Location is very good. Also the staff was nice. There is a beautiful garden that is good to chill. The place is dirty. Not enough bathroom for the quantity of beds. For me, it seems that no one care about the hostel, maybe too many people with few resposabilities. Also the staff made a lot of noise on the bedroom (the ones who are living there), like they were at their own houses. There is no "travel people mood", it seems a place with no owner. I would never come back.

Back at the hotel, stop by the on-site local market - Mercado del Carmen - full of local brands and little treasures, before the sun sets over Guadalajara to the tune of local mariachi music.
The hotel has a really great location , close to everything , basically you wont need to take a car to go for a breakfast , beer or something. The hotel is full of art and nice spots to enjoy. Rooms are confy and clean.

Hostel del Refugio located two blocks away from the Refugio Church in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Guadalajara. From there you can move easily around the city, near to the historic area in downtown, University of Guadalajara rectoy, the San Juan de Dios city market, Centro Magno shopping mall & the coffee shops and galerias area in Chapultepec avenue.
This place was under construction. The rooms are clean but the host was not friendly. She greeted us with an angry tone when we knocked instead of ringing the doorbell which we could not see and she remained rude throughout our stay of 3 days and 2 nights. We did enjoy the walking to the city cemetery which took about 15 minutes. We felt safe. If the host had been friendly this hostel would be a greater recommendation by us

The Blue Pepper Hostel was a great time. I met a lot of other very cool travelers. We had an excellent time hanging out in the hostel in their common rooms. The staff was helpful. Especially Katia. She worked the bar the night before, and then 24 hours straight in the Hostel. What a super awesome girl. She made everyone feel at home. Definitely stay here if you're coming to Guadalajara.

Enjoy a pleasant stay in an atmosphere of youth and rest.Hostel Lit with enterely new intalations and a modern decoration offers capacity for 75 guests, showers with hot water 24 hrs., Guest kitchen, terrace, comfortable private rooms, semi-private or shared dorms.
Overall, I had a great experience. Though they do not have air rooms, it was not too hot as a fan is provided. Breakfast was good and the bed was very comfortable. My only issue is I had the room with the private bathroom/shower and the room smelled of mildew. The smell was very strong but only after a shower.

Casa Vilasanta was a wonderful experience. The staff are kind, friendly, and outgoing. Other guests are fun and polite. The rooms were clean, the water is hot, and they have a chess board for chess with your friends. It is located near parks, a cathedral, and a coffee shop. You can walk to the center of the city.

I decided to travel in Covid season. What an amazing experience we had in Bohostel. Walking distance to all the bars and restaurants. Located in a safe area to walk at night. The establishment is modern, decoration is an point, and the staff is great. Our suite was clean, hot water, spacious, with a balcony view. The lovely terrace offers a great vibe to meet other travelers, and enjoy complementary breakfast. Also, there are plenty of bathrooms around the bathroom, laundry service, shared kitchen and stunning views to the whole city. Highly recommended. The rate is perfect for travelers.

Definitely look elsewhere! I arrived in Guadalajara late at night due to flight delays and hosts were unfriendly, did not honor the agreed upon price, was overcharged and only stayed ONE uncomfortable night on a rock hard bottom bunk bed. Did not unpack, woke up early due to very poor sleep and immediately booked another hostel. I asked for assistance getting an Uber and this was VERY reluctantly provided. These owners should absolutely NOT be in the hospitality business! Building outside covered in graffiti. No excuse. Pick up a paint brush!
