Reviewed By mokimonsterI've stayed at River hotel at least a half dozen days throughout the years. For Nakhon Pathom, River hotel is a good value. Staff have good English skills. Check-in time is non-negotiable. No early check-ins. Rooms are clean and spacious! Two bottles of free water and basic toiletries are offered. I've stayed at building 3 and 4, with 4 being the newest hotel addition. Spend the extra 100-200b for a newer room! Breakfast is extra. The hotel caters to business travelers. Nothing fancy.

Reviewed By 567AllwynWe stayed at this hidden gem for 2 nights during August and was really happy and enjoyed each and every moment.The hosts Aareya and Chris went out of their way to make us comfortable and relaxing. The place itself is a piece of beautiful nature overlooking a lake with lots of birds and relaxing atmosphere. Chris had given us great tips to explore and took us to the local market. Also bicycles are available to ride around the peaceful surroundings and to get along with the local Thai culture.They also arrange good Thai Massages for cheap prices. Airport transfers are also arranged easily. Got delicious breakfast and other meals too..We recommend this place very much for those who would like to get disconnected from the busy cities.We would love to come back !

TV all in thai. the place is clean staff were helpfull .hard to find as its in a back street . it any cost £23 for 4 of us 2adults 2 children with 2 bedrooms great .But the beds are the hardest beds I have ever tried to sleep on . and I mean really hard beds . As I said you pay for what you get .

Lots of positive things about the resort - peaceful, nice lake and nice gardens, close to Bangkok but "worlds away" at the same time, a nice pool. Some negatives - food was just ok, buffet breakfast in particular was a disappointment, as well had a very unprofessional massage. Pretty good value for money, and ok for a 1 - 2 night getaway. But not as nice as it might be...

Physical features OK; terrible service and management
Reviewed By Gary CThe hotel provides terrible service. The coffee shop opens at 10 am and there is no other place near from breakfast. The coffee shop and restaurant close early without notice on some nights. Service personnel are indifferent. Rooms not made up every day. There is no lift/elevator even though there are four floors, Even though physical features, quality of the bed and cleanliness are OK, the rest of the package including services one normally expects at any hotel are terrible. Avoid. There are other nearby hotels.

She's not capable of even checking if they have our booking, and she ignored it when I showed confirmation email on my phone. Instead, she asked to use my mobile to call the owner to check for her with the reason that she cannot use her own mobile. Seriously...

Poor area development
Reviewed By Varintorn YI decided to give this place a try after I visited their riverside ‘floating cafe’ Riva and saw a glimpse of their peaceful atmosphere of their hotel section. The place is nice and the room is acceptable considering it is situated by the river and run by family members. I expected nothing more than a working utilities which are alright (apart from the broken toilet seat). The part that I find unacceptable the most is their parking space which they reserved for us on the first day but not on our departure date (which was still before noon - check out time). I understand that the place consists of two more sections, being one of the most promising destinations for weekenders who look forward to take photos and share and their social media which means the traffic of the people coming in and out just to enjoy the river view is extremely high (which is as aforementioned, we are coming from the guest of that category too) but, to prevent us to park in the priority area on our departure date, isn’t that too much? My conclusion here is, you may come here with the least expectation on accommodation, food and service and still enjoy the river view. Apart from that, nothing here will satisfy you. Or even at their worst, their service can prevent you from your next visit. Once is more than enough. Thank you.

A wasted weekend
Reviewed By dbjbrennanThe rooms are nice, and the place is set in nice rounds. Perhaps a great place once, but the whole place now has a derelict feel. A vast, grand place, bereft of its soul. 1) The service is non-existent, to the point of being insultingly bad. Requests are simply ignored or passed to other people (who also don't care), with no follow up. 2) The restaurant (with nowhere else to eat nearby) has good Thai food, but closes at 7 pm 3) Forget about a lie in - the breakfast service closes at 9 am 4) Need Wi-fi as advertised. Forget it. The staff told us that it "sometimes" works We booked for two nights, and left after the first. To their credit, they did give us a refund, but the damage was done and our weekend was ruined.
