Its difficult to motivate off the balcony as the views from the room could be a postcard and are hard to replicate. The location is tranquil and quiet yet close by to everything Fira has to offer. The restaurant recommendations from Maria were spot on and we were convinced that because she booked our reservations we got extra special treatment, great tables in the hottest restaurants with warm greetings and exceptional service. The hospitality at Asma is perfect, we loved the expresso maker & so without asking they overstocked our supplies so we were never without. Breakfast everyday delivered to the patio seats with such a warm hello started everyday off great. The experience is heavenly. Hot tub was spotless and clean. Santorini is a magical experience and Asma is an example of 5 star hospitality perfected by the whole team. Only wish is we could’ve stayed forever.

Walking distance to Fira bus station which is the main bus hub. So the location is ideal too. Always felt so safe even returning late at night. Thrasos was soooo hospitable. So were all the staff! Breakfast was delicious and the daily views are tranquil and sooo therapeutic! HIghly recommend this to anyone who is looking for an accommodation with a view, yet private, yet centrally located. Hopefully able to revisit and stay again this lifetime! :)

Very disappointed (do not book honeymoon suite)
Reviewed By R9243SCcraigsWe stayed here in May 2022 and based on a) the cost and b) the fact we booked the honeymoon suite, my wife and I were so very disappointed. Despite the staff being very friendly there was lots to complain about: 1. Room: the honeymoon suite was big but very dark internally, because it's situated on the ground floor so you had to keep the 'curtains' drawn the entire time. Having said that, the curtains didn't fully cover the windows so were completely ineffective at keeping the light out in the mornings, meaning the room got pretty much fully light as soon as the sun rose (which is very early in the summer months!) There was no bin in the main room, our towels didn't get cleaned every day and were also quite old, the TV did not work, air con was not great, and it felt more like we were put aside rather than staying in a premier room. The bed was quite uncomfortable and the pillows rock hard. There is a kind-of kitchenette with a fridge, a sink and some plates, but no provisions to wash anything up, and no bowls for us to eat the cereal we bought from the local supermarket. It made us want to spend as much time away from the hotel as possible the whole time we were there. We were only provided with shampoo/shower gel (all in one), nothing else like conditioner or body lotion. The shower gel wasn't great, and when we'd used it all up we had to ask in reception for more. 2. Laundry. We needed to do some laundry while there. This cost 12 euros per load - we were expecting some cost but this seemed like a lot 3. Taxi: Unless you are very abled, you will need a taxi to get to and from Fira in the evenings as it's a 40-min walk. They booked us one for 15 euro but this was a private car - not a taxi - who guilted us into giving a tip as well, for a journey that is 4 minutes by car. Book a taxi yourselves. We were furious. 4. The pictures implied you got a bath and bathrobes in the honeymoon suite...you do not. The only notion of this room being a 'honeymoon' suite was some white ribbon hanging off the clothes hangers. Despite this there was some upsides: 1. Friendly staff 2. Location. Whilst it is NOT in Fira, rather a 40 min walk away, it is a good location for those who do not mind a walking as the sun set views are incredible if you walk outside the complex on an evening stroll to Fira. Note: you will need a car if you want to see more of the island (which we did). Overall, we were very disappointed and cannot endorse this hotel. It was incredibly expensive for what we received.

Exceptional Staff, Superb Hotel & Location
Reviewed By John VWe have just returned from staying seven nights at the Winery Hotel. Its located in the heart of Fira with easy access to all local attractions. The rooms are all unique, having originally been a working winery. The staff work extremely hard to keep the hotel spotlessly clean and rooms stocked with toiletries, pods for the Nespresso machine and clean linen and towels. An extensive breakfast is provided daily. We unfortunately had a problem with the breakfast over a couple of days, this was nothing to do with the hotel but they went out of their way to correct things. All the staff are friendly and very approachable but I have to give a big thank you particularly to Katai, the day manager, for all her help and kindness during our stay, she made our trip very special.

Reviewed By deberailWe visited Santorini during 3 days this August and stayed two nights in Altea Apartments. We are a family with 3 children. Altea Hotel is very conveniently located. Walking distance from Thera and its amazing view, from the bus station (you can visit the whole Island from there) and from a bakery and shops. But I would say that the best from Altea is the management. They take care of everything, instantly reply to your messages and provide a lot of useful information about Santorini. The apartment is very big, even being 5 we had a lot of space. I definitely recommend Altea Apartments.

Reviewed By lorna hthis place was truly amazing room was very clean and a good size nothing was to much whatever you needed all the staff were super friendly nick in reception and eirini theoni who cooked lovely food and amelia who made the best cocktails behind the bar and a great waitress this place is in a perfect location to get around the island buses only 10mins away town centre again 10 mins supermarket also very close by i would say this is the best location to see all the places as its only 1 bus ride to each destination all in about half hour by bus which are very cheap and run very frequently the pool area is spotless well the whole place was to be honest anyone not sure where to stay this is the place you wont be dissapointed welldone ifestos villa by the time i left you all felt like family thankyou for the very warm welcome we for sure will be returning

Reviewed By WoodbrookstarI booked 2 rooms in this hotel as it was close to the airport (3km) . We arrived late after 11pm and was greeted by a lovely girl she welcomed us and checked us in. Rooms were clean and met all our needs. Breakfast self service good selection again vert friendly staff. We checked out and I can recommend this hotel to you.
