The property is located on the backwater stretch in Champakulam, Alleppey. Its sits on a very private 1.2 acres plot of land and contains four tastefully designed cottages, that uses a lot of art, earthy fabrics, 400 thread count linen, all painstakingly sourced from the artisans of India, a total of four rooms, all of which are river facing and two of them have plunge pools attached to them.
A Comfortable Local Taste
Reviewed By ChrisMItchellKaicannot rave enough about this place. David and Mahima were the most accommodating and friendly hosts. The food was absolutely delicious, authentic Indian cooking. Lots of local information as David is native to the area. Their English is excellent so there’s no communication issues for English speakers. The accommodations were lovely, a beautiful mix of the original build with the modern conveniences. We arrived by a 70 year old teak boat to their gazebo where we usually were served our meals . We had our own little house with bare concrete floors that were warm in that climate. New air conditioner unit that kept our place cool for us. A quaint private outdoor bathroom with new fixtures, great water pressure and hot water for the shower. We enjoyed our own private outdoor space with a place to eat, a garden bench swing, relaxing chairs and our own soaking pool! The visit will remain one of our best holidays. Houseboat Opal
Reviewed By 60milaWe did a 2 night cruise. The house boat is luxurious and is fully AC and has no Mosquito problem. The chef was great and served up really good breakfast lunch and dinner. We cruised up and down the backwater. The boats have WiFi. Their private Marina is secluded and very nicely done. There is a pool if one wants to swim.
