Travelled up from Kent late to use as a halfway point between the Peak District as had to leave early next morning. Staff were so friendly to me. Felt very comfortable sitting on my own 9pm at night eating a lovely salad full of flavour they knocked up for me last minute. Thought room was a single bed but was a double. Very clean. For the price was great! Felt safe on my own.

4.5 stars, just missed out on 5 stars.

Despite liking almost everything about this place, it has just missed out on 5 stars due to a small lack of attention to cleaning in the bathroom (see photos) of cobwebs and hairs on the picture rail and behind the door. Room 210. Other than that I can't fault it. Great central location, great system for checking in and out and use of the car park. Check in staff were excellent and very helpful. Good amenities in the room. Nice comfy bed and quiet for a city centre location. Great hot rain shower. We both agree that we would stay here again.

Good and clean and good space

Reviewed By Codds y

We took the Executive Suite, which had a useful separate lounge area with sofas for 4. Good and clean, only criticism was the shower was too hot and (perhaps the cold wasn't working properly) we couldn't turn it down. If you like your TV in the bedroom then choose a different room, but this definitely suited us.

Do Not Stay Here!

Booked three nights in May 2022, based on website pictures and price. This lace is filthy, unsanitary and probably breaks any number of health & safety laws. Peeling paint, broken TV, no sign of any tea/coffee facility in the room. And the smell! Corridors are narrow, dingy and smelly, and there wasn't a staff member to be seen anywhere. the so called "en-suite" was a prefab plastic pod in the corner of the room, with a toilet that hadn't been cleaned or flushed for ages. Frankly, this place is disgusting and not fit for human habitation.

Visiting family

Accommodation was very reasonably priced, and good value for the amount we paid. We stayed here for 4 nights. The room and bathroom were very clean and even though there was a bar downstairs, we never experienced any noise or disruption from that. Terence and his team were very friendly and welcoming and at all times asked us if we needed anything. The bar has a good atmosphere and everyone was very friendly. I would highly recommend OYO Shilton Inn as it represents good value for money and is in a good location for Earl Shilton & the surrounding areas. Buses right outside the door to Hinkley and Leicester and shops, cafes and places to eat are on the doorstep. Would stay again.

Cheap and cheerful - no complaints

Perfectly placed for the Morningside Arena - 5 mins away - and lots of great places to eat nearby too. At this price I was expecting a rough place - How wrong. Staff were welcoming and helpful on arrival. Room was well decorated, immaculately clean, quiet and comfy. On departure I had a videocall to take - Owner and staff were great and allowed me to overstay at no cost. Can’t fault the place at all. Thank you.
