Reviewed By Antonella127I don’t know where to start. I hadn’t been drinking milk for 30 years because it made me sick. At Taverna Centomani I could drink not only the richest, tastiest and healthiest milk but also try the homemade cheeses, kefir and yogurt that Maria, the owner, proudly makes from her premium milk. All the food is excellent and delicious, the quality matches the tradition of Basilicata. I loved everything from appetizers to desert. Good choice also for china, all different and picked up at flea markets, and cutlery. The place is immersed in the quiet countryside, a gorse scented breeze soothes the most tired traveler. The rooms are spacious and furnished with antiques. You come here to rest and you may think that life loves you.

Reviewed By ThomasL123789After driving past the appartment a few times but ,we found it. Its quite hard to find it , Its in located in an apartment building. The room was clean and the shower worked wel. The breakfast was free, but consisted out of small buns in plastic and some juice. However the breakfast was free ,so not to main complaints in that department. Furthur Potenza is really hilly and steep so be prepared for that. Nice owner , speak a bit of English

Reviewed By JPolisIt was a very positive experience as the owners are very attentive to your needs, rooms are comfortable and with a unique (artistic) interior design, and the bathrooms are very clean. Even though the owners mostly speak Italian, they were very helpful providing us with information about the places to visit in Lucanian Dolomites, places to eat and they even were ready to help us with the the flat car battery. Parking is very easy and free with a pass that the owners provide. It was easy to find a place as it is right on the roundabout with the lion sculpture and in-between elevator systems to access old town which is higher elevation. Potenza apparently has the highest elevations among all the other capital cities of Italian regions. The hotel can be a good base to travel in the mountainous region of Basilicata - you can experience all the comforts of the city (restaurants) still being close to all the small villages/picturesque drives. I can see how non-Italian guests might get a bit tired from cakes and cookies for the breakfast. Yogurt, fruits and fresh juice is also provided. We loved the selection and freshness of all the sweet cakes and cookies, however having a boiled egg, some limited cheese and salami to put on the bread would increase the satisfaction, especially if we had stayed longer.

Perfectly located in the heart of the old town, the premises are tastefully decorated, clean and extremely comfortable. The owners are helpful and always ready to assist the guests in anything the might need. Breakfast in the old basement was delicious and the atmosphere was just lovely!

Reviewed By jaoxi2015That's a flat in a condominium ten minute walk into the town centre. There are 3-4 rooms very clean with private bathroom, no reception so you need agree with the owner. There is a small kitchen, where you can have breakfast in the morning.

Okay Hotel in Questionable Location
Reviewed By TravellingSandy4This hotel is near Potenza's Old Centre but the area is drab - full of graffiti and seedy characters. Once inside the hotel, it is of reasonable standards with large rooms but small shower cubicles. The receptionist (Spanish gentleman) was friendly enough and the breakfast was adequate on continental standards. However the short five minute walk into the bustling old town was unpleasant and I wouldn't recommend it to ladies travelling alone. If you are early enough, free car parking was a bonus.

Reviewed By WroxhamMarkWe were on a road trip around Southern Italy. This B&B is situated in the middle of the the old part of the town. Finding it was fun! It might be an idea to find it on google street maps first, we didn't, we just relied on Satnav. Parking is in a nearby street and limited, you could be unlucky if you arrived early evening onwards. Entry is through a massive gothic arched door. On arrival our host made us a cup of coffee in one of those iconic Italian coffee pots that go on a gas hob. I forget the name! The room was clean, well decorated and had enough sockets for charging up gadgets, which is not always the case. Breakfast was in the communal kitchen on an antique marble topped table. We were able to sample the host's homemade lemon marmalade, fig jam etc.

Reviewed By boosterukI received an email shortly after leaving the property which read along the lines that I stole their hair dryer and that Italians hate thieves like myself , this was followed up by a second email saying sorry wrong person , a little too late when the original damage was already done Well all I can say is a simple call to ask a customer if they had taken something by mistake would prevent you from making slanderous remarks . Your hairdryer was never moved it was always on top of the bathroom cabinet where you put it . I will be seeking a full refund from Hotels.com as I’m totally disgusted at the email you sent .
