Reviewed By Jerzy JI have booked a room after reading opinions on booking.com. A total mark 8,5 ("very good") convinced me to do so, but now I have no clue where so high rates are coming from. The hotel rooms look ok only on puctures, but in a reality is an disaster. I had an apartment and it was my worst experience with hotels since very loooong time. The apartament consists of 2 rooms and it is almost all good I can say about it. It looked like this apartment was recently renovated in the seventies or eighties. Dirty bathroom, old and incapacitated furniture, dirty floor in rooms (stains and hair after previous guests). I had the impression that dirt and dust is everywhere, and it was unpleasant to even sit down on the upholstery of the couch and chairs. There was Wi-Fi in the hotel, but my room was not it the range of it. To get to the hotel and go out in the evening you have to ring the bell and wait for the quy to open the padlock and remove the chain from the gate to the parking or wicket from the front. In the bathroom there is only a liquid soap and shampoo (but I was not certain whether it was not the same in both dispensers). Breakfast in the morning is served at downstairs' restaurant (it is included into a bill) and it includes cormflakes and one of six breakfast sets you are ordering by the waiter (the whole proces may take even half hour). The waiter can bring you also caffe. If you want to drink anything else, there is also a stir water or apple juice (both in plastic bottles). If you are still hungry after eating your breakfast set you can buy something more at the hotel restaurant :(. The Staff in the hotel is strange - it looked like they have been forced to work or they simply did not like this job. Of the good things was also a free parking for the car in a back and a frontal fasade of the hotel with an outside garden. I was very disappointed of my stay. For this price you may find something much better in the vicinity of Sighetu or even to consider staying in Baia Mare. Never again!!!

For a single command there were multiple errors such as the Ice teas on the menu are 500ml but we got only 250ml and they said this is the only one they have for the same price. Also after 5-6 visits/checks the waitress still made errors. The milk for the coffee was perforated and poured on the sugar.

Reviewed By Andrei TWe had a short stay, just 1 night unfortunately. But after several trips arou d Europe and Romania, I can say that DUPA APA LA RAZVAN is the best accomodation we ever had. Everything was fab, including our spacy and clean room, the food. The hosts and the prices. Hopefully we will be back one day!

Reviewed By omuletulGood lovation close to the city centre. Friendly staff and welcoming ambience. Tidy & clean rooms. Hospitality is on point. Cozy rooms and beds. Good Wi-Fi connection. The Hotel is quiet new, it's surrounded by shops, restaurants and a close to "Memorialul Durerii". Great for holiday or a night in.

Terrible stay

The moment you arrived in the reception you can feel the staffy air, it smells like an old and dirty kitchen. The rooms are nothing like in the photos, apart from the view we had from our room, the rest was disapointing. The walls are that thin that i could hear our neighbours talk as if we were sharing the room. The water in the shower was barely warm, we couldn not have a hot shower. The toilet was not properly cleaned and the shower area did not make me feel comfortable while having a shower. The towels had a strange smell, but, I always carry towels with me. They have SPA facilties (closed now due to Covid19) but there are not bath robes or flipflops in the room. The breakfast was poor, apart from the coffee that was nice, the food was not great, at least our choice. According to their menu, you can choose from 4 different predefined meals. If you are a vegetarian you can have milk and cereals. I asked them to remove the meat from some other dish, which they did. I had eggs.. extremely well done eggs :( It's location is not great either, located on the main street with intense traffic, but on the other hand it is easy to reach. Won't come back for sure.

Prettiest guesthouse in Maramures
Reviewed By alinamanoleOk, we haven’t seen ALL guesthouses in Maramures but we have tried a few and really, not one compares to this one, although several are quite nice. The setting in the middle of nature, the way the houses look, the big garden, the cleanliness and the food make it unique. We stayed here 3 times so far and we can see that they’re investing in the place - it seems to improve from one year to the other. We love that it’s pretty far from the main road, love the large yard with so much space to walk and enjoy the silence, green grass everywhere, flowers in the front and a small orchard in the back, it’s simply heaven to be there, especially in summer and early autumn. Some watch-outs: traditional food in this part of the country is based on meat; if you’re vegetarian, you need to be clear about it from the start. There’s no a-la-carte so best to agree together with mrs Doina which meals you’ll be having there, what times etc. It won’t be a typical tourist experience that you’d get in a big city or in western Europe - try to get with the local charm and enjoy it ;)

3 night stay with friends and tour guide
Reviewed By owensbnn65Sorry for not posting review sooner, we stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and enjoyed every minute of it, the rooms are large, well equipped with large modern bathrooms, Marinela herself was great, very hospitable, the food, high quality local produce and plenty of it, the hotel is well situated for visiting all the local sites, merry cemetery, mountain railway etc we have visited Romania 6 times now, always with the our local guide Ilona and this is by far the best trip we have made, the area is fantastic but transport and a guide is essential. Marinela thank your staff for me for making our visit so enjoyable and thanks for the gifts especially the plum brandy, we are discussing our next visit probably next April so hopefully we will be seeing you then Thanks David o

Very nice, friendly and helpful owners. The breakfast was excellent including home-made traditional specialities. They dressed me up in traditional attire for photos, we really had a very good fun :)) Thank you very much !!!!

The owner is one of the most welcoming and willing to help person I have ever met in my over 20 years as business events organizer, even if I have not got here for business purposes but leisure. I am very delighted that among other similar places I have chosen this one because a variety of reasons, out of which I will name just a few: 1) placement (aside from the main road, in a very quiet surroundings with an unbelievable fresh air and bird chirping that you will make you feel as if you are in the middle of a forest); 2) cleaning (one of the best for a location of its kind); 3) plenty of facilities (besides accommodation and cooking strictly-speaking): swimming pool, 3 wooden hot tubs, football field, children's playground and so on. Aside from these above, you can count on a very reliable and trustworthy care the owner of the Pensiunea Tavisa treats its guests. We have forget a very important luggage into our room and, after a while when we realized it, we were very far away. The owner immediately found it and put it in a safe place in order to help us pick it up few days later! Excelent service, great memories, one of the best option you can choose from when you get close to Sighetul Marmatiei!
