The Caletta B & B a few steps from the sea, set in a quiet area from where we can easily reach over the small cove of rocks in front, were two of the most famous beaches in the area: The Three Islets (popular with families) and La Crescent (for younger). It is offered to customers two chairs and an umbrella.
Nice weekend
Reviewed By Sara DWe have been there for (only) two nights and our stay has been very nice. The room was clean, the breakfast tasty and generous and we could also try typical ‘pasticciotti leccesi’. You may need a car to reach it, but beaches are around 10 minutes by walk and its location grants a lot of silence all day long and during the night and you will never find it crowded, as there are only four rooms. Mauro, the host, was very nice and you can buy there traditional olive oil. I really suggest it if you are planning relaxing stays at the sea.

Reviewed By 001RitaWe have just spent a week at this hotel and we throughly enjoyed it. Our room was large with a quirky twist. Very clean hotel and a wonderful breakfast. Laid back atmosphere but everything was perfect. Good situation for exploring Puglia. Very pleasant and helpful staff.

a wonderful week
Reviewed By alison gJust returned from a wonderful week staying in this lovely house in Carovigno with my husband, my doughter. We had visited Ostuni before but the opportunity to stay 'intra-mural' was too good to miss so we booked, I am pleased to say that everything lived up to our expectations and the description on the website. Arranging the booking and the payment with the owner was smooth and simple, they were friendly and courteous and happy to answer my questions. The house was clean and well maintained with everything we needed for a great holiday; visiting in December we made a lot of use of the quiet. Carovigno is a picturesque town with great restaurants, cafes and bars - all of these were literally on our doorstep, aswell as some great gardens to enjoy without having to take the car out. Everywhere you go you can buy local produce, from the superb wine and mozzarella cheeses, to juicy fruit and honey and not forgetting the oil - all of which are well worth a try!! On the days we left the town, we went to the beach at S.ta Sabina or visited historic attractions such as the Castle, Alberobello trulls, Castellana Cave, Lecce with his baroque, etc - all in easy driving distance, and accessed via the beautiful road. We love this region of Italy and I would recommend this property to couples or families who are either looking for a perfect base to explore the area or just seeking out a relaxing get-away with first-class facilities. Good service and okay food
Reviewed By Maxim HWe had lovely pasta and seafood here. Quality fair but not as good as some of the other places. Seafood is so good in Puglia that you have to be on top of your game as a restauranteur. The lobster pasta had a nice little tail but the pasta was average in terms of flavour. It did not help that it was empty but we were early - anything before 9 is early in Italy. It is 5 min drive from the seafront.

A Mansion to Call our Own
Reviewed By HavasupaiWe just returned from a 3 night stay in Carovigno spending our days seeing the sites of Puglia. Carovigno is a great and central place for doing exactly this. We had the place to ourselves - check out the pictures on their website - its a mini-mansion! Breakfast was offered at John Pierre's bistrot a short distance away and that was very good indeed. Carovigno, in itself is a small town with just a few dining options but after long days of seeing Ostruni, Locorotondo, Lecce, Alberobello, Monopoli and Polignana, settling in for pasta and a beer on the main piazza was great. For the money, this pace can't be beat!!

Reviewed By annesophien4551) Owner is very nice, helpful and accommodating 2) Breakfast is a joke for a four star hotel: Kellogg’s cereals (presented in their commercial packaging), biscuits / cookies all bought from the supermarket (they are presented in their commercial packaging, Oreos and your regular cookies will be on offer for breakfast), carrot cake (same exact cake over the two breakfasts we had, full cake was offered then the remaining half was offered the next day), fruits, orange juice, boiled or scrambled eggs, croissants; no cheese, no pancake, nothing else beyond the above. 3) Room is a joke for a four style hotel (it would barely qualify for a good 3 star hotel): the worst room I’ve had over my stay in Puglia, the most basic bed, bedside table and bathroom you can imagine 4) Swimming pool is nice enough If you get the room for 150 euro a night then by all means go for it, it’s 15mn away by car from Otsuni but anything more than 150 euros a night is outrageous (we paid 220 euro a night). Again, owner is nice and accommodating and Otsuni lacks of accommodations in high season (July and August) so the owner is taking advantage of the situation.

Nell'ancient farm recently restored Malavera of 1877 was born the B & B Demetra, just 500 meters from Carovigno, where you can enjoy the tranquility in the company of beautiful olive trees and the citrus and its intoxicating scents. The B & B has 5 rooms born from 'old manger and the old barn, composed by typical vaulted stone star that have maintained the charm of old rural dwellings. The breakfast room which is also made up of the typical vaulted, an ancient well and typical chianche of Apulia is the backdrop to consume in a charming atmosphere of the breakfast!!!
