Reviewed By Charles KDifficult to review this place - strong feeling that it is living on past glories and has gone downhill since Covid. But staff were friendly, breakfast on our terrace was very good and the setting was lovely. The noise of the cockerels and other birds. was not an issue for us - the garden courtyard was lovely and great base for exploring ruins. However, no tea or coffee maker in room; no mini bar and no mountain view - all of which are stated on bookings.com. No bottled drinking water; no door locks, no safe. No on-site restaurant or bar. (except for breakfast). No wardrobe / closets for hanging clothes. No car park - parking is on a quiet country track.

Really expensive for what you get
Reviewed By FellowTraveler691902Beautiful place! The site overall is super beautiful with jungle all around! Very eco friendly which is nice but be prepared to wash yourself with a coconut and a bucket full of brown rain water. Eco friendly toilets and our campsite did not have a place to cook which I expected (being a place to camp) really nice clean and comfortable bedding for camping. I loved all the sounds of all the nature all around but overall really expensive for what you get.

Casa Ka´an is located in a fruit orchard surrounded by jungle. Its the perfect place for those searching for a quiet and relaxing place to stay close to nature. The houses have air conditioning, hot water, Wi-fi, and all the commodities for you to feel like at home. Each house has a private, fully equipped kitchen where breakfast is served every morning, and where you can cook your own meals.

Reviewed By Siteseer1We chose this hotel for our 2 day stay in the area to see Calakmul and Becan. Check in was easy, you will see reception and the restaurant when you 1st enter the property. We drove up a short road to Limon cabana, road does need work, a little rough. The cabana was very nice, hammock on the porch. Inside a little kitchenette, frig, sink, coffee pot, dishes. The room itself was up to date modern and clean. 1 issue we had was that the air con did not blow onto the bed and you would get warm in bed. We put the mattress on the floor where the air and ceiling fan could blow on us and it kept us cool. The food was very good, it was nice visiting with other guests at dinner about their travels. Great stay. Friendly staff. Lovely place.

Good Base for Exploring Mayan Sites
Reviewed By JoeBenevidesOtoch Béek (Casa Robles) is in a great location for exploring the numerous Mayan sites in the area. Becán is just on the other side of the main highway and the road to Calakmul is west about 20 miles. The location is secluded and quiet, just south of the main highway 186. When driving east there’s a little sign pointing the way to turn right just before the last bus stop in Becán. After the right turn then a quick left and the cute, brightly painted bungalows will be on your right. We had dinner a couple of times in the closest town, Xpujil, about 5 miles east. We noticed hotels there, but the highway through town is really noisy with trucks, so we were glad we didn’t stay in town. Breakfast is included, but it’s minimal, just coffee, OJ, toast and bananas. East of Becán there are plenty of gas stations, but to the west there is nothing until Escarcega, so gas up there when headed east, or gas up in Xpujil when headed west. Otoch Béek doesn't take credit cards, so be prepared to pay in pesos or U.S. Dollars.

Reviewed By MarM1226Me hospede en estas cabañas como recomendación de un taxista tanque quería visitar la ZA de balamku x la mañana, que se encuentra a unos dos km de las cabañas, por el momento la ZA de calakmul está cerrada pero las otras zonas son muy bellas para visitar si uno se encuentra ya tan al sur de campeche. Las cabañas son atendidas x la familia y fueron .uy amables conmigo al llegar tan tarde y sola. Por el tema de contingencia muchas cosas no están abiertas al 100 aún en Campeche , en tema de alimentos pero al llegar le pedí ala señora si tenía algo y me preparo una rica cena, con tortillas hechas a mano. Estuvimos platicando sobre otras opciones a hacer y fueron muy amables en recomendar y recibirme como en familia. La cabaña es muy amplia como también el baño. La cama cuenta con un mosquitero y es muy cómoda y también tenia hamaca para los aventureros. Aceptan mascotas hasta donde entendí ya que ellos se ofrecen a cuidar a tu perrito si vas a alguna ruina. Buena opción y hubiese querido tener más tiempo ahí. También tienen un jardín amplio con opción de acampar. Nos vemos en mayo!

Beatiful pool area in quaint town
Reviewed By charleswN3634ZMThis hotel is located in a seriously small town. Bring cash, as there is only 1 ATM and stores close early (compared to the USA). The pool could use some repairs but is still beautiful. I would stay here again

Les cabanes sont propres et spacieuses, les lits confortables, les douches un peu sommaires mais n’oubliez pas que vous êtes au milieu de nulle part ou presque :) le jardin est hyper agréable pour s’y relaxer après une bonne journée de marche sur le site de Calakmul ! Nous avons choisi ces cabanes car elles sont très proches de l’entrée pour Calakmul (2mn en voiture seulement !) et nous ne regrettons en rien ce choix car tout le reste était un +. Le petit déjeuner est compris et servi à l’heure qui nous convient. Nous avons également mangé notre repas du soir sur place, préparé par Sandra, et il était excellent !! Merci à eux deux pour leur gentillesse ! Nous recommandons cet endroit !

Reviewed By SrtaZeaHabitación totalmente diferente a lo que muestran en las imágenes, servicio deficiente por parte de la recepcionista, al tratar de pedir información acerca de tours no nos supo dar explicación alguna, así como tampoco estaba enterada sobre el servicio de renta de bicicletas en el hotel. El aire acondicionado goteaba y encontramos dos cucarachas paseando por los muebles. Cero recomendable.
