We are located in the old city square in Chiang Mai and features a spacious common area with pool table, a large projector screen, food vending machine, microwaves and fast and free WIFI in all areas. Amazing hostel with world-class staff
Reviewed By Trail634376The Common Hostel is amazing. The building is modern and well maintained, with a welcoming lobby and front patio. The private rooms are very spacious and include everything you need for a comfortable stay. The hostel is located next to a nice cafe/restaurant, and there are numerous options well within walking distance. The staff at this hostel are some of the kindest and most helpful people I have ever met in my life. On my second day, I was involved in a motorcycle accident that resulted in serious injuries. Paul, Tina, and the evening receptionist (I didn’t catch her name) all went above and beyond to help me work through the process with the parties involved. Paul helped me make numerous calls over the two days, and I’m not sure what I would have done without his help. Paul and Tina both provided invaluable advice and helped put my mind at ease about how to handle the situation that I was currently facing. The evening receptionist went out of her way to help me get much-needed bandages from the local pharmacy and provided me with a number to call if I needed anything. I will forever be grateful for the staff at The Common Hostel. If you are ever in Chiang Mai, I hope you consider staying here. There is no doubt in my mind that you will enjoy your stay. If I could give this property 10 stars, I would. To the staff, thank you again for all of your help!

Reviewed By Gimmick_BigMy private room with own bathroom on 4th floor was nice however bathroom was a bit small and narrow. Thus, liquid soap and shampoo wasn't good. But it is not a big deal. Good Location indeed. Staff is friendly and helpful I'd like to stay again for my next trip. ;)

Did not get the rooms we ordered
Reviewed By KevenbakWe did not get the rooms we ordered because they were double booked. Instead they gave us worse rooms and thought we would just be okay with it. They also mixed our all of our laundry together and the clothes we Got back were not clean at all.

Oxotel is renovated from the abandon shop-house form 70's locates in cultural area of silver cluster artisan near the old city. With some vintage decorate elements such as vent blocks, vintage panels, expanded metal doors and old style stair railing, Mr. Pooritat Kunurat (Poo), one of our owners who is our lead designer, remained the elements and did demolition to bring the identity of vintage building for outstand hostel and respected to context area. The bathroom building has been built near the main building to avoid an overload of the old one. All areas are flow with air and light. We brought some part of expanded metal doors that they removed from front doors in many parts of the building skin and bring a garden to our common area. Wood, steel and concrete are main material combined with contemporary style loose furniture for easy maintenance. We focused on self-service which is familiar for travelers and easy for our management.

This is the place to hire a bike in Chiang Mai
Reviewed By Helenatravis1My boyfriend and I stayed in one of the rooms at Like Home. We were treated with such care and hospitality. Nuy was so welcoming and so kind to us throughout. She always had a wonderful smile and a great sense of humor! Like Home is located just A short walk from the old town. Included with the room was a bike, breakfast and dinner. The food was very nice and there was plenty of it! We had a slight issue with our bike so Nuy, without hesitation, drove to our location to change our bike for no extra cost. We spent a few days up in Pai midway through our stay with Nuy, so she took it upon herself to get the oil changed and got the bike looked at to make sure it was fit for the long journey. Nuy and her husband speak good English so there was no miscommunication. I would absolutely recommended renting a bike from Like Home, staying there, or both! We will certainly be visiting again when we are next in Chiang Mai.

Reviewed By Chris-in-thailandI arrived after a long day riding my motorbike and finding rude and unhelpful staff at different hotels. The lady at reception was a breath of fresh air, showed me the room and made check in as easy as possible. All the staff i met there were very polite and helful.
