La Troje de Adobe

Absolutely fantastic. 10/10.

We had a short stay in Creel before taking the Chepe Express so stayed here for two nights. Our stay was absolutely fantastic. The rooms are nicely decorated and the vibe of the hotel is really nice. It drops cold at night so lots of blankets on the bed was beneficial and we also had a heater that we could use if necessary. Hot water in the showers was consistent and toiletries (shampoo and soap) and towels were provided. There’s a cafe on the ground floor, two floors of rooms and both have communal areas, plus a balcony area with a washing line which is super convenient. The owner is so lovely; he was super welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much of an ask. Very well located, only a 2 minute (if that) walk from both the bus station and the main street. Could not ask for more out of a hotel. Would absolutely recommend staying here if in Creel.

I went to see famous Copper Canyon with gate 1 tour. On original plan, it was supposed to stay at Mirador hotel (only other hotel on the rim of the canyon. Rooms: rooms are spacious with nice combination of basic, wooden features with modern bathroom attached. As they promise, "every room" has a balcony" with excellent canyon view and this is a winner for me and you can relax on the chair provided. Amenities: be sure to spend some time at big lodge with big window to see the canyon and enjoy honest vendors in front of the hotel. - Indigenous Raramuri people from nearby village are selling handmade goods at very fair price (not like in cabo, Cancún or curise ship stops). - Also famous Chepe train station is literally in front of the hotel. Food, service: I would say adequate. Food at times repetitive but hey, it is cooked well and did not sick after eating. Many tour groups and local fighting for table at times. - Also this hotel provide daily allowance of free water bottles (unlike money grabbing Mirador hotel does not). Hidden gem: be sure to check out short trail to hill (owned and maintained by the hotel) - check out cliff dwellers' old houses, archeological artifacts and BEST of all - amazing view of the expensive canyon from the top and if you happened to be at the time Chepe train is coming to the station, excellent photo op! Warning: do not drink or even rinse tap water from bathroom - it is for washing, only water source in that area. Use provided water bottle to brush your teeth etc.

Great Value

If you have to stay a night in Creel to ride El Chepe, this is a great inexpensive option. We arrived late on a Saturday, after 11:00pm. Since we had called ahead they were expecting us. Once we arrived we called the number listed on the building and Guadalupe happily let us in. The rooms were spartan, but sparkling clean, with plenty of hot water. Perfect for a few tired travelers wanting to sleep before a day on the train. But make sure you have water with you when you arrive as there was no bottled water provided. BTW, it's a short four block walk to the train station. Would I stay here again? 100% yes. It was perfect.

Huge hassle

I booked three nights through booking.com. The hotel messaged me and wanted to change rooms each night, then said they may be awhile greeting us as they were busy in the back even though they knew what time we were arriving, then said they couldn’t accommodate us. They charged my credit card anyway. Booking.com was great and is refunding the money. What a hassle

Lugar económico para pernoctar, carece de personal.

Reviewed By Floexx

Hacienda Don Armando

Over priced noisey hotel with issues

Reviewed By EarthwalkingMexican

This hotel is very disappointing in many ways. It is not a "Spa" hotel, it does not have a spa. It has a pool but no treatments like massages etc which a spa would have. The hotel advertises as having sound proofed rooms but it does not as mentioned by other guest reviews. There are gaps under the doors ( see photos) and around the windows so you can hear roosters all night outside, people partying around the pool area ananging up outside every room! ( See photo) The music is turned on from 8.30 am to 10pm every day. You can not relax in your room or hear your TV. 20 speakers playing loud music is not relaxing. The hotel should only have music in the restaurant and reception area not in the guest sleeping areas. This place should be perfect for the expensive price but it isn't. We were told we had the best suite in the hotel but no closet in the rooms for clothes. No shelves in the bathroom to put shampoo etc. Curtains are very thin so this allows light in to the room from the hotel lights. Furniture is cheaply made and definitely not "boutique". Tiles are stained in the shower. Much better and cheaper hotels closer to town.
