Beautiful hotel, we have 80 comfortable rooms, restaurant, spa, pool, parking and beautiful gardens that will make you feel in Chiapas. We have excellent location, just 2 blocks from the central square and all the attractions of the Magic Town of Chiapa de Corzo and just 3 blocks from the pier to visit the Sumidero Canyon, we are also the closest hotel to the international airport of Tuxtla Gutierrez.
Be cautious - security risk
Reviewed By U1075WNmichaelbThis was our second visit to this hotel as in the past we had enjoyed the setting and the meals here. The garden setting is still lovely, and rooms are adequate. Disappointed that dinner was not being served, but the buffet breakfast was very nice. Our huge upset was that we had a new iPad stolen from our baggage while it was in the care of reception. We checked out of our room at noon, ordered a taxi to the airport for 1:00, and left the hotel for an hour to get some lunch. On our return to the hotel at 1:00 we didn't have time or reason to check anything before getting into the waiting taxi to be whisked off to the airport. Our bags were with us 100% of the time (all was carry-on) from room check out, where we had the device, til that evening when we unpacked at destination and noticed the loss. Except for that one hour when we left all our bags with La Ceiba's reception! It is totally clear that the theft occurred during that hour. It is our opinion that this hotel was complicit/negligent in allowing this theft to occur on their property. In our experience, hotels around the world provide baggage storage service pre-check in and post-check out reliably. Way to go, La Ceiba, this is a first for us, and we want others to know about it.

Right on the Plaza, Great AC!
Reviewed By CharlieOrlandoStayed one night in Chiapa de Corzo since had a very early flight out of Tuxla. Chiapa de Corzo is definitely worth one day and night, not only depending on your arrival/departure from Tuxla, but VERY easy to do the Sumidero Canyon from there rather than with a tour out of San Cristobal. The town is cute and the Casa Grande has both Colonial charm and modern conveniences. The AC was appreciated as feels hot and humid after being up in the highlands. The room and bathroom both seemed recently renovated, as was crisp and clean. The hotel helped arrange for a very early taxi to the airport, which you either know or will find out is NOT near anything.

What we expected.
Reviewed By mitty2015We booked here because it was the only place in town that accept pets. Often in our travels we have had to stay is sub standard hotels because of our dog. This hotel is the best location in Chiapa de Corzo. Near central square and the river. Room was basic but very comfortable. AC worked great. They do have free parking but it is several blocks from the hotel. No problema parking on the Street right in front, as it is a peaceful, quiet Little town. Trip up the canyon was beautiful.

Bathroom in poor condition
Reviewed By Paulina GAbout things that bother me a hotel is poor hygiene in the bathroom. I chose this hotel for its price and availability, however I think that is necessary to take greater care with the bathrooms. My shower was full of tartar and the drain was clogged. I could not rest because the bed was hard.

The accommodation Colibri has spacious and comfortable rooms, is half a block from the central square and very close to the artisan corridor and the tourist jetty of Chiapas del Corzo. It is a place where customer satisfaction comes first, a place of very good quality.

Cold showers
Reviewed By Fiona KIt is pretty, wifi is good, reasonably priced, spacious rooms but poor lighting. We arrived at 7 at night hoping to get a bite to eat. They have a restaurant but they said it was closed. The unforgivable Transgression was nobody in our group got a warm shower. I really don't appreciate cold showers at 5 in the morning--one star!

It's a poor man's la ceiba
Reviewed By Josue2701It's the budget aide of la ceiba. Same front desk and services. Just in on older side of the building. The good part is you get the la ceiba grounds and access just not the rooms. Clean rooms, older tile in showers. Good budget option.
