Lovely hotel overlooking the sea
Reviewed By Karen HSpent a lovely week in Skiathos at this lovely hotel. When we arrived we carried our cases up the stairs to reception but no one was about. However once someone appeared we were greeted very well and were offered a nice welcome drink at the bar which was made by Alex the hotel manager. I must say the staff are great here and a special mention goes to Maria who was always happy and very helpful. The pool area was lovely and as the hotel had just opened it wasn't busy and there was always a sun bed available. Towels were provided which was a nice touch. The room was a suite with a big balcony over looking the sea with a lovely view of the town which is about 10-15 mins walk away. There were 114 steps up to our room and although fine for us, this hotel would not be suitable for older guests. Our room very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. It was a little hit and miss if we got our tea and coffee replenished and on a couple of occasions we only had one towel between the 2 of us and no toilet roll left on one occasion. On 2 occasions a cleaning rag was left in the bathroom. The biggest area for improvement however would be the breakfast service. Sometimes you waited quite a while to be asked if you wanted tea and coffee and for the order to be taken, On other days this was done quickly but then we were given the wrong order or someone else's order. The toaster didn't really work and they had to change the coffee machine during that week also. Not sure why all these things were not tested the week before the hotel opened? In summary - this is a great little hotel in a good location but the breakfast service just needed to be organised a lot better which I am sure will improve as the season goes on.

The Azalea-studios Is A Family Bussness With Many Years Experience. Only E Few Meters From Ftelia Beach.[end Of Megali Ammos Beach.] Out Of The Town And Very Close To The Town. You Can Go To The Town By Walking. From Skiathos Airport The Distance Is Only 1,5 Kilometre.[10 Minutes By Taxi.] From Skiathos Port The Distance Is Only 1 Kilometer. The Garden Is Full Of Olive Threes And Nice Flowers. We Have Studios And Family Apartments. The Studios Is For 2 Or 3 Persons. The Family Apartment For 4 Persons. All The Rooms Have Big Balconies With Sea View-kitchens-t.v.-air. Conditions- Wc.-coffee Machine-freeze. Free Parking With Out Reservation - And Free Wi-fi . In Front Of The Azalea-studios There Is A Beach Bar With Coffees-snacks-sandwiches-soft Drinks-beers-salads-ice Creams-and Very Nice Coctails. Ombrelles And Sun Chairs. Next To Ftelia Beach Is Megali Ammos Beach. There You Can Find A Lot Of Tavernas With Greek Cuzine-bars-and Ski School. We Are Between 5 And 6 Bus Station.
Azalea, A superb experience!
Reviewed By bagtogoOur experience with Azalea Studios can be simply described as SUPERB! From the minute we landed at Skiathos airport till the day we left (5 days) there was nothing to complain about. At the airport, a nice French gentleman named Thierry met us and drove us (free of charge. The tip is up to you, but needless to say, it is a gesture of kindness) to the office where we met Nina. The lady is so helpful, nice, and easy to talk to. Nina upgraded our accommodation to a 2-room apartment with a balcony for the same price we paid for a studio without a view. At the apartment, we enjoyed the quietude and the cleanliness, and the feeling of a "village" the Azalea layout gives. An open beach is just across the road. For a better and serviced beach, you can walk only 10 minutes to a sandy beach with sunbeds and umbrellas and many cafes and restaurants which offer different kinds of food and cuisines. Skiathos town is 15-18 minutes walking from Azalea. If you ever made it to Skiathos, Azalea should be your first choice of accommodation to check up on.

Set in the green-covered area of Palaiokastro, Pansion Pandora offers self-catering accommodation with mountain-view balcony. Megali Ammos beach is within walking distance of the premises. All studios are modernly furnished and air conditioned. They have a well-equipped kitchenette with fridge and feature a TV, hairdryer and safe. A private bathroom is standard. The centre and harbor of Skiathos town are just a 10-minute walk from the hotel. Within a 3-minute walk, guests of Pansion Pandora can also reach a bus stop. Staff can assist with car and bike rental, and free, on-site parking is provided.
Exceeded expectations
Reviewed By AthinaM_AlUsually accommodation in islands like Skiathis is not a good value for money deal but luckily this was not the case with Pandora Studios. The price was reasonable, the owner was super friendly and helpful with everything, while the room was spacious, well-equipped and always clean. It was truly a 10min walk to the port, and also near bus station no. 3 for the beaches. The bakery that was close by was great as well. We would happily stay again!

Reviewed By starfl0werJust wanted to say a massive THANK YOU to Anya and Annie at Mimoza Studios for looking after us so well when our flight was cancelled due to a hurricane. Our first time in Skiathos and almost the whole week was spoiled by hurricane Zorba. Torrential rain, gale force winds, dark, cold and damp, it was not the holiday we had so looked forward to. When our return flight was cancelled and we were stuck at the airport, having been told (incorrectly, as it turned out) that we couldn't return to our apartment, Anya and her English friend Annie opened their doors to about 20 of us who were all flight only customers of Thomas Cook. The Mimoza had actually just closed for the end of the season, but they opened up, welcomed us all in and made sure everyone was comfortable and warm. Annie also went out of her way the next day to find out for us what was going on and when our return flight had been rescheduled for, enabling us all to grab a couple of hours in the sunshine which had finally returned after eluding us all week. I can't thank them enough for their hospitality, good humour and reassurance to a bunch of tired, stressed and cold, damp holiday makers in our time of need. THANK YOU so much, ladies, for everything you did for us xxx

Reviewed By M385LPchristophermI stayed here for just one night, as I had a flight the next day. It's a bit of a walk from the port and town if you don't have a car. Close to airport, so can be a bit noisy during day but will be quiet/peaceful at night. Liked Lefteris & his mother.

Reviewed By MaryAnnDorsetWhat a perfect find…lovely studio, friendly hosts and the best views of Skiathos town, we’ve stayed here first in 2020 and then again in 2021….we will be back in 2022…our favourite place to stay on the island. The road up is steep, not an issue if you hire a car and taxis are reasonably priced .

Reviewed By LiveinMarmarisFirstly if you don't want to climb a steep hill this is not the place for you... I have just come home from one of the BEST solo holidays I have ever had. George collected me from the airport, and did a quick tour of town, then it was uphill all the way.. The sea view rooms have an amazing view of the airport, and harbour, they are tastefully decorated with fridge and hob, the bathroom is clean, with shower, the linen is changed every other day, and rooms are cleaned daily. The location is peaceful, with the bus station and large supermarket within a 5 minuite walk. I would love to stay there again. Thank you George and staff for a memorable stay.

A fab little find
Reviewed By SandS16Just returned from a lovely holiday at the Ritsa. Rooms were comfy with lots of storage and hanging space for clothes. Small kitchen area and bathroom. The room was kept spotless. These studios are in a perfect location, 5 mins to Papadiamanti street, 2 mins from a supermarket and yet in a quiet and peaceful setting. Lovely little pool but only used on first day. Absolutely perfect and will return again.
