Posada de la Plaza opened in December 2008. We have 10 rooms, all with en suite bathroom, TV, heating, air conditioning, Wi-Fi and safe deposit box. We are only five blocks away from the main square in the historical center of town. Everyone is welcome to come and stay or just visit the place, enjoy the extensive garden and the comfortable places.

Reviewed By Linda2856This hotel is clean but otherwise has nothing going for it. The rooms are old and the bathroom antiquated. The water pressure in the shower is not very good. Breakfast is reasonable. Wifi doesn't work well in the room so you have to go outside to get a good signal. When we arrived no-one answered the door which was locked. It took us some time to get attention. The person who finally greeted us couldn't speak English. We can't speak Spanish but for someone in hospitality and tourism I would think some command of English would be advisable. It's only a short walk to the centre of the town so location is good. Not worth the money.

Reviewed By PWBRWonderfully friendly and informative welcome. Lovely bedroom with porch and sun loungers. Set in gorgeous grounds. Asado lunch under Japanese wisteria was fantastic and the horse riding was fun. For a country escape La Cinacina is different, relaxing and memorable.

Antigua Casona is a great hostel, located one block from the main square.Our rooms have private bathroom, air conditioning, T.V. in the room and continental breakfast included.Also we provide to the guests, references about estancias, tours, horseriding etc.The hotel also have free wi-fi, beberages for sale.

Norma and Lucas were so welcoming and we were placed in our favourite room near the pool. The location is wonderful and there is onsite parking. Although street parking is safe too. The rooms are spotless and Norma has the hotel looking pristine. Fatima the manager is amazing! She speaks extremely good English and took us in her own car to places we wanted to see, I cannot fault the service at this hotel. With 20 years in the airline industry I can be a tad fussy at times. The breakfast is homemade breads, croissants, jams cakes tarts cereals and fresh fruit. The breakfast room is open for all guests to use at any time, with tea and coffee facilities. Norma even remembered we like cold milk. This understated classy hotel is fabulous! My rating 12/10 San Antonio de Areco is a quaint safe town and is a wonderful place to visit if you have spare days in Buenos Aires. Fatima can arrange Polo, massages, estancia visits and her sister Delfina has a gorgeous art and design gallery in town. The museums are fabulous and the restaurants close by the hotel serve quality food at reasonable prices.

The hotel has a Jacuzzi and a Spa but it worth to mention that they’re not for free. We spent 2 beautiful days there, we will come back soon!.

Charming New Hotel in a Charming Little Town
Reviewed By Misty GMy family and I stayed at this brand new hotel with its exquisite interior design, in February 2022. The materials used in the buildings - wood, glass, stone - are sympathetic to the gorgeous antique furniture and doors and complemented by soft linens and towels and lovely toiletries. The building is absolutely in keeping with the town's elegant charm. There is a beautiful cold blue plunge pool for warmer days; a lovely breakfast of cereals, juice, fruit, cold hams and cheeses, breads and pastries, tea and coffee is laid out for self service with quaint teapots and china in a beautiful glass conservatory overlooking a pretty courtyard with seating. The staff are friendly and welcoming although English is not fluent - but that has to be the charm. La Florida is in a great, central location in San Antonio de Areco, the beating heart of gaucho pampas and a wonderful place to spend several lazy days away from the chaos of BA. The wifi is excellent. I would heartily recommend.

A pleasant if unexceptional stay
Reviewed By pathfinderNjFor what it is, this is a nice posada with an English speaking hostess (not too common in this area), comfortable rooms, and a good breakfast. If you stay two nights, you get a sharp discount, which makes it a fair value for the price. There should be a 3-1/2 star "good" rating indicating a place that's better than average but not quite "very good." That's what I would give this hotel. It's disadvantages are that it's a 10-15 minutes drive to town for restaurants, and the accessible property itself is quite small for being in the country. Also, they raise a variety of colorful chickens who have the run of the place. It's fun to watch them, but they leave droppings all over the lawn and walkways which are not cleaned up as often as one might hope!
