We had a three day break with elderly parents. The hotel rooms along with the food were to a very high standard (thanks to the chef for being so obliging). All staff were great but a massive thank you to Dominic and Claudia who were just excellent, nothing was too much trouble and they were always looking to go the extra mile. I would strongly recommend a visit to this lovely hotel and we will definitely be back.

Room 3 on the first floor was very large, with an attractive view over Dalton Square, a first-class en-suite / shower room, and a double bed wide enough to sleep sideways (if so inclined !). The fish, chips and mushy peas in the evening were perfectly cooked and sensible portions. Above all, ALL the staff were cheerful as well as helpful (including with variations to the menu) !

Just back from a 3 night stay with my 80 yr old gran, we stayed in seperate rooms 4&6. Both rooms were beautifully presented with modern decor, room 6 had a cracking view of the bay. Viv and Carl were the best hosts!! Nothing was ever to much for them, they helped so much from aftersun to plates for a chippy tea and a shower mat for my gran. The breakfasts they provide are exceptional, I had a full english on 2 mornings, my gran had poached/scrambled eggs during her stay, she can be abit fussy with certain things but even that didnt faze them, they helped and provided her woth everything she needed. Also exceptional knowledge of the near and far surroundings of Morecambe, took their advice on several places and was not dissapointed! Only thing I should of done was seek their advice on wheres best for fish and chips ? Thanks so much for making our first holiday together one to remember xxx

We stayed in the Ashton suite which had a mezzanine floor & great views of the river. From the moment we arrived the entire team were so attentive & so welcoming. The suite was decadence at it's best. From the crushed velvet furniture to the huge free-standing bath, the experience was just superb. We had the surf & turf for dinner. The lobster & steak was delicious (as was the champers)! We simply cannot rate this whole experience highly enough. Rob and his entire team were superb. We have booked again for later this year. Not the first time we have stayed at The Sun. We have had both ‘cosy’ double bedroom and in the past the luxury double bedroom - none of the rooms can be faulted. Bar has a great selection with something for everybody. We didn’t have dinner but did have breakfast (Full English for me, Garden Breakfast for wife) - both were first rate. Staff friendly and courteous with nothing too much trouble. Will be back !

Stayed here for 1 night room was really lovely not in the main hotel but in the outbuilding just of the courtyard really clean aswell no cooked breakfast but there where cereals and milk and juice so you could just help yourself the reason I've not give it 5 stars is because you could hear everything as we found out from the guests in the room next to us who decided to play music full blast and shout and scream at 3am in the morning it's completely put us of going back ?
