We needed a rest from the sights and Rita provides the perfect place. Very close to Villa Romana del Casale, a highlight for any visit to Sicily. Adjacent to Piazza Armerina, a charming town with excellent options for dinner (Rita knows the best). Her place is an older villa, downstairs a formal living room and library; behind it a more recent, but rustic "family room" with dining table for 16, with fireplace. Next to this is, of course, the kitchen where Rita outdoes herself, serving homemade bread, local honeys and jams, skillets of sautéed spinach to complement the omlettes. <sigh>. Rooms are upstairs and of generous size and complete with all amenities. Gardens and pool surround that would certainly be enjoyable in warmer weather. Best of all, was Rita's warmth and hospitality, willing to do whatever (in our case, laundry) to make your vacation perfect. Come visit her, and her four-legged pal, Arturo. You may decide it was the best part of your visit to wonderful Sicily.

We’ve just returned from a short break in Sicily and had the pleasure of staying at this incredible place. Rocca dei Saraceni is located in a very tranquil location and enjoys magnificent views of the Sicilian countryside and Mount Etna in the distance. The hotel itself is very clean and the rooms are spacious and well appointed. The restaurant here is top notch; breakfast is simple yet abundant whilst the dinner experience is amazing. Last but not least – all the staff here are awesome – particular mention to the reception and restaurant staff who took very good care of us and our children throughout our stay. Our kids really enjoyed the small playground and visiting the animals in the farm. A must visit whilst in Sicily! Thank you!

This is an excellent hotel on La Sicily Divide. It has a central but quiet location in Enna. The room is in a top condition. Everything has a particular artistic touch. I also recommend the restaurant of the owner: Bistre Siciliano con Giardino Paradiso. By far the best dinner I had in Sicily.

The location is perfect…in a quiet area not remote in the countryside but safe enough close to other buildings, close to amenities and to the Piazza Armerina old village with a lot of historic site and places ti visit. The rooms are very clean, comfortable, well-lit and aired with enough space for a baby to crawl around and heated so it’s very cosy even in winter. Breakfast was great and various with fresh local produce too! Our baby boy loved the fresh omlette daily. The surroundings of the place is paradise, there’s a pool especially for summer but greenery is all around with farm animals that you can enjoy too - goats, sheep, donkeys, horses, dogs and chickens. There’s a BBQ area too and parties can be organised with custom games for kids or adults. There are Greensand stone naturally sculpted rocks decorating the outdoor areas all around that were excavated there which qas fascinating. The interior decor is fantastic, especially when the proprietor narrated stories about specific pieces and the reasoning behind these decorative art, exquisite job! It was a fabulous holiday with our 11-month old son and we were very well taken care of by the property owner who treated us like family, that’s why you will feel at home as soon as you arrive! We highly recommend it to couples, families and friends as you will surely spend great quality time and if you roam around with your car, you’ll have it there with you inside the property. We loved it and we cannot wait to return back to La Quercia soon enough!

Best B & B in Sicily!

Reviewed By slygal718

This charming bed and breakfast is run by two of the warmest, most genuine people I've ever met! What a lovely welcome they gave me. Rita speaks limited English and I speak less Italian, but somehow we managed to exchange stories and trade photos of our daughters and become close as family. The B and B is filled with beautiful decor, with careful attention to every detail. It is obvious how much Rita loves this adorable place. The room I had was just lovely, quiet and spacious. The bathroom, also was quite large with a phenomenal, gorgeous ceramic sink. There is plenty of free parking just outside the door and it is an easy 13 minutes to the Villa Romana del Casale. Rita put out a typical Sicilian breakfast spread, more food than you could eat in days and all of it beautifully presented and fantastic coffee, as well! It is so apparent that Rita loves her business and consequently her guests. I had tears in my eyes when I said goodbye, like leaving family. Thank you, Rita for such a lovely experience!
