Uncomfortable stay
Reviewed By Sherpa668188First of all, the mattress here was horrible. After I picked my bed, sat on it, and immediately was shocked at how poor it was, I quickly sat on a couple of others and they were just as bad. They are way too soft and saggy, to the point where you can feel the springs. I didn't sleep well most nights because of that. In addition, the main dorm is right next to the street. The hostel's location right next to the cathedral, so from the very early hours you hear the bell chiming and well as lots of traffic and people outside. There's no noise isolation whatsoever - the doors to the juliet balconies barely close, and that's it. The WiFi was very inconsistent - sometimes it worked well, and others it would barely work at all. The lockers under the beds are keyed, so you can't use your own lock, but the person working there couldn't even find the key for my locker! So that was useless. And I reported that one of the two outlets by my bed didn't work, and nothing was done over several days to fix it. It seems from the reviews that this is one of the better hostels in Zacatecas and, if that's true, I shudder to think what the others are like. The hostel was kept clean and inside the hostel it was quiet, but there were too many problems for me to really enjoy my stay here.

Were left humiliated
Reviewed By Anton BWe told the staff at this hostel that there were bedbugs in our room and asked to move to a different room. We were shocked and surprised when instead they said there are no bedbugs take your money back and leave. When we asked if there was another room available to move to, they said no, clearly wanting us to get out as soon as possible. We did not accept the refund they offered. We've never been treated so rudely in hotels before.

Reviewed By maria-aresSuper ubicado, a un precio excelente y la gente muy amable. A dos cuadras de la catedral en el centro de zacatecas. Puedes escoger habitación con baño privado o dormitorio con baño común. Las habitaciones muy grandes, tv con cable, algunas con cocineta, comedor y terraza!, el hostal en general tiene cocina, sala de estar y de tv, wi-fi, etc.... Las habitaciones limpias, estuve muy a gusto y volveré, gracias!. Muy recomendable para conocer la Cd sin gastar ya que los hoteles en general estan caros en Zacatecas y uno anda fuera del hotel todo el día. En época alta hay que reservar con tiempo(1mes)ya que suele estar lleno.

Hostal is located to 350 mts of Cathedral, closer Hostal are: - Cathedral - Mercado Jesus Gonzalez Ortega - Pedro Coronel Museum - Fototeca Pedro Valtierra - Manuel M . Ponce Museum - Teatro Calderon - Plazuela Francisco Goitia - Restaurants - Shop stores To reach to Hostel : From bus station take route 8 bus and get off at Cathedral (avg time 15-20 minutes), then walk around Cathedral and walk behind for 3-4 minuetes through C. Del Ángel until arrive El Hobbiton. To get downtown from Hostel: Just need to walk to Cathedral around 3 to 5 minutes.

Reviewed By El0iNEven if staff (owners) are not always in the hostal they seems dedicated to give good service and infos to travelers place is small but cozy,I was able to park my motorcycle on the street in front of the hostal. Appreciate the morning coffee.

Great vibe and perfect location
Reviewed By Kyle FThe location could not be better - right on the main square. We got our own room which had 2 double beds for some reason. Very simple and clean. Breakfast is great! The staff are also very friendly and hospitable.
