Reviewed By 853barryOur experience was so so! Firstly,we advised them in advance that we would arrive there,from Rome at 6pm. We had yet to buy a sim card,so could not call them....there was no-one there ! We were able to get access to the lobby,by someone else leaving...their office was empty. A kind neighbour took pity on us and phoned the co...eventually someone showed up! Hint...have your phone ready...as access is difficult if the office is unoccupied. Secondly,WIFI was very poor,we had to go to restaurants for reliable WIFI. Perfect location for exploring Palermo. Room was ok,but the 'breakfast' that was included....turned out to be 2 frozen snacks in the freezer....that would be replaced each day.. We passed and ate out.! It was well priced...but not too attractive. Few restaurants close by,had to walk a little way into the centre to find a decent place to eat. Have seen previous reviews of 'friendly and willing staff'......well,they were pretty much absent when we stayed there!

Clean and perfect location
Reviewed By PitgsI stayed there with 2 friends for few days mid June and we loved the place. Sandro welcomed us and showed us the apartment with his fluent English. Even tho is in the heart of the city is very easy to find the parking very close to the accommodation. The apartment was clean and it had AC available. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Central location modern budget hotel
Reviewed By David BStayed for 3 nights during a tour of Sicily. The room was clean and modern with good facilities. The shower was very small, about 600mm x 600mm, so not very much room for an average adult. There was no safe in the room, nor at reception, I was informed the hotel was very secure so didn't need it! The issue I had was that the room keycard had the room number on it, which I found very strange and not secure. The breakfast area was clean and had a good range of cakes, croissants, ham & cheese etc although the coffee machine only worked about 50% of the time. There was no lounge or bar and no restaurant for evening meals, however it wasn't more than 10 minutes walk form a lively street with plenty of bars and restaurants. In all a good location for exploring Palermo. It is primarily used as student location for nearby university so there are many youngsters staying there.

Residence Hotel Gloria is a long term residence not a hotel. The room they rent as a hotel room smells bad.
Reviewed By Victort872The management rented their only empty room # 101 and when I went into the room there was a strong industrial cleaner or detergent smell. I left my baggage and when going out told the management about the smell. It was difficult to be in the room and when I showered it smelled like sewage or feces. I told the manager again and they put some air deodorant in the bathroom and I left the day after.

Reviewed By elenagarcia75Really bad experience. Arriving in Palermo after 19:00 h, because of the roads in Sicily are really bads, and the owner didn´t want to wait for us. I had already paid the accomodation and they didn´t give me the money back. So that, paid and not used, and we had to look for other accomodation in Palermo late in the night. Fabulous hosts and a great apartment
Reviewed By WaywindThis is a lovely little flat, well set up, right in the very heart of old Palermo. Our hosts were gorgeous people and were simply outstanding, well beyond merely being helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay more enjoyable and comfortable. On our last day, when normally we would have needed to check out at 11 am or 1 pm at the latest, they knew we were due to catch a ferry leaving from Palermo late that night. They allowed us to use one of their apartments which had no booking for that night, until mid afternoon and then, accepting no payment for it, they collected our luggage, drove us to the ferry wharf, parked and escorted us to where we needed to go. Make sure you take their advice on restaurants. We could not recommend this B & B and the marvellous hosts: Enzo, Giusy and their daughter Giuliana, more highly.

Reviewed By SaltpilgrimΜικρό οίκημα, όπως τα περισσότερα στο ιστορικό κέντρο. Τριώροφο, σε μικρή πλατεία, που έχει και ελεύθερο πάρκινγκ, αν βέβαια πετύχεις θέση. Μείναμε στο 2ο όροφο. Είχε κωδικούς ασφαλείας για να ανοίγεις και μας φάνηκε ιδιαίτερα ασφαλές και ήσυχο. Είμασταν τέσσερις και βολευτήκαμε καλά, αφού είχε υπνοδωμάτιο με διπλό κρεβάτι και διπλό καναπέ-κρεβάτι για τα παιδιά. Είχε τα βασικά, χωρίς όμως ιδιαίτερες πολυτέλειες. Το οίκημα ήταν, φυσικά, παλιό, αλλά σε καλή κατάσταση. Το μπάνιο άνετο, όπως και το δωμάτιο, αν και μας φάνηκε ότι δεν ήταν σχολαστικά καθαρισμένα. Το μεγάλο του πλεονέκτημα ήταν η εξαιρετική του θέση. Στην καρδιά του ιστορικού κέντρου, πολύ κοντά στο Παλάτι των Νορμανδών και στον Καθεδρικό του Παλέρμο. Παρκάραμε το αυτοκίνητο στην πλατεία και δεν το χρησιμοποιήσαμε παρά μόνο την ημέρα που ξαναφύγαμε. Οπότε, τέλεια θέση για να επισκεφθείς όλα τα αξιοθέατα, αλλά χρειάζεται λίγη βελτίωση σε καθαριότητα και ανανέωση εξοπλισμού. Επίσης πρόβλημα και η γλώσσα για όποιον δε μιλά ιταλικά, αφού από αγγλικά ή άλλες γλώσσες...

Reviewed By carltonciviScelto per la sua ottima posizione, a due passi due dal palazzo dei Normanni. Laura è stata molto gentile e ci ha aspettato fino a mezzanotte. In 10 minuti a piedi si è in centro alla Cattedrale e sul viale principale Vittorio Emanuele. Bell'appartamento, con ampia sala con cucina ed una camera matrimoniale. In sala c'è anche un divano letto ed un letto a castello. Consigliato!

Reviewed By noemierg44Appartement très propre avec tout ce qu'il faut. - Cuisine équipée avec four, micro-onde, mini-congelateur, ustensiles de cuisine. - Clim dans le salon + dans la chambre. - Machine à laver 4 couchages (voir 6 avec le canapé-lit ) Parking gratuit au pied de la résidence, très pratique car dans une impasse, avec beaucoup de place. Parfait si vous avez une voiture de location : aucun risque ici ? ! Juste en face de la résidence, terrain de tennis. Lieu calme. A 25 min de Catane et 10 min de Mondello Wifi très bien. Et gardien très gentil (pratique pour récupérer les clés) Seul petit bémol : très peu d'eau chaude pour la douche
