Great stay
Reviewed By ChokkThe Gubernsky Hotel was small but provided excellent service during our stay. The room was large and very nice. It was clean with a large bathroom and an excellent bed. The staff was very friendly and helpsome as well. The hotel arranged a shuttle service for us from and to the airport. There are nice bars and restaurants in the neighbourhood and a good part of the touristic sights are in walking distance from the hotel.

The hotel is located near a train station, across the road. For hotel guests there is a large parking, free Wi-Fi. On the ground floor there is a bowling cafe where a delicious lunch at an attractive price, a bowling alley and billiards. All infrastructure in close proximity!
Great location at a decent price!
Reviewed By Storky100Travelled to Vitebsk from Minsk by Marshrutka which departed on the hour and took about 3 and a half hours. Had a day trip by train to Polotsk planned and was also heading to Brest on the overnight sleeper so wanted somewhere to stay close to the railway station – that was the main reason for choosing this gaff. The location was very handy for the station which also happened to be where the minibus dropped us off – less than a five minute walk. The town centre was a pleasant 15 minute stroll away over the Kirov Bridge. Not only did it look like this place hadn't been refurbished since the 1970s it didn’t actually appear like anyone had stayed there since then either. But nothing wrong with the room which was well appointed and very clean. The receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful although zero English was spoken – this wasn’t an issue and our registration was completed without a problem. Using a well known internet search engine translation service we were also able to arrange for our bags to be looked after on our final day before we were due to catch the train to Brest. However, something got missed using Google Translate as initially the hotel agreed to store our bags for five years! Now that would have been decent service...

Lovely apartment....once you find it!
Reviewed By Steve_AmyStayed here for 2 nights and I just say it was a very nice apartment / studio. Big double bed, lovely modern bathroom and a small lounge area with mini fridge, coffee machine and some crockery. It's also quite central - about 10 minute walk down Lenin avenue and you're in the city centre. There's a supermarket opposite and its bear the river if you fancy a stroll. The frustration for us is how hard it was to find. It is exactly as pinned on google maps, however it's not a hotel it's an apartment in an ordinary residential building so there is no signage. If we'd known that in advance we could have just called the manager rather than wasting an hour looking for it!
