hotel is sold with a restaurant and the restaurant is closed , we are in high season. Very poor wifi. No wifi at the swimming pool. Not enough power to download a document or a video. Wifi in the room come and go. If you want to follow your business, very hard. TV network offers mainly italien channels. At the reception, two young persons relatives of the owners , with no warm welcoming , and no smile...no interactive conversation. They do their work and it seems to be enough for them. For example, one night, there was a party, nobody inform us about the noise. Basic breakfast with plastic glasses for the juices at disposal in plastic bottles at disposal and the must, the famous yellow tea bags. Toaster is on request. Globally, not a bad place just a bit sad considering the good location that the resort is managed without any soul.

Riposo del Vento - Trulli and B&B

The Riposo del Vento B&B is a small conglomerate of trulli and lamie, built entirely in local stone and dating back to the end of the 19th century. It has been restored recently, but in complete respect of the original aspects, both in structure and in furnishing. At the same time they have been furnished with all the comforts necessary for a perfect relax. The B&B is made of several apartments that can house two, four or six people, and there are two possible renting formulas: service flat formula and bed & breakfast formula. The apartments are equipped with every comfort, in the form of a kitchen or a kitchenette (with fridge, oven, blender and toaster), washing machine, air conditioning, central heating, lcd tv, Internet wireless access and linens. Each apartment has its own bower, which provides cover for eating outside and ensures privacy for the guests. Outdoor a big garden with swimming pool.

Peaceful location but poor service

We stayed 2 nigths in a Trullo at Riposo del Vento and the experience itself was great. The b&b is set in a peaceful location away from the busy roads surranded by hundreds of olive trees. They have a small swimming pool for guests to enjoy too. Not much to do for kids unfortunately apart from a not well maintained slide and swing .The hosts were nice and friendly and made us soon feel welcomed but on the negative side the service we received was poor .They should definitely improve the breakfast as we were only given a small plate with a few biscuits in it for the whole stay. Location is good as it is 10 min drive to Ostuni where all restaurants and shops are.

So quite / lots of class

It's a bit odd to get there as you have to drive over the railway and in very small lanes but once you get there it's superb. The rooms are in trulli style. Swimming pool + bar is great, breakfast is the best we had in Italy. Dinner is mediocre, but acceptable. We would recommend.

Dimora San Quirico - Rooms & Food

The residence was born from the renovation and recovery of a typical casina of the Itria valley, which dates back to 1928, and was entirely built out of stone using a similar technique to the one used to build the trulli. The house originally consisted of only three rooms: the entrance hall, a kitchen on the left with a large fireplace and a bedroom on the right. It was also equipped with an underlying cellar and, below that, a cistern of water which is said to be the greatest in the district. Rainwater, a precious resource for a dry land like ours, was conducted from the terrace provided with a rounded roof connected to the cistern through a canal system. The water was then drawn from the cistern with an iron bucket. This canal system and the cistern are still in use nowadays to irrigate the lawn and all the greenery that surrounds you. "We wanted to give new life to our home by preserving its original integrity and beauty, respecting the territory and its identity." Stone, lime and iron have been precious materials in the hands of skilled local craftsmen, who have managed to combine respect for tradition with the most modern technologies in order to offer our guests a high level of comfort.

Emplacement top, entre Cisternino et Ostuni. Le cadre environnant est charmant. Le site est beau et propre. Espace piscine top.

Fabulous, relaxing holiday

Reviewed By harrythedog

This place offers the best stay you can imagine in the Valle d'Itria area. The location is perfect, immersed in quiet, picturesque countryside but barely a 5 minute drive to the town of Cisternino (or 15 minutes to Locorotondo and Martina Franca for those who want to explore). As for the place, there aren't enough superlatives do it justice. The staff are incredibly helpful and welcoming, the rooms impeccably clean and comfortable (as well as being perfectly air-conditioned, seeing as the daytime temperatures hit 36C during our stay) and the pool area is an oasis of calm, with picnic tables and a hammock in the wooded areas just beyond here. Breakfasts were wonderfully varied, including freshly made cakes and focaccia, served outside on the terrace. We were made to feel totally at home and enjoyed a fabulous family holiday (a group ranging from 12 to 82 years old)! We will certainly return!

Brilliant friendly stay and highly recommend

We really enjoyed our time at this hotel. We were at a wedding in a nearby town and thought this would be a great base for us for a few days to explore more. Fabio and his family were extremely friendly and helpful. He speaks excellent English and was on hand to support. The breakfasts were lovely (albeit a little sweet for us) and the property itself was a quiet and family run with access to a pool and sunbeds. Highly recommend hiring a car if you stay here... because you'll need it! Thank you Fabio and family!

A lovely masseria

Reviewed By askok

This lovely masseria is located just outside of Cisternino and easily accessible by car. There was a warm welcome by (I think) Rino. The masseria has an authenic feel to it. The room was spacious and very clean. There is a pool, but I didn't use it. Breakfast was awesome! There was plenty of choice and the homemade cakes were great! Great choice to stay here when you are in the Cisternino area.
