Reviewed By Jim_CathyBlacktownWe were a large family group consisting of our family of four and my sister in laws’ family of three and stayed three nights. The units were large, warm and comfortable. The mornings were a brisk -5 deg to 0 deg C but you’d never have known it in the unit. There was a refrigerator but no microwave oven. We stayed in late November so not many guests so the breakfast on offer in the dining area had a limited selection of food. Still tasty, but limited. When we first arrived early in the day so our rooms weren’t yet ready so we asked for recommendations of where to go until check-in. The young lady at the desk, whose name escapes me, was very helpful. (All staff we’re friendly and helpful)We ended up returning at 7pm we had such an interesting time exploring the roads and villages in the area. San Gimignano is not to be missed. Never got to thank her in person but her recommendations were spot on. The property is a little isolated so you do need a car to get around. It is very convenient to the Autostrada to Florence ( no traffic noise) and has a lovely rural backdrop. Prices were really good at this time of the year and we were very happy with it. We wouldn’t hesitate to return if we visit the area again.

Reviewed By chapeljoinery92We arrived late afternoon, touring Italy on our motorbike, very hot and tired. Our welcome was wonderful, very friendly and put us at ease straight away. Thank you, Filippo! The pool was great and we virtually had it to ourselves. It served as an excellent base to visit the local area. The breakfasts had variety and quality, just as the evening meals we had at the 'Ristorante Borgo Antico' enclosed within the B&B. Absolutely amazing!

Very comfortable B&B in Central Tuscany

I’ve spent 20 days travelling in Italy and learned about a few standards, like the tiny TVs and, even worst, the shower areas, always the same terribly small size. Here, the shower area is big enough, the Internet speed is great, the TV is not only bigger but with support to pen drives (allowing me to plug in and watch my films on the big screen). Other than these very specific details (you will relate after spending some time in Italy), this is a brand new B&B, with the right amount of space and comfort, a very nice breakfast and, a big plus: A owner (Giovanni), extremely nice and truly concerned about the well being of his guests. He provided good tips on where to eat and places to visit, always with a smile and making sure I would have a good experience. Tavernalle is a central location and you’ll be able to visit the whole Tuscany from here (I did it in 6 days). A car is a must though.

It was an extraordinary stay. Beautifully maintained, once Maria's family home with a real feel of a home. Comfy beds, warm and cosy, coffee and vino and home baking on tap, Fabulous breakfast with the best omelettes by Mery made with organic cheese, quality throughout, a wonderful view over Chianti, great position for visiting so many absolutely stunning villages, views, views, views. What I and my husband would have loved to have done further is stay longer but we will be back without a doubt.

Reviewed By Derek RThis was our second visit as a foursome and booked both rooms for 7 days. As on the previous visit everything was just about perfect, nothing is too much trouble for Roberto and Laura. The attention to detail and fantastic breakfasts on the terrace make for a brilliant base for exploring central Tuscany. The terrace and garden are a quiet and beautiful place to enjoy an evening apperitivo & appetiser from Roberto's menu or a glass of Chianti from his cellar. The two en-suite rooms are both equally delightful with fantastic views over the valley and vineyards. Bearing in mind that you also have the use of a third bathroom, kitchen and lounge this is an exceptional spot to enjoy traditional Italian hospitality.

There are two suites, two bedrooms or the entire villa for up to 12 to 15 persons. Upon request, for longer stays of at least 7 days, it is possible to rent the entire villa for your holiday in Tuscany. This option gives you full access to all the rooms, the kitchens, garden and pool area. There is a fully equipped kitchen, with service pantry where you play around with the new flavors, perfumes and recipes. Upon request, Villa Fillinelle will provide picnic lunches that you can take with you as your explore the Tuscan countryside. While staying at the B&B, not only is the kitchen open for you to experiment with the new flavors but Rosanna is happy to prepare a selection of typical Italian dishes.

Glorious scenery, a lovely Villa with it's extraoridinary views that are breathtaking! We arrived in early October....with 5 adults in our family party. We were graciously welcomed by both Guiseppe and Rosana and our visit could not have been better. A highlight was an amazingly delicious 5-course meal that was prepared for us by Guiseppe ... this is not to be missed. The breakfast every morning were top notch and they really cared about preparing exactly what you wanted. The cappuccinos, coffee were superb! We so enjoyed speaking with both Rosana and Guispeppe and was so much fun learning about them too. We had a busy itinerary, but actually cut short our sight seeing one afternoon so we could come back and relax at the villa and enjoyed sitting outside. Before we knew it, Rosana appeared with 5 wine glasses and a delicious bottle of wine! Rosana was kind enough to drive us into a village that we wanted to visit that was about 25 minutes away. Very accommodating. The rooms were perfect, clean and so charming. Three of our party stayed in the cottage close to pool. Was wonderful! We loved walking around the property, just soaking in the beauty. The Villa Fillinelle will be our choice again. Perfect location in Tuscany. And we can't forget Athos! The friendliest dog that made us feel right at home. A cute little Jack Russel. Thank you for making our trip to Tuscany all that we expected and more! Buon Natale!

You get a warm welcome and a glass of prosecco Great menu with plenty of choice, which is refreshing as some local restaurants have quite limited menus. The dishes were well presented and creative without being fussy and the wines were great. High quality honest food at a fair price.

Reviewed By PeterJamoWhat a beautiful hotel! Simply stunning. We stayed here for two nights after getting married in nearby Rignana and it really completed a perfect weekend. Francesca was a great host and made everything easy from first booking to late check out. The room was large and the view from the roof terrace was beautiful. Breakfast was a good selection and staff all very friendly. When back in Tuscany id look at staying here again for sure
