Reviewed By bev76From arriving to leaving we had a fabulous time, the location couldn't be any better, right on a gorgeous beach and a few minutes walk to a lovely selection of bars and tavernas. The room was more than adequate and extremely clean with the lovely maids coming in every day. The food in the restaurant was well cooked with plenty of choice,even for me and I'm a picky eater. The staff are so friendly and they never stop so well done to them. What can I say about the bar all the staff were friendly but a big shout out to Yannis it didn't matter what age you were he treated everyone the same, what a lovely and genuine young man. There was entertainment a few nights the Greek night being our favourite. To sum up would we go again definitely and would highly recommend for a relaxing laid back holiday.

Reviewed By chriscampingmanWe stopped here for lunch at valais bar and kitchen, the food was beautiful and the choice good. The staff were really friendly and great too, if your look ING for somewhere to eat that has great prices you won't go wrong here it also has a pool with sunbeds you can use for 6 euro adult and 3 euro for children.

Reviewed By JMJROBERTSWe have stayed in alykanas 7 times and first time letsos . We booked the deluxe family maisonette in the new block across the road with the separate pool . Had a shower on arrival , water smelt very metallic , the run on the tiles meant that the water ran out under the door and under the bed directly outside . We quickly grabbed towels to mop it up and noticed the towels were brown . Also the towel we dried with was turning brown ? Spoke to reception they were very polite and sent people over . Took the towels away , apologised and agreed to move rooms . We did this the next day . There was no change at all in the water situation by moving rooms . There was no point moving again as it seemed to be a block issue . We Spoke to balcony neighbours who said she had same issues . We agreed to get on with the holiday , and make sure we kept our mouths shut when showering . We know you cannot drink the water in Greece but you expect to be clean after the shower and not drinking of metal and getting dirtier . We rinsed some swimwear whilst there and my god , it turned brown . Cleaning was debatable . I think it depended on who you got . We were facing the hotel and had 2 maids . None of which EVER swept the balcony or wiped the table or the surfaces inside etc . Stains on some sheets . We saw a different cleaner on her own on the pool side rooms same block and ever day she swept Balcony and even the glass panels and roof panels so clearly a difference in standards . Same with the deluxe pool , it was not washed down as same drink stains on day 1 to day 9. We don’t mind noise or partying ourselves , but the noise around the main pool was going on until 4 am. I think they are heating this hotel towards the young ones - they have a dj set which starts at 9.30pm around the pool until early hours . There were some reports or kids in the pool at that time . We noticed the resort had lots of young groups this time , never seen this before . Nothing wrong with that at all . I think due to being able to get the basic rooms as such a great price , it is attracting the young ones. Some of the local restaurant owners we eat at regularly said a variety of comments when they asked where we were staying this time . Letsos hotel , the dirty hotel , another said , hotel treats everyone like animals , and another said the owner is out to market the hotel to the laganas youngsters coming for long weekends etc . Even in the deluxe block quite a few younger groups . My husband came home from the beach and hung our towels out and below us , in a private pool , were a couple naked doing what looked like the business in their pool … at 5 o’clock . The good parts are the new pool area , staff around there are great , polite and friendly . Last year we visited just for drinks in the evening and it was chilled atsmosphere , now it has totally changed . You have to like loud music all day long though , avoid sitting next to a speaker . On quite a few occasions they played explicit music where I can imagine parents having to cover the younger ones ears . We tended to stick to our pool in the new block. Food is lovely quality in the pool bar . Cocktails however are the most expensive in the resort ,Some tipping 14 euros . Overall the water issues what ruined it for us, nothing worse than going out smelling of metal . We love alykanas and alykes and stayed at the village , beach , Maria’s , Danny’s and loved them all , but sadly won’t be returning the the letsos .

Reviewed By U4778HHjohnrThis was my first time to Greece which ive heard its basic which i didnt mind so much but this was beyond! The room we had the plaster on the wall looked like it hadnt finished plastering leaving it rough and actually affected my breathing! The bed was a concrete base with a mattress on top not very comfortable, the bathroom was damp plaster not tiled, the front door frame was warped so you couldn't shut it properly so not secure. Spoke to a woman few rooms down said the same thing and being on her own was concerned her front door wouldn't shut properly either! The host Sakis is a nice guy always smiling , even the food was nice and the pool , just a shame the rooms were not up to scratch, good for the party or backpacking people looking for somewhere to flop out i guess rather than comfort.

Reviewed By aimeefergueReception team are condescending and rude. Food was awful. Bartenders at the hotel bar don’t know how to make a cocktail! I spent so much staying there for a week for what?! Security guard just sleeps on the sofa doesn’t really do their job. Rooms are awful. The shower isn’t even a proper shower, and the water is always freezing cold. Do not recommend to anyone. If you want a nice experience - go else where!

Reviewed By E7907UZmariolIn 2021 we just had a wonderful two-months stay in Alykanas between June 15 - July 15 and September 1 - September 30 at Villa Mantalena, a pleasant hotel with perfect location: sandy beach, boat rental and water sports at 150m, tourist port at 300m, Alykanas center 300m, horse riding at 50m, bicycle rental at 200m, supermarket at 250m, medical center and pharmacy 400m. The rooms have private bathroom with independent hot water supply, fully equipped kitchen, balcony, flat TV, free air conditioning, safety box and WI-FI. The garden, at the front of the hotel, with large parking, are very nice with many flowers and trees, include a covered patio as a suplimentary space, if you want to relax outside. The owners Tassos and Maria were kind and helpful. The family is absolutely wonderful and makes you feel very welcome. I can't thank Tassos enough for his help in difficult situations, but also for Greek lessons combined with jokes and good cheer. Ευχαριστώ πάρα πολy! I was impressed by the fact that daily all the rooms was cleaned by Maria, even if the rooms were not occupied. The owners also have a Greek restaurant “Mantalena” on the main road. The Mantalena” is a family owened restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere and very good food with plenty of choices that include delicious traditional food served by chef Tassos, Maria and Yannis, with smiles and hearts wide open. Every time we return to Villa Mantalena, we feel that we are returning to our second home. I recommend this hotel to the tourists who apreciate more the relationships between people and friendship than other more superficial things in life. In Greece I feel at home, it is a nice country with friendly people, with beautiful traditions and a special history and culture, which I respect very much. We will definitely be back again next summer. Thank you Tassos and Maria for this wonderful holiday!

Apartments are wonderful, modern, exceptionally clean and the owners are always on hand should you need them. My apartment was equipped with everything i needed for an enjoyable stay A 2 minute stroll to the beach and a 10 minute stroll to the village where a variety of bars & restaurants can be found I can't recommend these apartments enough

Only 250 metres from Alykes Beach, Thetis is quietly located amidst a 2,000-m2 area of lush greenery. It features a restaurant and offers self-catered accommodation with a balcony. Reviewed By 579gillianmBest apartment in Alykanas we've stayed in so far. We were upgraded to the top apartment. 2 bedrooms. Large living area. Massive balcony. Great views. Great location. Cleaned to a high standard each day. Only negative was the music playing in the restaurant below from 8.30am each morning. Think they only had one cd as it would repeat all day long ? I would highly recommend staying here. And hopefully we will return to stay here again ??
