Wonderful hotel, staff & best view in Chernobbio
Reviewed By Liza CStayed for 6 nights, really enjoyed the rooms with balcony & view. Great location for spectacular views. Staff is warm, helpful and genuine. Leaving after 6 nights felt like leaving a home away from home, because of the staff. The breakfast is delicious and the views from the restaurant are simply stunning. Full view of Chernobbio from mountain to mountain. Cleanliness is top and Luigi at the reception was super helpful - able to help me find a PCR test, book transfers, move us from one room to another, find us great restaurants. Mirabella from the restaurant simply made our mornings - we enjoyed the casual chats, her sense of humor and the fact that she remembered our preferences right away. Luciano & the lovely Sicilian waiter also added to our stay. Looking forward to returning there on our next trip. The only downside is that pillows were a bit hard and uncomfortable- otherwise a stellar stay and value for money.

It's all about the view
Reviewed By yvonnem555I have stayed in Cernobbio twice before and both times stayed next door at the Regina Olga. Now that hotel is gutted and -maybe- being renovated. Since the location is perfection, we decided to stay at the Miralago for this trip. What a lovely hotel! As stated, the location is absolute perfection. I've had friends stay at the Sheraton down the street, and while a lovely property, there is no view of the lake. Miralago is all view. The top floor rooms have balconies overlooking the lake. With your doors open, you can see the morning light make the lake glitter, the afternoons and evenings bring everyone out to promenade. Dogs are barking in the morning while everyone is grabbing their first espresso. I can, and do, stay in chain hotels all over the world. Often times they are really the best option. Why, when you have this stunning body of water, would you not try to spend as much time as possible with it?

Reviewed By 21budwWe walked 15 minutes from our hotel to Cernobbio. The restaurant was tucked back on the other side of Cernobbio. The food was wonderful and the service was great. We had a type of “frutti de Mari” pasta dish that was out of this world. The prices were very reasonable and the wine prices reasonable.

Similar to a stay at Le Sirenuse in Positano this hotel is almost like a dream when you are there, then stays with you and beckons you back after you leave. The grounds are stunning and there really is nothing else like it on the lake. I do extensive research on every option when I book our European hotels. Yes, the Mandarin and IL Sereno are new and more modern but they just don't have the classical elegance and history that Villa d'Este exudes. I love a modern room and bathroom but would not trade the experience of this magical place for a modernity elsewhere. Go modern in Milan or Rome but on Lake Como if you can, you really should stay here. The staff are all lovely and welcomed us "back" upon check in even though it had been years since my husband had visited as a child. We had two rooms, a junior suite exclusive park view and a deluxe double lake view, they did not connect. Both were classical style rooms in the Queens pavilion and both had beautiful views but this hotel is so much more than the room you sleep in. The breakfast on the terrace with the view of the lake is almost surreal and the pool and grounds are a small slice of heaven that are so peaceful that you have no choice but to relax. Be sure to check out their event calendar when booking your trip. On our last stay we checked out on July 4th only to realize they have a wonderful July 4th gala that we would just miss. This year I planned our trip to make sure we don't miss it and we are counting down the days until our return.

Casa Santo Stefano offers five large bedrooms with minibar, air condition, flat TV, free parking and wi-fi. Breakfast is included and guests have exclusive access to the garden and pool and to the self-service bar. We are just above Cernobbio with panoramic view on Como and the lake; there are two very good restaurants at less than 5 minutes by walk opened every day for lunch and dinner.
Nice location and expensive for what is offered
Reviewed By Bart MThe B&B is what it shows on the pictures. Stylish villa, with equally stylish rooms and great garden and view. The breakfast was really good. Just when you pay so much for a B&B you expect it to be perfect. You don’t expect fungus like deposits around the shower door hinges, you don’t expect half of the rain shower water holes to be plugged, which is what we encountered.
