Reviewed By I6577TCsabrinacWe stayed with our family of 5 at the Atelier sul Mare, into two "Camere d'Arte" and we had the best time. The rooms were peculiar but spacious and clean. It's a creative experience which should be used as a break from a normal summer. 100% recommend this hotel for a quick weekend in Sicily by the sea.

Reviewed By Vincenzo SA due passi dal mare You are really at two steps from the beach, but this is a quite common situation in a small village like Castel di Tusa. The better sea is not in front of this B&B but at the village, under the castle. The rooms are clean but you must avoid those in the back of the house since hot (in spite of the air conditioner) and small. You must known that there is one bathroom every two rooms and that one of the bathroom is very small. You get in at 2 p.m. and you must leave at 10 am. Otherwise you must pay a night more. The breakfast is a very simple one: coffee/cappuccino and brioche. Water supply is good however the shower is weak. Mountain bikes are not working. The place is a nice one but you cannot feel a friendly atmosphere. The owner is a surly man with rude mood often quarreling with the wife and looking at prices. The young man at the bar is the only smiling. You can eat in their restaurant at the beach but it is as costly as the other restaurants of the village that are far better in quality ("Trinacria" in one of the best in my opinion). If you can choose it would be far better to find a B&B in the village, next to the wonderful beach under the castle.

Placed in the heart of Tusa's valley and only two kilometers away from an antic fishing village; the Masseria is located in an extraordinarily rich territorial context regarding naturalistic, historical, architectural and natural point of views, between the two biggest green lungs of Sicily : Nebrodi National Park and Madonie Regional Natural Park. The property, ranked 4 stars, restored and adapted to agrotourism, is divided in five apartments: the millstone, oil mill, barn, farmhouse et manor house. * Immersed in the typical Mediterranean maquis, the Masseria offers forms of escape that are able to gather, on one hand the possibility of approaching nature and on the other, a holiday close to the concept of relaxation, entertainment and tradition. Walking along the river bank, among ancient olive trees, oaks and eucalyptus groves, the various recreational activities and guided tours will allow you to spend a pleasant time in the farm.

Reviewed By Austin02006We stayed here for four nights in the Frantoio Suite and I have mixed feelings about this place and the service you get. The village and beach of Castel di Tusa is approx. 10 min. away by car. The Frantoio Suite has a small bar area which is not suitable for self-catering. We had diner at the Masseria all four nights – highly recommended (EUR 30 per person without wine). Three times the diner was excellent, one night the quality of the food was also excellent, the type of dishes offered, however, was rather uninspiring. Pros: -Nice property in a quiet valley overlooking the hills with olive trees (but also the bridge of the nearby autostrada crossing the valley – see below cons) - Large room, nicely decorated - Nice pool area - Good location to explore the northern coast of Sicily - Very friendly staff - Just four rooms Cons: - Rather disappointing breakfast, a selection of jams, bread and upon request a boiled egg (can’t share the positive reviews on Tripadvisor in that respect) - Upon a closer look, the room would use a careful cleaning (in the corners, behind the mill stone etc.) - The valley is crossed by a nearby huge autostrada bridge which is just not very pleas-ant to look at (you barely hear any traffic noise, it’s just that the view is not that great if you look into the direction of the sea) - Bathroom/shower was really small and does not satisfy the expectations of a room in this price range (the shower curtain should be washed or replaced better sooner than later) - Overpriced laundry – they charged us 20 Euros for using the washing machine twice (blame me, I could have asked for the price in advance, I just did not consider that they would charge us that much money for the simple use of the washing machine) - No service in the rooms during our entire stay (empty trash bins, new towels etc.) Bottom line: It’s a nice and relaxing place but it has its downsides as well. The owners should work on some of the cons above (breakfast, cleanness) to justify the rates for the rooms.

Una terrazza sul mare
Reviewed By janeausten23Siamo stati solo 4 giorni (io, mio marito e i nostri bambini di 5 e 2 anni), avremmo voluto fossero di più. La casa è veramente perfetta, un bel soggiorno spazioso, due grandi camere da letto, una cucina dotata di tutto, e, dulcis in fundo, una grande terrazza con vista sul mare, davvero splendida. Fare colazione lì, e mangiare la sera godendoci il tramonto era sempre bellissimo. Anna è stata molto gentile, ed anche il proprietario, che ci ha accompagnati alla casa il primo giorno facendoci strada dal casello. La casa è nuovissima, ben arredata e non mancava davvero niente, dal detersivo per i piatti all'olio, dal sale alle cialde per il caffè, dal detersivo per la lavatrice all'autan. La spiaggia delle Lampare, stupenda, è vicina, ed anche il bar Porto Marina, che fa granite buonissime. Ci torneremo sicuramente.
