Reviewed By 669babettevReally lovely apartment along the canals. Perfect location. Apartments are well equipped, well maintained, nicely furnished and the reception areas are pretty. In fact the apartments really do have everything you need. We were pleasantly surprised. This makes for a longer stay but also is a good option for a night or weekend break as the apartment actually has good basics such as coffee/ tea/ water/wine/ oil/ salt/ sugar etc available on hand or to buy at a reasonable price which makes for stress free travels especially for a short stay. There are many super restaurants close by, its easy walking to all the main shopping areas and attractions and the area was safe at night. Parking is available fairly close to the hotel. There is a lift/ elevator. An added bonus was the incredibly good service provided from booking - arrival - departure. They are an excellent team and it was efficient, friendly and personal throughout, including recommendations on what to do in the area and ideas on where to eat and all the ideas proved well chosen. As a result we experienced a more "local" Livorno and had a great city stay. All in all we were very happy with our choice and would return.

Reviewed By Iris HLovely garden with garden furniture, stunning view at the sunset over the sea, fridge, coffee machine and tea kettle in the room along with the basics for the breakfast needs. Very close to Livorno. There is no privacy. Curtains barely cover this mostly glassy structure the owners built as b&b. Very worn down inside. We could not get tv to work ( tiny computer screen facing the entrance, not the room :))

At Dogana d’Acqua Rooms & Art we offer our Guests the possibility of short or long stays in a new and comfortable ambience. Dogana d’Acqua Rooms & Art is located in an ancient palace facing one of the most suggestive areas of the town called “New Venice”. The apartment has been restaured in 2015 and offers the guests three rooms with private bathroom, one of which with a small terrace facing the canals of the “New Venice”. Each room is equipped with air conditioning, heating and mosquito net. Breakfast is served from 7am in a couple of bars situated nearby. A small library with books and leaflets with informations about Livorno is available. Dogana d’Acqua Rooms & Art is 500 meters far from town center and from the harbor with ferries to Sardinia, Corsica and Capraia. At 100 meters the closest bus stop to the main sites of interest of Livorno such us the railway station, the seafront (promenade), the “Terrazza Mascagni” and the Aquarium. A parking in the public way is available near Dogana d'Acqua, toll during the day, free from 8 pm till 8 am. We can give our guests any further informations when needed. Check-in time: from 13,30 till 19,30; check out time: within 10 am; for special request we can eventually fix another arrival time.

Very hospitable English-speaking couple work hard to make your stay enjoyable. Well-located in the old town canal district with parking right in front, and an address that the GPS navigated right to. This was a solo trip, so i accepted the room with a shared bath just a few steps down the hall, modern and well-equipped, and not a problem at all to share with one other room. A/C was nice to have, mainly to reduce the humidity so common in Tuscany’s coastal areas. This is a great value! You can’t go wrong.

Fine casa for a stay in Livorno but extremely hard to find in the evening
Reviewed By Lloyd RI had bit trouble finding this place in the evening. I went by it twice but besides that this place is fine for a night or two. Price was reasonable, toilets clean and breakfast was fine. Also the rooms where fine too.

very comfortable rooms - better than a hotel
Reviewed By Julia BI stayed with my boyfriend for two days in this lovely B&B. We didnt calculate good our arrival time, so no one opend us the door cause we was too early.. We made a call and after an half hour, somebody came, the girl was very polite and came as fast as possible ! Breakfast was included to the bar downstairs, luckily it was possible to bring it by ourself upstairs in our room in the morning. The price of 70 euro was very good for livorno standars, i heard of hotels much more uncomfortable, it was also more easy without a lobby to enter also late in the evening on your own. The only thing i would improve, is to wash better the towels. They was smelling a little bit. Expacially when u wash your face and dry it with the towel u feel the smell on your skin after.

Located in an Historic House, our B&B has 2 bedrooms. The first one is a Suite of 60 mq with a Jacuzzi and sea-view. Our Guest can use our living room with a beautiful fireplace and where you can drink for free typical Tuscany grappa, a kitchen where you can have coffe and cake during all the day and a garden with a characteristic greenhouse. The parking is free and the Wi-Fi is free in all the House.

Reviewed By jread911943Beautiful house to stay approx 4km from Livorno. Lovely bar and restaurants close by. Bikes available for free to cycle. Breakfast was superb and lots of small touches added to the excellent stay, free waters, aperitifs, cakes, soft drinks etc. Highly recommend.

Reviewed By Marica NThis is an amazing and private hotel. We stayed in the gold room with a big terrace. The hostess Michaela is really friendly and always there to help when you need it. Breakfast is delicious, with Italian specialities and freshly baked bread.

Reviewed By ritaonlineThe best part of my stay was the staff. They were super kind, attentive, and helpful. The Hotel is a bit on the older side. The furniture/bedding is older. The rooms are small and clean. The first night, the sink was clogged and would not drain. I noticed this at 11 PM at night and the staff immediately moved me to a new room. In the second room the shower stall had a draining problem. It wasn’t so bad that I wanted to change my room but I wasn’t thrilled about it. Walls are thin. Breakfast was OK. The barista made fantastic cappuccinos. Location was great. The staff had a great restaurant and tourism recommendations. I was all hotels had staff like this place!
