Wonderful Stay
Reviewed By thomaskvjI stayed at this resort with my family for two days. It was as comfortable as staying in our own home. Jobin, Bincy and their children were very friendly. They were very careful to ensure our comfortable and happy stay. Breakfast was very rich and delicious. Rooms were very big and well arranged. Room had a spacious balcony with greenery all around. Washroom and linen were very neat and clean. Jobin was very helpful in planning or activities in Thekkady. And all this comfort at a very nominal price. I can say without any doubt that this is one of the best budget stay in Thekkady.

The worst food in Kumily area
Reviewed By sonyk2017The worst food you can get. I was shocked this place is still full. Never recommended. I ordered Biryani and the meat was not even cooked properly. They have a nice location and probably that is what they are still busy. I am so sorry to see an establishment ripping off customers like this

Perfect Homestay in Thekkady
Reviewed By Vivek0990The hosts are very friendly. The hosts helped us in knowing at what time which activity will be effective and we enjoyed a really nice trip. This was my first time driving in a hill station and had some issues also. Mr.Bastin(Host) came to know this and made sure he took us to places in his own car, where we want to go and made my trip easier. This place is very near to Elephant camp which has lot of other activities too and also near to Periyar bus and boat ticket booking Counter from where we can board the bus, which will take us to Boat Ride in MullaiPeriyar Dam. The rooms are VERY CLEAN that my wife got impressed of the maintenance of the Homestay. For me it was like as if I went to my relative's house and had a very good time. Will definitely plan to go again.

The Wild Window Home Stay is situated in front of Periyar Tiger Reserve. It is the wonderful chance to see animals and birds. The same time it is very good nature and peaceful place also. The individual villa with in 3 bedrooms, living and dining area, kitchen with cooking facilities, pure homely food service, hot water and ro water, battery power backup and WiFi facilities.

Reviewed By tjwanderingit's a lovely place to occasionally see black monkey's, cheeky monkey's, one wild boar, goats, cows, birds, buffaloes, dogs, cats, and mostly it's quiet with no traffic. We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed local style breakfast that was different every day. we're vegan and it wasn't a problem to cater for us. We also had our dinner here and it was plentiful and delicious. We ate in their sitting/kitchen area. Our room was upstairs behind the main house which had its own outside access via a staircase and covered balcony. We had the freedom to come and go as we pleased. The room had two very comfortable single beds made up as a double. The sheet was fitted really well and didn't slip off ((happy?)). Large bathroom with a towel rack, soap dish, toilet paper and spare toilet paper, hand towel and bath towels. The shower was good although it wasn't always hot I enjoyed the cooler temperatures more. The family are amazing and really kind. English spoken. They looked after us very well.

Reviewed By Raumil SLocated at 10 minutes walking distance from the bus stop, this hotel has a great location at the edge of a jungle. The rooms are huge and the caretakers live adjacent to it. You get a big balcony to enjoy the view and chill.

Decent hotel with decent rates and basic facilities
Reviewed By shoyjosephSituated near to Periyar National Park ticket counter (less than 1 km), this is a basic hotel but clean and tidy. Rooms are in rows on ground. Towel, soap and one water bottle is provided. Rooms are clean. Hot water is available. Little parking space available. There is no phone in room to call for room service. No cupboard (wardrobe). Mr. Lipson of hotel is very kind and helpful. Its in the main market and easily to locate. No wi-fi.

Reviewed By punamgawande11. Really not worth for money homestay "Oriole Homestay" since I did many adjustments even after paying money 4500 Rs ( including food bill). 2. Toilet Spray's water pressure was not sufficient. 3. Ants and lizards were there in rooms. 4. No exhaust fan was there in Toilet. 5. So much Sunlight come into room since curtains are white and it disturb you a lot. 6. I was able to hear noise from another room and neighboring "OYO HOTEL" car parking clearly and it's like that person is your room. No privacy for any romantic discussion. 7. So many dogs barking around this homestay at night and sometimes monkey knock on your room window which I feels scary. 8. Some People smoke in-front of this homestay since there is one shop in front of "Oriole Homestay" where people purchase and enjoy to smoke cigarette and tea. 9. WI-FI Internet range does not come in this room so we have to depend upon our mobile data for browsing. Unfortunately, I did not feels to take photos of this home stay because we did not enjoyed our stay here.
