Agriturismo Antonelli Piangevino

In the countryside, between Monopoli and castellana Grotte, there are Villa Antonelli and Casina Piangevino, not far from the sea and the most important centers of the Itria Valley: Ostuni, Cisternino, Martina Franca, Alberobello and many more yet. Villa Antonelli consists of two distinct parts: the central structure and the chapel with a tower. The period of construction dates back to the second half of eighteenth century. A date, 1763, carved on the lintel of the entrance door of the chapel is an important refernce. A belfry with bell bronze surmounts the central front of the main body lining the driveway. The farm is now a relaxing resort, which is situated on a hill surrounded by greenery, with a pleasant grove easily walkable. Casina Piangevino is an old place to enjoy the pleasure of the lovable simplicity, slowness, the perfume of a generous and full of charm, among trulli, olive trees, vineyards and stone walls,a few kilometers from the sea. Spending an holiday at Casina Piangevino will allow you to know and appreciate organic products: extra virgin olive oil, cherries, figs, apricots, lemons, oranges and tangerins.

Amazing place, 10/10!!!

We are currently staying at Sorelle Barnaba and we are having an amazing time! The room is very spacious, the pool is amazing with very relaxing and comfortable sunbeds, the breakfast is very extensive and delicious and most importantly, the dinner here at the restaurant is fantastic! Very nice people and they always want to give you that little bit extra. You can also enjoy a little drink at the pool in the afternoon which we very much liked. Situation is perfect as well, within 10 minute drive you are at the beach. All in all a 10/10 and we would definitely come back!!!

Agriturismo Masseria Del Crocifisso

Beautiful building, generally basic, underwhelmed

Reviewed By DontPark

The property itself is absolutely gorgeous, rooms are generously sized and immaculate in cleanliness and decor. Lovely and quiet. Shower is hot. It was busy hosting a large first communion party when we arrived which was splendid to see although made it a bit difficult to get checked in. Food and drink were very basic, neither the range nor quality was thrilling. Asked for some items to be refilled at breakfast and they were indeed without delay. Similarly we were really underwhelmed by dinner at the Masseria which is a shame as there are many delicious options in Polignano which we would have taken advantage of had we known! It doesn't feel like a place you can catch someone to get a coffee or a drink which means you don't get much to chance to enjoy the beautiful setting. Location is tricky if you like a glass of wine while out and about as it’s difficult to get back to from Polignano without driving

So lovely!

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in April. It was a beautiful, tranquil place and we enjoyed our evening strolls amongst the olive and almond trees. Rooms were very quiet, very comfortable and clean. Breakfasts were delicious- gorgeous portions of fresh fruit, omelettes and cake! We had dinner here each night and were fortunate to be there for the Easter lunch. These meals were a highlight of our holiday. The care and attention given by Francesco in the kitchen was amazing and the food was excellent. The owner and in particular, her husband were very welcoming and full of useful information. With a car , it is well situated for visiting Bari, Trani, Matera, and Alta Mura.

Agriturismo Casina dei Preti

The Country Inn « Casina dei Preti » is an old farm of XVII century placed on a hill at 6 km far from the sea. Recently the stables have been transformed into the restaurant. At our clients’ disposal there are 10 rooms, a suite and an apartment, all with period furnitures, a private bathroom, televison, frigobar. All rooms have air-conditioning.Within the structure there’s a huge garden with two swimming-pools, one for adults and one for children equipped with whirlpool bath in a very scenographic setting. There’s also a big parking. Nearby : Conversano, a medieval village, Castellana with its popular caves, Polignano a Mare with its striking coasts and the quaint “Trulli” of Alberobello.

First of all, the outdoors and swimming pool are gorgeous and an ideal location for ultimate relaxation. However, we experienced some negative points during our stay. 1) Every day at 6.30 a.m. the gardener came to sweep the pathway in front of our room. The sound of the brush on the concrete woke us every single morning this early. Is it really necessary that this happens at this time? 2) During our 7 day stay, there were 3 events. With children shouting and playing, it was impossible to relax in our room. I'm not blaming the kids, I just don't think events should be held when the hotel is open. 3) The shower head doesn't stay at the desired height anymore, the mechanism for keeping it up is broken. Also, the sink plug. 4) The dog of the owners that could be barking for an hour non-stop. 5) We had dinner the first night in the hotel. The lady just puts the food before your nose without saying anything. Something like: what am I eating, buon appetito... Where did these basic gestures of politeness go??? 6) The rule that everyone is assigned a fixed table. This rule felt to me like being in high school. There were such nice tables in sun but we couldn't enjoy having the breakfast there because of this rule. This sure had nothing to do with Covid-19 as friends of mine went to the Mercure in Bari and there they didn't had such rule and the breakfast was in buffet style. 7) The worst part: breakfast. This is seriously the worst breakfast I have ever encountered. First of all, the staff at breakfast seems to be having a hard time saying 'buongiorno' apparently. At some days, the bread was so hard (at least two days old) I was wondering if they were serving breakfast for dogs or human beings? Also the pastries were reused several days, with some powdered sugar on top of it to make it 'look' fresh. On Monday 13/09 we received coffee that was lukewarm, and it tasted more like water rather than coffee. I am sure these were some leftovers from the event the day before, as were the pastries and cakes. It was also on that Monday 13/09 that the lady of the breakfast didn't even understand the word 'bread'. It is too much to ask in a hotel for some basic English??? Moreover, it could take up to 5 minutes before someone showed up and another 15 minutes to show up with coloured water that had to represent coffee.
