When we were there, I was thinking of my dear old mother and wanted to get her a comfy big room to stay during our recent trip up north. My family and me in the other room. Thankfully, we got the connecting rooms. Well, what else can I say abt this hotel? My wife asked me to put up the 2 yucky photos from the bathroom. The rest you can imagine yourself. I like to think of the potentials and opportunities. Why are hotels in Japan (big, small, budget or luxury) are always very clean and so liveable in? Because the folks there care and genuinely has the passion to make it work for them, for the hotel and for the visitors of course. Grand Alora, you are a big sized hotel and should be the pride of the North in Malaysia. But you are not because of these missed opportunities. Be passionate and really think how you guys can make this work, and therefore change the perceptions of the public. You can if you want to. Thank you.

Sufficient and accessible parking space. Good service. They provide prayer room for muslim to pray. Well maintain establishment. Overall very satisfied.

Reviewed By 222yahoo22That was my first thought, the moment i entered my room. Really great value. Much better than I expected, almost like a mini Aloft Hotel. The room was clean, spacious and cosy. AC, hot shower, hair dryer, pillow, all good and they provide toothbrush, too. Maybe they can improve on the bed linen/blanket cause I don't think it smells fresh. Towels good. I actually need to visit Alor Setar again and booked elsewhere. No second thought, I cancelled that booking and reserved another stay here.

Reviewed By Khid2I booked Fuller Hotel from booking.com while im in Alor Setar Kedah for a few days trip. How regret and upset i felt soon i reached at the lobby. Lobby was small and theres 2 receptionist at the table sitting like a prince and princess. No smile ( oh wearing mask - but you can smile with your eyes), not even a words , hi , hello or welcome to Fuller Hotel!!! So i went to the princess table her, maybe he name of Fifie, to check in. She/ he maybe, was showing her arrogant behavior towards me, when I ask hi, you dont say hi to your guest, she just rolled up her / his eyes and straight away asked me ‘You ada booking?” Not even address me as Ms, Madam or , use the words please , may I know.. Then, “ IC card!” ?, so I gave her my National ID, she/he took it , not even say thank you When i asked her/him about restaurant, or other facilities , the answer will be “NO”, NO... and finally she /he said “this is budget hotel!!!” Almost shouting at me... And the unpleasant attitude, behavior continues .. not once she said thank you when i handover cards and money for the check in process. What an arrogant, rude attitude this person has towards guests Fuller hotel you only spoilt your reputation by having non trained staff to be at the counter , representing your hotel.. this FIFIe, she/he is not an asset she/he a liability to your hotel. Its a hospitality industry, budget hotel, 3 stars, 4 stars , 5 stars or 6 stars or 1000000 stars properties all only have 1 culture, hospitality culture, smile and greet , talk and having a right attitude. This FIFie , Omg! Her/ his attitude only will bring shame to your name.

Reviewed By SarahT6197Besides the convenient location, it didn't live up to the good reviews. Cleanliness and basic facilities such as the air-conditioning were questionable. Our blankets have stain, cups and glasses were dusty and we had to endure the noisy air-condition for the 1st night. When they changed our room the next day, they had failed to inform us - We came back to find our luggage missing. The day shift staffs were not friendly, they completely ignore anyone that walk pass the reception, no greetings or a simple smile to acknowledge. Hope the management will put in effort to improve the hotel as it does have potential. For now, we have decided that we would not come back as they are many more hotels nearby.

Bad Service .. No Sense of Hospitality
Reviewed By m3gatzi was your long stay guests. i stayed for 8 nights. the management should really look into the cleanliness of the room. i do understand that we're under MCO before this, but the management shouldn't neglect room cleanliness. because of the cleanliness, my baby got ring worm infection. the F&B also need to be train again. never ever forget what is in your menu and make the guests wait for their orders especially room service order. i ordered Nasi Goreng Cakar Rimau set if I not mistaken. the set comes with drink. unfortunately when they send it to my room, there is no drink. i go down to restaurant and asked if there is any drink for the set, and the staff they said yes. i noticed that there are not feel responsible for what happened. hello ..!! I'm your in-house guests and a long stay guests. please have a bit of hospitality sense. there is one incident that i will never forget. the menu if I'm not forget is Dara Pujaan set. it basically half boiled eggs. i ordered two times. the 1st one coming without bread. the second one was the worse. they give me raw eggs for the set. so, after that incident, i decided to order from outside. i have ordered a few meals from Food Panda and i asked for plate from the restaurant. they give me plastic fork and spoon which is in my opinion it's not really appropriate. the staff who answered the phone should be more polite. the way they not to say rude, but then more to unfriendly. reception also need to be more alert. since the hotel allowed food delivery from 3rd party, the reception need to show a good customer service by calling the guests room to pickup the package. it's a good gesture. no harm to do that. i stayed on 4th floor. the maid for 4th floor was very good and helpful. i forgot to asked her name. i hope the management look seriously into their service. don't embarrass PKNK

Good for overnight stay
Reviewed By ZM Mstop by for an overnight stay, firstly got the room on the third floor, NO LIFT, was told that due to particular online booking, room given has no lift. If you want a room with lift access, pay extra. Then the room was big, spacious but Air Conditioner was not working. Staff came over, checked, and offered change of room, one floor lower. But the funny things was that we were told to go back down three flights to reception just to get the new key. Why cant the staff bring it to us. Second room ok. but scary as the window was out of its alignment. Informed reception but again no similar rooms so had to stay put. Not sure if would like to come back. there are many hotels in town to choose from.

Reviewed By EllMarzukiThe carpet is so dirty. I saw some dirty spots on my room carpet. The environment feels so old and not good. The staff doesn't seem to be happy with any smile on their faces. Yellowish water when I use the bathtub. Doesn't have room service. Some lamp switches not working. They use digital touch switches. Seem to look futuristic but not working. Totally not useful. The breakfast is good.
