Interestingly, the property owner himself a birder and photographer. He is the ideal person to guide people who are coming for birding. GH has nice wall garden and bird houses. Food is good here. GH is at walkable distance from the sanctuary, but located little interior, first comers may struggle a bit to locate it. Tariff is reasonable. I recommend this property for birders needing cheap and best accommodation for longer stay. Advance booking is adviced.

Welcome to The Birder's Inn! This boutique lodge is just a mere stone's throw from the world famous Keoladeo Bird Sanctuary (only 300 meter walk). The lodge offers 23 spacious rooms that overlook a large private garden populated with fruit trees that attract various birds. The lodge also has a tasteful bird-inspired decor as the Owner is a well known local Naturalist and bird lover. The mogul inspired pink sandstone architecture gives the feeling of a mystic bygone era as you enjoy your stay. You have all the necessary modern comforts like air-conditioning, hot and cold running water; there is a multi-cuisine restaurant & grill that serves a delectable variety of dishes. During the winter there is a nightly bonfire in the garden to relax around after a long day of birding in the park.The Birder's Inn is run by some of the best local naturalists; people who were actually born inside the park!

Reviewed By ahujadamanThe place is walking distance from Bird sanctuary. The rooms are spacious, espcially washroom and dressing place. The rooms were neat and clean. Room service was good. The food was a little expensive and no options to look around for food.

Reviewed By bkgnonaDuring a brief birding trip to Chambal that was organised for me by my friends Praveen Vashistha and Peter Lobo, a night halt was organised at Hotel Sunbird, literally a stone’s throw distance from the signature sanctuary of Bharatpur, the Keoladeo National Park. With a view to give myself one evening session of visiting this famous park with the guide assigned to me for this Chambal trip, Ghanshyam Singh, I reached the hotel at about 2 p.m. Warmly received by the front office staff in a simple yet snug office, I was ushered to my room that turned out to be a wonderful mix of tradition and modernity. “Very spacious and pleasing” were my first thoughts as I entered the room. Floral artwork on the ceiling and the walls gave the room a royal character. The décor of the room was done in good taste yet subtle, the furniture was just perfect, linen freshly laundered and washroom squeaky clean. Staff of the hotel was very caring with the warmth that so characterises everything about Rajasthan. They were quick to respond to each and every one off your calls. Must compliment Mr Laxman Singh, the owner, for grooming the staff so well. Whenever I come back to Bharatpur, I am sure to come back to Hotel Sunbird as my chosen destination for the stay.

Since i was child i used to go to the bird sanctuary because it was close to my home. that time cattle are allowed in the bird sanctuary. i spend my whole day there , there i meet SALIM ALI one of the best birdwatcher in the world . i worked under him many years.After completed my studies i was attracted towards nature. then i got training from government of Rajasthan for the guide then i got my license and start working in bird sanctuary. After that i worked as a guide in all over India with the people of India, Bangladesh,Nepal as a tour guide. Now i am running a small home stay . i want people should come here so i can share my knowledge with them and my experience.

Reviewed By Amitava SI have not rated anyone as terrible etc ever. So let's call it a constructive criticism. Unfortunately there is nothing good to speak about Jungle Lodge. I quite appreciate the hard work & effort of Mr. Ashok Singh & his wife (an elderly couple) to run this homestay (as described by them). Both of them man & manage every activity. There isn't any other sole in the premises - be it maintenance, housekeeping, room service etc. This didn't seem be a feasible option to me. We reached the place around 9:30 pm. We had 3 strolley bags with us. We were booked in 2 rooms in 1st floor. The couple picked up the bags & went up the first floor. We felt bad - but we are senior citizens too. We couldn't have gone up the steep stair with the bags. I don't think if they employ required manpower, provide one small soap in the room & increase the tariff by Rs. 100 or 200, they will be out of business. Left to their prudence in this competitive market - I wish them all the best. May be they are targeting bag packers, low budget tourists. At least we won't visit them again. I have seen / stayed in several homestays in Sikkim, North east etc. Those are well equipped, manned, maintained & managed.

Reviewed By rajan51Hotel Udai Vilas Palace On the Bharatpur Fatehpur Sikri Main road just 2 Km from the bird sanctuary The hotel is a lovely place to stay with a garden in the front a courtyard and a swimming pool outside the rooms The rooms are spacious well equipped there are four rooms two on the ground floor and two on first floor with showers rest have bath tubs I was surprised in a place where there is shortage of water why do rooms have bathtubs on enquiring was told that before covid the hotel used to have lots of foreign tourist who prefer bathtubs . Water in the toilets is tubewell water and very hard used Mineral water to brush teeth. Two litres of mineral water are complimentary for more you have to pay Rs 100/-per litre we bought a crate of mineral water on the way before checking in. Food is good and reasonably priced but spicy by default Thanks to the restaurant manager Mr Ashok Chaudhary and his team waiter Krishna we got food to our taste and good service. House keeping is efficient thanks to Mr Rajeev who took good care Overall a very nice place to stay with great ambience and comfort Tariffs are slightly higher at hotel but if you show the tariff on travel sights you can get the same deal.

Reviewed By CedricN276Had stayed at this budget hotel in Bharatpur a long back ago. This hotel is located near the Central Bus Stand and close to Heeradas Circle. This hotel had a simple facade. It also had a narrow corridor. The rooms are small in size having basic amenities like bathroom, double bed, TV etc. The lobby and reception desk is small. It had a storage room for storing the luggage. There are some insects seen in this hotel. Now, this hotel is renovated having clean and spacious rooms, new reception desk, a new facade etc. The hotel service was good. This hotel is ideal for an overnight stay or a two day stay for families, couples as well as friends when in Bharatpur.

Reviewed By chitkarabaani9I just loved this heritage property. I stayed in suite room which was quiet spacious, along with a sitting area , a balcony and a Jacuzzi. The pool area was really beautiful having Greenery around. One could sit and chill there whole day. The staff is really good. Their service is so quick. pushpender ji, amit ji, Mukesh ji, vinod ji and ravinder ji all are really good staff. Would really reccomend this property.
