Dedicata a coloro che hanno voglia di relax, ma anche di scoprire un mondo estremamente affascinante dal punto di vista naturalistico.
Not worth it
Reviewed By agnav2019It’s hard to find where to begin. We were really struggling to find the positives, but the ones that we picked are: - The hotel is located in beautiful capo vaticano and the views are breathtaking; - The receptionist is a very nice guy, always polite and ready to help; - The room was cleaned and tidied every single day. BUT there were so many negatives.. - Firstly, there was an insane humidity in our room as the room in itself had only one tiny window. Even the bedsheets felt wet and the towels and the room had a smell. We asked to change the room, however it was 150€ extra; - Secondly, there is a hidden fee for - the beach towels, transportation to the beach and the lounge chairs as well as the umbrella on the beach. The so called bus takes you to the beach only three times a day - at 9.30am, at 10am and at 1pm so if you don’t get onto one of those you can find yourself walking down a slippery path down the hill because a four star hotel doesn’t have a normal path to its private beach. Nonetheless, you have to take the towels in the reception and bring them down yourself and then bring them back up again.. Moreover, a four star hotel doesn’t have a toilet on the beach. Thus, the shower is not working properly on the beach; - Thirdly, when we booked the room, it didn’t say that the booking is full board. So apparently breakfast, lunch and dinner were included into the price. But let me tell you this - what a huge disappointment the food was!! We managed to find at least something to eat during breakfast (the coffee from the coffee machine was horrendous), but the dinner was something worth forgetting and the sooner, the better. We would have much rather had an option to choose half board and pay less, than have an unnecessary full board which we never used. - Fourthly, we were supposed to stay there for 5 nights, but ended up checking out after 3. To our disappointment, nobody seemed to care why we have decided to leave and check out earlier, nobody seemed to be bothered to ask what was wrong. All in all, this hotel deserves max 3 stars. The quality doesn’t match the price and it’s definitely not worth the money you are paying.

We can guarantee a vacation away from any noise. From some of the rooms you can see the coastal mountains as well as the silhouette of Sicily. The rooms are comfortably furnished and very clean. All rooms have their own bathroom, airco and wireless internet access. We offer our guests free transport to the beach and back and the deck-chairs and sunshades are free as well.A very important plus of the hotel is the quality and authenticity of the products used in the kitchen. Mostly they come from the own ground or from little farms in the neighbourhood. Near the hotel lies the approx. 5 acres Fruit and vegetable garden where a big part of the products are grown. Not only hotel guest are served but also lots of gourmets coming from the whole region which highly enjoy the typical local menu’s.On the menu you´ll find all the Calabresian specialities (as for example homemade starters or grilled fish) as well as Pizza´s baked in our characteristic wood oven.

Ignazio and his team are just great. Delicious food and great conversation. We got lots of good advice and help for our trip. Thank you so much! We will come back as soon as possible.

Sea, eat, repeat
Reviewed By NicolaOrlI came here for one night. The hotel is fully new, built on top of a restaurant, same owners. The rooms were incredibly well equipped, 5-star like utilities, including a large balcony with drying rack and table. The rooms were very clean, position was great too, walkable distance from the main beech in Capo Vaticano. The owner was very accommodating, taking also into account that I was pretty late for my checkout, she didn’t complain at all and did’t charge me the extras she could have had due to my delay.

The rooms are new. Each room has 2-4 beds. In the oom there is: wardrobe,desk, fridge, air condition, bed sheets, bath with shower stall, bath towels, wc, bidet, hair dryer, veranda with table, chairs and clothes rack. In the hotel facility there is: entertainment (July- August), swimming pool, shuttle from/to the beach, soccer field, volleyball field, children play area, relax area, car park, wifi area, launderette, restaurant, bar, barbecue area, small farm, transfer arrival/departure from/to Ricadi station.

Lovely family hotel
Reviewed By Katarina SWarm family atmosphere welcomes you to this hotel. The food is very nice, with typical Italian dishes, and tasty desserts. The rooms are cleaned regularly. We had a cosy balcony with a sea view. We had a great time here, with friendly and kind staff. Mr Antonio and his daughters do their best to make you feel at home.

A perfect place for relaxing in Calabria
Reviewed By Uros77It turned out we made the right choice in choosing to stay with Graziella and Giovanni in their B&B instead of the neighbouring hotels. They are warm and accomodating hosts who will help you with any of your needs and wishes. They'll even organize a trip to the Eolian islands for you. Graziella really runs a tight ship. The appartments are newly equipped and (very!) clean. Each with a kitchen, a bathroom, air-conditioning and a TV (reads DVD and USB). There is a lovely terrace on top of the building with a view of the sea on both sides. It is lovely even just to sit in front of the appartment as there is a constant light breeze that will keep you cool even in the middle of the day. The building is placed between two small hotels, but still the neighbourhood is quiet and relaxing. The beach is not as close as one would like, but you can easily use the car and park on a free space (marked in white) 50 – 100 m from the beach or at any of the parking places just above the Grotticelle beach for 5 € per day. The nearest shop (and it's one of the cutest shops ever!) is a minute's walk from the B&B. There is also a Spar and a Conad supermarket just a short drive away. There are lots of nice places to eat around, just ask Graziella for recommendations. Make sure to order linen and towels – they are not included in the price – but Graziella will surely remind you before you arrive. Oh and Graziella speaks very good English and German.
